Yall have to understand, stuff like that is basically guaranteed to happen. 10% chance for Focus band and 10% chance for freeze is a 1% chance combined. The same as 2 consecutive flinches from, say, Fire Fang. If you fight 1000 enemies, it's gonna happen 10 times on average. 4 flinches in a row from Iron Head (30%) is 0,8%, it's gonna happen 8 times in 1000 battles.
I've been watching since UA-cam forced your gen 5 competitive video down my throat, and I'll never look back. I'm not the biggest in the competitive pokémon scene, but I enjoy it. I LOVE videos with numbers and stats and stuff so both of those things together means I can't get enough of your videos! Keep up the amazing work!
It's crazy how much of a bottomless pit there is to RNG/ACE in these games. The FRLG stuff was starting to border on the famous "watch for rolling rocks in .5 A presses" Mario 64 TAS that went viral a few years back and that's what I'm here for. I've done a lot of that same EV grinding in Emerald version where you're racing against hitting lv50. I usually employ one or several exp shares if it starts to get really hairy.
Great video as always! I just love how these Pokémon games can be taken advantage of through arbitrary code execution and RNG abuse to obtain what we need. I just find it so fascinating. Also I really need to learn more about Parsec. I downloaded it to participate in a Crystal Clear tournament through Pokémon Stadium 2, used it for that and never touched the program again. It seems like it's pretty useful though. Keep up the great work, Blisy!
I have no idea if you'll see this comment, but the algorithm randomly fed me one of your Diamond & Pearl videos and I've been hooked since! You might have just inspired me to start RNG Manipulating in gens 3 & 4! I'll have to do more research into which games will require me to make a fully new save, though, since I'd love to transfer all my old mons if possible. Gens 3/4 don’t require you to reset your save, but you do need to find a shiny to know your sid. Everything else until g8 you need to reset or hack to get your sid

Is there any preference for high number vs low number SIDs when it comes to shinies, or does it not matter so long as I know both my SID and TID? Also just remembered Gen 4 is especially fun to shiny manip for since Battle Revolution exists haha!

Man, all my years of playing Emerald, bending and breaking the game to the farthest degree that I can, I had no idea that the EVs applied when you deposited a Pokemon. I've been doing Open Level on the frontier for years just so I could apply all the EV's for my own Zapdos and Eon Ticket Latios. Absolutely insane that there's still more to learn no matter how much you think you know. Great video.
These are most fascinating and interesting that the fans found ways to break the title beyond belief to find / obtain exactly what he / she wants. Here I thought the first two generation was broke through belief but I am glad generation three is there too as emerald / fire red are my favorite titles to play.

I miss being able to do this in each new version of the battle tower, dunno why they removed it as of Sword and Shield when they’re trying to focus more on the multiplayer aspects.
My guess would be that swsh focuses on the battle tower focusing on being a multiplayer tutorial, and Battle Spot multiplayer doesn't have Multi Battles
Hindsight is 20/20 and all but you could've cut the exp that Zapdos gained by EV training in the game you caught it so it doesn't get the trading bonus and saved the time from switch training by using the EXP Share (ideally on 5 other Pokemon). Might be useful for future grinds
I've always wondered what a good way to play GBA remotely would be. Out of all the emulator tech out there, link cable over the internet is really hard to find a solution for
this sounds like it took a while to learn how to do, with extra cables and everything to get it to work, overall sounding very expensive to do because emerald alone goes for almost 200 to 300$ :")

This is so cool man, very entertaining video, i love the idea of rng manip but don´t ever know where to start, it looks like an overwhelming amount of things to learn and setup, is there a natural progression i could follow to learn all these tools and concepts?
Yes I’d suggest starting with tid and starter manip in ruby and sapphire. It’s very easy and once you understand it conceptually you can do anything in gen 3. After that I’d move to stationary and wild Pokémon and then to the painting stuff
So weird I just spent a week learning all about the prng seed and using pokefinder to get all my shinys. Then this video pops up on my feed. This algorithm is getting more advanced 🤣

I think I found a new glitch allowing you to duplicate pokemon and items in gen 3 ruby and saphire. Not just emerald. Have you heard anything about this?
Awesome video! It's so cool that there is so much depth to this childhood game! Just a quick question though, for the emerald painting method, what method did you use to catch your wild lairon for seed checking? (if you used sweet scent, how did you determine what frame to hit?)
Groudon would get the boosted amount and Zapdos would get the base amount. So in the case of the ditto example. It would be 12 for Groudon and 6 for Zapdos (assuming they both have Pokerus)
Is there a reason you didn’t just use ACE to change the stats of the Pokémon to what you needed? (I’m assuming it’s possible, cuz you know it’s ace). Surely you’d be able to skip all the RNG manipulation and save a ton of time this way.
One thing I don't understand is how you stay at certain EV's. Since you get EV's from fighting mons (and vitamins) wouldn't your EV spread go all over the place once you use these Pokemon in a game again since you will KO a Pokemon with them?

Makes sense why it cheats though this game is on a gba so there's no way the ai is going to be as good as a real player or close unless they let them cheat there's just not enough processing power to do that. So they make them cheat to even things out.
when you hack you press 2 buttons and get a level 100, fully trained pokemon with 5 perfect ivs or more without playing the game. When I do this, it requires using skill and knowledge to receive a perfect IV Pokemon, and the time spent to train it, and it's all done without modifying the system or cartridge at all.
I don't leave it out, I explicitly say it in the video. None of these programs or timers modify the game in any way, they just simulate the rng and tell me what to do.
Sorry but I think it's really hypocritical to do all this but say hacking in a team is immoral. Try catching your teams without a pc or guides just with a ds/Gameboy and the game cart, no external timers to help with rng no programs showing you secret I'd numbers etc.
I'd honestly love to get into this sorta thing or even just give it a try a few times, but unfortunately I don't have a pc to be able to even set up stuff like this
Ya know, RNG manipulation is just a slower form of cheating. You're forcing something to come up by executing actions such as renaming boxes to force values to be considered, etc. This is why they make GameShark. Might as well save yourself some time, cheater.

If i remember correctly, you can give one of your mons an Exp. Share, and switch training will actually give 1/4 of the exp yield to the first mon.
And then I couldn’t use the macho bracer and have to KO twice the Pokémon

Why not just put cloned exp shares on all your party pokemon instead of switch training the zapdos? Does it mess with the evs somehow?

I find it very important to make sure the Pokémon is legal. It’s very time consuming to do the setup for that within ace and it’s not as fun for me

Ya know, RNG manipulation is just a slower form of cheating. You're forcing something to come up by executing actions such as renaming boxes to force values to be considered, etc. This is why they make GameShark. Might as well save yourself some time, cheater.

@@imablisy not really, because I'm still grinding and actually going out to obtain the EVs from pokemon, and I'm manually keeping tab of the EVs for each value. I'm sorry, are you just sad that you didn't save time and use a GameShark, cheater? Tsk tsk, projecting?
@@imablisy not to mention, each pokemon gives EVs naturally, so they'd come about anyway. It's a 100% chance that a Bellsprout (or another ATT EV contributor of any value) would give that value to my pokemon participating, and yet here you are using tool assisted computations for finding not only shiny pokemon, but also perfect IV pokemon of specific natures. Like, come on dude, this is cheating the hard way, and it's really stupld to see this happen and you compare it to simply looking up EV calculators?? LIKE LOL.
