LIMITS IN 30 MINUTES, LATE ICE SNOW STORM! (Tips & Tactics for Panfish)

- Heavily debated on getting up and battling this snow storm, it was snowing steady and the yard and roads were all full of snow on the way to the lake. I felt like I was the only person out on the roads and was the only one on a 1,000+ acre lake. After all said and done, it was one of my most fun outings this ice season! Hammered the Crappies and Bluegills, got a few pretty nice ones, and had a very fun time. This video is set in mid March, with no signs of ice or snow melt yet for the Brainerd Lakes Area of Minnesota, it has been a really long winter and seems like there's still a ways to go.
Fish were really aggressive in the 7 to 8 foot water range, I used wax worms and red maggots for bait along with my new favorite trusty tungsten simcoe bug from SiFlies (hot pink and white). I used my 32" Tuned Up Customs Precision Noodle rod the most, I like the sensitivity on it for the finicky biters and the feel of the battle/fight for the bigger panfish. Lol 😂. Yeah some lakes here in MN, I will be shocked if the ice is off by open water walleye May 13th. What state you in or area? I was on a lake further northern MN this past Saturday and it was tracks on machines only for snow and was just so I didn’t need extension for the auger, was right to the max haha
@@JMonOutdoors I think ice might even near 3 ft. My pistol bit almost used the whole shaft. I'm fishing up on Aitkins County. Guys were still driving out on trucks with shovels.
@@gonkurapikafishing wow. That’s crazy. I fish in that area in the summer sometimes, haven’t been that way all winter cuz have heard the snow is pretty bad that way.

My phone, it’s not processed to HD or 4K yet… UA-cam is being slow in fully processing. Usually I don’t release the vids until it’s fully processed.
