Land Rover Series 3 Restoration - part 6 of Project Pickle the 1976 88” we're starting on the tub.

Hi and welcome back to the channel,
In this video we have started the bodywork on Pickle the 1976 88” Series 3.
Most of the original rear tub would have taken far too many hours to make a good tub, we sourced a second hand one that had some better panels but still requires some new ones too so we are covering what we can salvage from both rear tubs and getting them soda blasted in readiness for starting the tub build in the new year.
There’s a fair amount of work involved in getting this rear tub sorted so it will be completed over a few videos, we will show how to spot weld aluminium panels so that the tub retains the OE look, we may even put some extra solid rivets to join the panels as well as the spot welds just because solid rivets look cool.
Hopefully some of the techniques we use in these videos will be of some benefit to others to move their own projects forward.
