You are absolutely right that he can go forty-five seconds in the 100yd I.M. Technically speaking, he can go forty-five point sixty-four hundredth of a second in the event. Back when he went onto to set a world record in the 100scm I.M. at Instabul in 2012, the time he set was fifty point seventy-one hundredth of a second in the event. Once you know the swimmer's yard time in short course yards, all you do to find out a swimmer's time in short course meters is divide the swimmer's yard time by zero point nine hundredth of a second, just in case you were wondering as to how I have figured it out .i.e., what is his short course yard time would be in the event.
@@basemmagd9185 well, that's not entirely genuine. For length conversion that is correct, but in actuality, the first 25y of a 25m lap are the fastest, because of the turns. Swimming is basically all about not slowing down inbetween turns. So in Theory, the time could actually be even faster. Crazy to think about how fast Caeleb Dressel could be in a 100y IM. By the 'simple' conversion you propose, Dressel would go 44.6 in the 100y IM. pretty prety pretty good.

Yeah, that conversion tool is totally unreliable, but Dressel would definitely swim this 2 seconds fasters. Of course, he's also 12 years younger than Lochte.
