This game... I've been waiting for its release since high school, and now I've graduated from college, and it's still developing. Crazy to realize that we get to play GTA6 before this.
We might see elder scrolls 6 before Hytale happens. I don´t know anymore. Minecraft 2 has always been a dream. And Hytale seemed to be delivering that. But then again, this was sooo many years ago. I have listened to the Hytale OST over and over again. Now when I jump into Hytale someday in the year 2030 or so, the soundtrack will be like nostalgia, but not Hytale. They took that from me. My brain won´t be able to put Hytale and its OST into one memory. They are going to be separate from each other. As if I just put my favorite music on while playing a game. Never had that before

@@pizz2101 Nahh I don't think YEARS. They're just making a game where you use blocks. Not some AAA MMORPG or anything. I think the game has been pretty much finished they're just perfectionist and don't want any blemishes at all so I think they're in development hell for the time being. What they should of done was forgot about putting the game on smaller platforms like the switch and older consoles for now just to streamline the progress.
They need to release at least 5 minute gameplay video or something to keep people up because if they will go silent again with few words and some technical stuff it's not going to be enough to keep people interested.
they arent trying to keep people interested, quite the opposite. They want things to be quiet until the rebuild is mostly done and they can do a new trailer + beta or full release date soon after.

Im going to stop paying attention to this game until it actually comes out. These updates are so bite sized and far apart it's pointless to even release them.
This is what I've been doing since the trailer released! I lose interest temporarily, then after half a year or more I just suddenly remember Hytale and go out of my way to check on any updates. It's like an past-life dream at this point.
@@SwedishBroManDude Exactly what I do. It was kinda like STALKER2, I would keep forgetting it exists then go "Oh yeah... how's that game doing?" And see a TON of updates and dev posts and stuff. But when that happens for Hytale it's like... a once a year blog post showing a little art for the game and being like "We're working on it!" and like... okay... cool... Nothing really substantial or hinting that the game is getting close to release.
I swear, every six months I get excited about the new bit of news, get disappointed and amazed that they were more behind than the last one, then time happens and I get optimistic that perhaps they are moving forward

Hearing “the Hytale community” sounds so fucking weird considering that the entire community is based on videos, blog posts, an OST, hype, and concept art of a game that isn’t even out. It’s so goddamn weird.

i had to google squadron 42, it's been so long since i paid star citizen any mind so i forgot it still didn't have a single player campaign (slated for 2026) we can be pretty sure GTA 6 will eventually release, it'll crack it's skull tripping over the finish line (expectations are lofty for this much dev time and their last showing was just mid) but it'll get there (slated as of last mention for 2025) and while i'm struggling to imagine hytale winning this race (engine overhauls plus smaller team don't do great at this) it's still the only one i care about anymore (also i've started being a beta tester for another game while plotting my own game and i know the hellish reality that is making a game work)

I’ve said this almost every video but again; I’m glad this game is slowly and patiently coming along. Nothing kills my enjoyment for a game more than remembering the crunch devs had to go through to make it a reality. I also legit like the fact that I get to have this in the background to check in on. It’s like looking out my window and seeing a house being slowly built over the course of a few years, It’s neat when you see they’re gonna be adding a patio or a basement. I’m not eager, nor really should I be until it’s ready, and we’ll know that it is when the game gets advertised to hell and back by riot. People just be getting upset over something that has no negative effect on their lives at all. I almost think that they want it to be canceled so they can watch all “the rise and fall of hytale”. Just very silly all around. Hope the devs and creatives are doing great they deserve all the love in the world for working hard and taking their time despite the pressure of others.
I share the sentiment. I have faith that it'll be incredibly fun to play when it releases, it aligns perfectly with my interests. But until then, I'll tepidly follow its development, enjoying whatever comes our way. It's really obnoxious seeing the obsession and entitlement of others demanding updates and its release.
No it wasn't hyped too early. Hype set up lofty expectations that the Hytale they were making back then couldn't live up to so Hypixel literally decided to scrap the old engine, make a new engine from scratch, and then redo the progress they made up to the trailer release. Essentially they started over because of all the hype. Had there been much less reception Hypixel probably would've released it much earlier
It was hyped up back when it was thought that it'd be a smaller project then it currently is, what changed when it became an engine overhaul and much larger in scope is we're now sitting on the outside seeing an occasional peak in at how mind numbingly tedious these projects actually are when you don't have a premade template
@@punkypony5165the difference is that BG3 had a playable beta for 4 years. What does hytale have? 2D artwork of a game that might exist. They were finished or at least nearly finished developing the dynamic sound and lighting effects supposedly as we see in gameplay footage before the engine rework. That game was almost finished. You don’t work on dynamic sound effects near the beginning or middle of development. If the Hytale people are excited for was nearly finished in 2020 or perhaps even 2019, why were they so inclined to scrap the whole engine? If what they advertised in the trailer was what they had been planning the whole time before riot, what difference would it have made? The hytale we are waiting for right now is not the same hytale, everyone can agree with that. Better? Maybe. Bigger? Possibly. Better performance? Possibly. Here’s the problem though, they want to fulfill our expectations. They never said exceed them. Meaning the hytale we saw in the trailer either wasn’t what the actual game was like, or it’s a lie. If development was going to take at least 5 years for the new engine and everything, why not make the most of the product they spent tons of time and money on? Sell it as a beta, or even just an early access. They’d make money to help fund their project, at the very least. Instead they wasted years of development. Everyone wants hytale. No one asked for hytale 2 yet. Yet they’re so convinced everyone needs more than what we saw in the trailers. Here’s where speculation comes in. Warning, these are my opinions which are likely not going to be true. So don’t try to fact check me if you disagree. Hytale is a fake game, created using cleverly produced animations. No one has ever “played Hytale” and instead every bit of “gameplay” we’ve seen is just animated rendering. We’ve seen stuff being done in Hytale, but we’ve never seen the ‘game’ of hytale. Think about crafting. Very important part of a crafting adventure game. We’ve seen nothing. Think about stats such as armor, hunger, attack damage. We don’t know. They’ve said nothing about cave generation, progressing through the story, or even just a tech tree. This is all I know about actual gameplay, and if anyone knows other actual “gameplay” elements and not story or visuals, please tell: - Terrain generation - Loot from chests - farming - tactical combat with special attacks - magic spells - picking up rocks and throwing them - boss fights (or just rare powerful enemies) If anything, I think a crafting system overview would be enough to convince me this game is real. I actually really hope it is. Perhaps they’re simply not proud of their crafting system but that’s fine. It wouldn’t hurt if it was simple like terraria’s instead of shaped crafting. My other proposal is that the game is actually poorly made, or at least was, and the past few years have simply been work to cover up their mistake. They didn’t expect the popularity, which is known very well, which means they might not have done most of what they promised in the trailer. It might have just been the equivalent of Minecraft alpha. Regardless, Hytale has something up. Be it poor financial decisions, a lazy team, or just being a scam somehow (not likely since they aren’t raising money from the community) it’s going through something nonetheless. It’s obvious people are tired of waiting for this new game they want to make so bad instead of the original, but I can only ask why they wouldn’t have simply done this rework afterwards to clean up and allow for any console to play. Keep the alpha on PC since it was originally Java coded, make it $10 or something to support development for the official release, and release the final version for $20-60 with a discount or free to those who bought the alpha. If they’re that worried about people’s disappointment with the original game as they claim, what do they think is wrong with the game? If the original game was like the trailer, they had nothing to worry about since THAT is what people wanted.
The fact that there are still 32000 people watching Hytale news is so interesting to me. I have been hyped about the game since the Release Trailer five years ago - the game has not gone out of my head since. I will forever be hyped for Hytale no matter how much time passes. :)
Sadly, the other project that blew up while I was in college, Bionicle: Quest for Mata Nui is dead in the water as its creator tragically passed away, so I'm really hoping this one comes to fruition.
There is no world in which Hytale does not come out. They're backed by Riot and can be promoted to hell very quickly. My honest guess is that we have an either fully finished or closed/open beta tests sometime in 2026.

When 2022 came and went, people said it would be released late 2023. Now you say it will come out in 2026? Don't get me wrong thought, I am willing to wait, but my soul shakes in despair as we approach a decade of waiting with meager blog-posts and short clips of what could be. I have the feeling of having lost something dear to me, but I never had it in the first place.
This is what I don't get about hytale subreddits and youtubers. people seem to really care about the fact that "no one is talking about it" when the game is nearing release, people will remember the name of the game and will get into it based on the features and gameplay it promises. why does a game that is still in production need a constant stream of youtube content prepping it up?

Hytale has been in development since 2015 and has inexplicably managed to avoid the label of vaporware and keeps getting the benefit of the doubt when it fails to deliver any sort of real news time and time again. Wonder if 10 years will be when people finally realize its never coming out
You know, you could instead just read the blog posts yourself and read the twitter posts straight from hytale. It would be more trustworthy and you wouldn’t be pressured into someone’s narrative of the news. Example: Someone who is a hardcore fan of hytale might skew the info or display it in a certain way to make it seem more plausible for something such as a release date when in reality, the team didn’t confirm anything about that

Community does not bring out a game, the developer does and they have not shown or prove anything that would bring in any sort of confidence regarding a release. They made a mistake moving away from whatever engine they had before. The new images do NOT look better than any previous images we had.

It seems there won't be "too late" any time soon, because there's almost zero good 3D sandbox games. The niche is totally dominated by Minecraft, and i don't see them going away in any logical amount of time. And when Hytasle releases, marketing team is gonna do the rest.
I'm still rooting for the Dev's success and the success of Kweebec Roots! :D Also, I could totally picture it how there could be different kinds of Skellies, from those that are alive via 'Possessing Soul' kinda thing to those that are simply animated like puppets via Void Magic, and are distinguished most easily via their Eye Sockets Glow invoking the good ol' TVTrope "Color Coded for Convenience". :) Since Mr. Big Bad is a big shot at Void Magic Use, I could totally picture idiot fool Orbis Void Magic Users finding out about Mr. Big Bad's existence and plotting and scheming some 2 I.Q. Plot to summon Mr. Big Bad to Orbis craving the kinda power he could give, then that promptly not ending pretty and ending up becoming the beginning of the end of that Civilization, then eventually Orbis's Peace and Prosperity, and even Gaia not managing to stop it... prompting the need for us Player Character's help in setting things right. Still curious if the SP Story could end up open ended as to if 'help' is or is not what the Player Character can choose to give...? For some, the temptation of the Dark Side can be strong... also it's a known Big Bad Playbook trick to look for ways to trick Heroes into accidental making things worse for themselves and better for the Big Bad. :P Edit: How did Google Chrome's Spellchecker look at "fromm" and say "Hmm... no problem here."...? Yet it gives the razz to "Spellchecker"... 🤦♂
The hytale dev team is just a bunch of clones of yandare dev doing nothing but typing else if all day. In about 30 years there will be enough else if code to create a vague caricature of what could be considered an in dev game engine if you squint really hard.
Honestly, I'm kind of tired of seeing these updates. I understand the development hell the team is likely going through. I just wish they'd hold off on showing anything until the game is ready for actual trailers and/or release.
It's not like anything would change whether they do updates or not. No studio is obligated to be generous with their devlogs prior to release (perhaps that's their way of holding off), and tidbits are still of value to those interested in speculating what could be of the game. Transparency has never killed a game before - it's usually the opposite.
I think they're showing a little things to those dedicated few who are still interested. You're right, a secrecy is really benefiting the team rn, cause imagine what would've been if there were even more expectations
Ik Hytale is planning to reveal a lot of things in the coming time (hopefully anyway), but I think a better approach for them to take would be a consistent stream of bite-sized spoilers, rather than big announcements and grand reveals People really love and care about this game and just want to see it progress! Plus, as important as their milestones are to share, the details in any game are what really tie it together, and I think if they made monthly or so posts with just the most randomist details about certain things they've completed (e.g. particle animations, creature models, funny mistakes, mob behaviours, etc. etc.) people would be much kinder to the game's long developement But idk lol I just hope we see smth new soon ❤
I am concerned at this point just due to how long it is taking. Like we likely won't be seeing the game till mid 2026 at the earliest if its speculated that early testing is gonna start the very end of 2025, a year away lol. They have a huge team and it's taking this long, I'd have to imagine this game is gonna be massive but with how long it is taking and the growing saturation in Minecraft style clones in recent months I fear that the longer this takes and if it does not hit every single mark at release while simultaneously acquiring the entire internets attention and 100s of all the Top streamers and UA-camrs to play it.... this is kind of a all in living on a prayer. 2 years away most likely and.... we have been waiting how long now? Also worth noting it also has to get lucky with the release date and current status on games like Roblox, Minecraft & Fortnite on release, if they are peaking yet again it could severely hurt this game's launch too.
Someone should re-make this game and allow you to personalize your character as freely as Minecraft did, something about the player models just has a lifeless look, everyone is gonna look the same

so many people just want them to release the game already, but here is the thing.... if they releases it now, and it ends up having a LOT of bugs and or missing features, people will complain and say the game needed more dev time. the longer it's in dev time, the more of a chance the devs have to actually add in promised features. we know it will eventually release. just need patience. hell i waited like 8 years for Dead Island 2, and that game was kinda bad, all objectives in that game were pretty much the same and it honestly could have used 1-2 more years of dev time. so im patient for Hytale
I wonder of they'll go with a more interesting name for the faction than just Undead. Maybe The Unmade, creators and builders just like you that were struck down and abandoned and are now under the influence of a dark force against their wills, and there could be friendly undead as well with blue eyes that have managed to escape from the influence of the dark force but are still bound to their skeletal forms.
Genuinely so excited about this game. Haven't heard anything since the announcement of the game so everything I saw in this video was all new to me. The game looks amazing tho cant wait for a new blocky survival game to play.
About the negative comments: Hytale looks bad. It has been years, and i don't mean 1 or 2... It has been 5 whole years. A game like Hytale could easily be produced from concept to finished product in that span alone. It is very weird and unusuall to make a block game for 10 years until we see a release (which seem pretty much how it looks)...
I don’t exactly know why I’m not dissatisfied or disappointed by the delays but my main hypothesis’s are either my forgetfulness (😅) or that it’s due to delays being not uncommon in my own family (we’re all creatives, I used to joke that we were essentially an extremely extended Artist’s Retreat lol) so the concept of showing off your art and getting a one-two punch of inspiration and high expectations from fans and then deciding to rewrite it to meet those expectations while including the new ideas the fans provided was familiar to me (never experienced it myself but being a creative I can empathize and recognize it from the wider creative community) and it honestly made total sense! All those new perspectives and high hopes would not only fuel you to make it better but also pressure you to make it better, my main disappointment is that they didn’t try to stand their ground more and stick with their initial ideas but It’s not my game, so who am I to tell them what to do?? That’s not much job 🤷♀️

I think the creators don’t really care if allot of people lose interest since they’re backed up by riot who literally is a money maker company. They can easily be promoted heavily after releasing a trailer.
I´ve been waiting for the Game since it was announced on Hypixels server, and Hyped after watching the Trailer 6-7 years ago. I will pray for it to Release Soon so all the *this game is dead because it took too long* or *this woud´ve been a hit if it came out Earlier* People. Can see that it wont matter much because it is made by a Team with Passion and will be Great Regardless of the 7 years of Elevator music. Im Hoping that the Little Boys or Girls that are now Adults will still give it a shot, and be Happy when finally playing it. Have a Good one Fellas!.
they should add some kind of wynncraft style spell system for different weapons and/or classes for it to be good-good. i mean like left-left-left mouse button click combo and more that activate different abilities you can have.
i'm really interested in hearing from the team about how the engine/language change will affect modding. i think i remember seeing once that they wouldn't have actual loader mods with scripts and what-not and instead would have some kind of online GUI based mod development system. as a programmer, i'm concerned that modding may become convoluted or less powerful than with minecraft.
I have been waiting for this game for 6, long, years. I have been clinging on to whatever hope their is left that this game will actually release in 2025 or 2026. I have waited patiently with little to no complaints but no, nothing, little to no news, screenshots, or anything regarding the actual launch of the game or how development is going, just a bunch of speculations as usual.
i hope the creative tools will be available as a seperate app early getting back into hytale was a mistake need to unhype so i can be suprised when it does come out
Did you see a post in twitter from developer with "knight" avatar said that there will be only first 3 zones on the first public release(beta or release, idk) annd they will add more zones later
When the engine is released, will we be able to program games outside the boundaries of Hytale itself? Or will it act similar to Minecraft and Roblox in which we can only make games hosted within?
I used to be so excited about this game because I was enjoying Minecraft, Terraria, Stardew Valley, Valheim etc. for years. It's been so long now I haven't played most of those in like three years. I'm just not really excited about Hytale anymore, which is disappointing because it still seems like my dream game.
This is ridiculous I don't understand why they think just giving images and gameplay is enough, why not let people beta test the game to help develop the game ,because now people will be very much expecting a perfect game with how long this game has been in development.

i had to google squadron 42, it's been so long since i paid star citizen any mind so i forgot it still didn't have a single player campaign (slated for 2026)
we can be pretty sure GTA 6 will eventually release, it'll crack it's skull tripping over the finish line (expectations are lofty for this much dev time and their last showing was just mid) but it'll get there (slated as of last mention for 2025)
and while i'm struggling to imagine hytale winning this race (engine overhauls plus smaller team don't do great at this) it's still the only one i care about anymore (also i've started being a beta tester for another game while plotting my own game and i know the hellish reality that is making a game work)

I’ve said this almost every video but again; I’m glad this game is slowly and patiently coming along. Nothing kills my enjoyment for a game more than remembering the crunch devs had to go through to make it a reality.
I also legit like the fact that I get to have this in the background to check in on. It’s like looking out my window and seeing a house being slowly built over the course of a few years, It’s neat when you see they’re gonna be adding a patio or a basement. I’m not eager, nor really should I be until it’s ready, and we’ll know that it is when the game gets advertised to hell and back by riot.
People just be getting upset over something that has no negative effect on their lives at all. I almost think that they want it to be canceled so they can watch all “the rise and fall of hytale”. Just very silly all around. Hope the devs and creatives are doing great they deserve all the love in the world for working hard and taking their time despite the pressure of others.
I share the sentiment. I have faith that it'll be incredibly fun to play when it releases, it aligns perfectly with my interests. But until then, I'll tepidly follow its development, enjoying whatever comes our way. It's really obnoxious seeing the obsession and entitlement of others demanding updates and its release.

No it wasn't hyped too early. Hype set up lofty expectations that the Hytale they were making back then couldn't live up to so Hypixel literally decided to scrap the old engine, make a new engine from scratch, and then redo the progress they made up to the trailer release.
Essentially they started over because of all the hype. Had there been much less reception Hypixel probably would've released it much earlier
if its any consolation some people are saying beta or alpha mid 2025. Also BG3 had a similarly long development period.

It was hyped up back when it was thought that it'd be a smaller project then it currently is, what changed when it became an engine overhaul and much larger in scope is we're now sitting on the outside seeing an occasional peak in at how mind numbingly tedious these projects actually are when you don't have a premade template

They were finished or at least nearly finished developing the dynamic sound and lighting effects supposedly as we see in gameplay footage before the engine rework. That game was almost finished. You don’t work on dynamic sound effects near the beginning or middle of development.
If the Hytale people are excited for was nearly finished in 2020 or perhaps even 2019, why were they so inclined to scrap the whole engine? If what they advertised in the trailer was what they had been planning the whole time before riot, what difference would it have made? The hytale we are waiting for right now is not the same hytale, everyone can agree with that. Better? Maybe. Bigger? Possibly. Better performance? Possibly.
Here’s the problem though, they want to fulfill our expectations. They never said exceed them. Meaning the hytale we saw in the trailer either wasn’t what the actual game was like, or it’s a lie.
If development was going to take at least 5 years for the new engine and everything, why not make the most of the product they spent tons of time and money on? Sell it as a beta, or even just an early access. They’d make money to help fund their project, at the very least. Instead they wasted years of development. Everyone wants hytale. No one asked for hytale 2 yet. Yet they’re so convinced everyone needs more than what we saw in the trailers.
Here’s where speculation comes in. Warning, these are my opinions which are likely not going to be true. So don’t try to fact check me if you disagree.
Hytale is a fake game, created using cleverly produced animations. No one has ever “played Hytale” and instead every bit of “gameplay” we’ve seen is just animated rendering. We’ve seen stuff being done in Hytale, but we’ve never seen the ‘game’ of hytale. Think about crafting. Very important part of a crafting adventure game. We’ve seen nothing. Think about stats such as armor, hunger, attack damage. We don’t know. They’ve said nothing about cave generation, progressing through the story, or even just a tech tree. This is all I know about actual gameplay, and if anyone knows other actual “gameplay” elements and not story or visuals, please tell:
- Terrain generation
- Loot from chests
- farming
- tactical combat with special attacks
- magic spells
- picking up rocks and throwing them
- boss fights (or just rare powerful enemies)
If anything, I think a crafting system overview would be enough to convince me this game is real. I actually really hope it is. Perhaps they’re simply not proud of their crafting system but that’s fine. It wouldn’t hurt if it was simple like terraria’s instead of shaped crafting.
My other proposal is that the game is actually poorly made, or at least was, and the past few years have simply been work to cover up their mistake. They didn’t expect the popularity, which is known very well, which means they might not have done most of what they promised in the trailer. It might have just been the equivalent of Minecraft alpha.
Regardless, Hytale has something up. Be it poor financial decisions, a lazy team, or just being a scam somehow (not likely since they aren’t raising money from the community) it’s going through something nonetheless. It’s obvious people are tired of waiting for this new game they want to make so bad instead of the original, but I can only ask why they wouldn’t have simply done this rework afterwards to clean up and allow for any console to play. Keep the alpha on PC since it was originally Java coded, make it $10 or something to support development for the official release, and release the final version for $20-60 with a discount or free to those who bought the alpha.
If they’re that worried about people’s disappointment with the original game as they claim, what do they think is wrong with the game? If the original game was like the trailer, they had nothing to worry about since THAT is what people wanted.
The fact that there are still 32000 people watching Hytale news is so interesting to me. I have been hyped about the game since the Release Trailer five years ago - the game has not gone out of my head since. I will forever be hyped for Hytale no matter how much time passes. :)
Sadly, the other project that blew up while I was in college, Bionicle: Quest for Mata Nui is dead in the water as its creator tragically passed away, so I'm really hoping this one comes to fruition.

There is no world in which Hytale does not come out. They're backed by Riot and can be promoted to hell very quickly. My honest guess is that we have an either fully finished or closed/open beta tests sometime in 2026.

Don't get me wrong thought, I am willing to wait, but my soul shakes in despair as we approach a decade of waiting with meager blog-posts and short clips of what could be. I have the feeling of having lost something dear to me, but I never had it in the first place.

It seems there won't be "too late" any time soon, because there's almost zero good 3D sandbox games. The niche is totally dominated by Minecraft, and i don't see them going away in any logical amount of time. And when Hytasle releases, marketing team is gonna do the rest.

Since Mr. Big Bad is a big shot at Void Magic Use, I could totally picture idiot fool Orbis Void Magic Users finding out about Mr. Big Bad's existence and plotting and scheming some 2 I.Q. Plot to summon Mr. Big Bad to Orbis craving the kinda power he could give, then that promptly not ending pretty and ending up becoming the beginning of the end of that Civilization, then eventually Orbis's Peace and Prosperity, and even Gaia not managing to stop it... prompting the need for us Player Character's help in setting things right. Still curious if the SP Story could end up open ended as to if 'help' is or is not what the Player Character can choose to give...? For some, the temptation of the Dark Side can be strong... also it's a known Big Bad Playbook trick to look for ways to trick Heroes into accidental making things worse for themselves and better for the Big Bad. :P

By the time they get to releasing the game, they'll have to redo the entire game cause of a new engine.
The hytale dev team is just a bunch of clones of yandare dev doing nothing but typing else if all day. In about 30 years there will be enough else if code to create a vague caricature of what could be considered an in dev game engine if you squint really hard.
Honestly, I'm kind of tired of seeing these updates. I understand the development hell the team is likely going through. I just wish they'd hold off on showing anything until the game is ready for actual trailers and/or release.
It's not like anything would change whether they do updates or not. No studio is obligated to be generous with their devlogs prior to release (perhaps that's their way of holding off), and tidbits are still of value to those interested in speculating what could be of the game. Transparency has never killed a game before - it's usually the opposite.
I think they're showing a little things to those dedicated few who are still interested. You're right, a secrecy is really benefiting the team rn, cause imagine what would've been if there were even more expectations

Ik Hytale is planning to reveal a lot of things in the coming time (hopefully anyway), but I think a better approach for them to take would be a consistent stream of bite-sized spoilers, rather than big announcements and grand reveals
People really love and care about this game and just want to see it progress! Plus, as important as their milestones are to share, the details in any game are what really tie it together, and I think if they made monthly or so posts with just the most randomist details about certain things they've completed (e.g. particle animations, creature models, funny mistakes, mob behaviours, etc. etc.) people would be much kinder to the game's long developement

I am concerned at this point just due to how long it is taking. Like we likely won't be seeing the game till mid 2026 at the earliest if its speculated that early testing is gonna start the very end of 2025, a year away lol.
They have a huge team and it's taking this long, I'd have to imagine this game is gonna be massive but with how long it is taking and the growing saturation in Minecraft style clones in recent months I fear that the longer this takes and if it does not hit every single mark at release while simultaneously acquiring the entire internets attention and 100s of all the Top streamers and UA-camrs to play it.... this is kind of a all in living on a prayer.
2 years away most likely and.... we have been waiting how long now? Also worth noting it also has to get lucky with the release date and current status on games like Roblox, Minecraft & Fortnite on release, if they are peaking yet again it could severely hurt this game's launch too.

so many people just want them to release the game already, but here is the thing.... if they releases it now, and it ends up having a LOT of bugs and or missing features, people will complain and say the game needed more dev time.
the longer it's in dev time, the more of a chance the devs have to actually add in promised features. we know it will eventually release. just need patience.

Maybe The Unmade, creators and builders just like you that were struck down and abandoned and are now under the influence of a dark force against their wills, and there could be friendly undead as well with blue eyes that have managed to escape from the influence of the dark force but are still bound to their skeletal forms.

About the negative comments: Hytale looks bad. It has been years, and i don't mean 1 or 2... It has been 5 whole years. A game like Hytale could easily be produced from concept to finished product in that span alone. It is very weird and unusuall to make a block game for 10 years until we see a release (which seem pretty much how it looks)...
I don’t exactly know why I’m not dissatisfied or disappointed by the delays but my main hypothesis’s are either my forgetfulness (😅) or that it’s due to delays being not uncommon in my own family (we’re all creatives, I used to joke that we were essentially an extremely extended Artist’s Retreat lol) so the concept of showing off your art and getting a one-two punch of inspiration and high expectations from fans and then deciding to rewrite it to meet those expectations while including the new ideas the fans provided was familiar to me (never experienced it myself but being a creative I can empathize and recognize it from the wider creative community) and it honestly made total sense! All those new perspectives and high hopes would not only fuel you to make it better but also pressure you to make it better, my main disappointment is that they didn’t try to stand their ground more and stick with their initial ideas but It’s not my game, so who am I to tell them what to do?? That’s not much job 🤷♀️

I think the creators don’t really care if allot of people lose interest since they’re backed up by riot who literally is a money maker company. They can easily be promoted heavily after releasing a trailer.

I´ve been waiting for the Game since it was announced on Hypixels server, and Hyped after watching the Trailer 6-7 years ago. I will pray for it to Release Soon so all the *this game is dead because it took too long* or *this woud´ve been a hit if it came out Earlier* People. Can see that it wont matter much because it is made by a Team with Passion and will be Great Regardless of the 7 years of Elevator music. they should add some kind of wynncraft style spell system for different weapons and/or classes for it to be good-good. i mean like left-left-left mouse button click combo and more that activate different abilities you can have.

i'm really interested in hearing from the team about how the engine/language change will affect modding. i think i remember seeing once that they wouldn't have actual loader mods with scripts and what-not and instead would have some kind of online GUI based mod development system. as a programmer, i'm concerned that modding may become convoluted or less powerful than with minecraft.
that scares me aswell. I fear they will cripple the power of modding to appeal to some script kiddies

I used to be so excited about this game because I was enjoying Minecraft, Terraria, Stardew Valley, Valheim etc. for years. It's been so long now I haven't played most of those in like three years. I'm just not really excited about Hytale anymore, which is disappointing because it still seems like my dream game.
