This the very first video that I have seen that actually showed the whole process. I’m new to showing my work and asked a number of people how to do this. Each time I got the exact same answer; it’s easy, you’ll figure it out. Well it may be easy, but it’s essential to be taught the important parameters, and apparently no one teaches that part.

OMG where have you been all my life 😋 You would faint if you saw some of the madness I've perpetrated on artwork. I love all your videos, but this one has to be my favorite. Thanks!

Most at shows I have entered are pretty specific how they want the back finished! I learned a long time ago how to do this. Very good video. I will be sharing this.

I cannot tell you how many times I have done it wrong! Thanks for much for the very helpful information. Now all I need is to get a pair of wire cutters, so my regular scissors won't get so junked.

Julie: "Listen up mofos. I better not have to say all this all over again."
Forreal though, hanging day is a big enough pain without having to adjust and recalculate because artists didn't install their D-rings and wire properly. Great job and many thanks Julie!!!

Thank you for this demo and information. I would like to know more about framing in general. Like how to select an appropriate frame for different types of art work. What finishes, colors and materials to use. Does and don’ts. I never would have thought to put such a heavy gold frame on that piece of your art work. But it was lovely. How did you decide on that?

I was taught an additional step..wrapping and covering the wound wire with tape.. this prevents the wire from leaving a mark on the wall.

In a pinch, I use soda can pop-tops for the d-rings

I need to get wire that's not so thick so it's easier to get around the D ring.

I actually tension mounted it with a few pieces of dry silicone. (Not glued) I can always pop it out easily with a flat head screwdriver if needed. Thanks for your question. 😉
