I have been watching videos on Plaster Sculpture and this is the first use of paper rolls. I collect them so would definitely be a great option for me. Thank you.
Question, I live in a high humid area, Cozumel, Mexico. Do you have any suggestions for what type of fabric would be suitable? Dampness, mold and rust are a big problem here because of the ocean and salt.
If you’re talking about Gia marie this isn’t how she makes hers. Hers have a tonne more fluidity than this technique - it’s stiff and limits you in terms of design!
Zònòlyght ??? 0:34 This is for carving in very light. Looks like old stone. Years ago I sculpted and I forgot the mixture. I know it has plant type additives
Curious if you are adding Gel medium to make the plaster less likely to crack and fall off? I am just curious as I am doing a lot of research? I have an artist friend who did a piece with plaster and it didn't adhere permanently and she ended up having to go pick up the piece of art down the road when the plaster suddenly slid off. I think she ended up doing it differently or doing another piece for her collector. So I am curious!
Your my favorite teacher. I’ve learned so much
I like so much this kind of art, beautiful job
Супер! Благодарю Вас! ❤

I have wants to make this forever. Thank you for sharing, using toilet paper rolls was genius! 🥰
It just helps to give it more structure and let’s you have more control over the design

Your course is so good. I really enjoy.

can you show how you tucked in the back of the canvas? Ty
I loved this, thanks for sharing!
Thank you for sharing!
I found a lady on Instagram who sells these and was wondering how she makes them, then you uploaded!!! 😮
Me too! I could not figure out how she did them, I think the toilet paper rolls makes all the difference. So excited to make one now.

I'm pretty sure that giant uses rolled out modelling clay first to create her shape and then uses plaster of paris to build it up.
❤❤❤❤❤
dope
Thank you for this tutorial!!! May I know if the fabric is cotton? :)
Will this work on vases? Beautiful work!!
I haven’t really thought about that. I guess it could in theory
very nice work
So you didn’t have to staple the cloth at the back of the canvas?
Hi thanks for sharing , for filler how many hours in between every coats ? Does it makes crack ?
Which gap filler in the US is the equivalent of the one you used? Having a hard time finding that
Honestly I would not know as I’m in Australia. I would look for a good quality fine surface filler that doesn’t crack
Thanks for sharing

pls make bigger pieces too 😃

This example shows the plaster wrapped around the edges which should stop it coming off
How long does the base take to dry before I start painting it
May I ask do you wait for it to dry before you apply different layer? Or you do it right away?
Yes, it’s important to wait to add the next layer
Good
Peg board might work
TFS!
👍👍👍🎉🎉🎉
Bonjour, j'adore mais j'aimerais que ce soit traduit en français, merci beaucoup
My gorgeous girl :) Try metalic mesh instead of paper tubes ;) Great tutorial tho 🥰
