Dr. Jane Walker MBChB MSc PhD is a Senior Clinical Researcher at the University of Oxford, UK, and a consultation-liaison psychiatrist.
Her research focuses on the psychiatric care of patients with severe medical illnesses and includes large epidemiological studies of the prevalence of depression, suicidal thoughts and other symptoms in patients with cancer.
Dr. Walker also co-led the three SMaRT Oncology trials, which evaluated a collaborative care treatment program for patients with cancer and depression.
Dr. Walker is expert in the use of problem-solving therapy and behavioural activation for patients with life-limiting illnesses. As well as working with individual patients, she trains and supervises other clinicians in these therapies. She is also an Executive Coach and specializes in coaching clinicians.
