Thanks for the info…the wife got me a custom for Xmas.she got tired of the stick shift Tacoma but I didn’t want to loose the great gas mileage so it was a no brainer to purchase the custom 2.7 ! I didn’t ask questions or test drive it.Sign and drive.
I love my silverado more and more every time I get behind the wheel of it.
I'm a chevy/gmc family as well man
If I could make just 1 suggestion.....swap out your high/low beams with LED bulbs.....I did that with my 2014 Silverado and it made a world of difference......I like the color you chose.....I'm not a big fan of chrome so the black on that is sweet!
i plan on swapping those out one of these days
@ JT Hickman Hey Pal you might as well get some big ol Mudflaps , somr dice to hang from the rear veiw mirror and One of them Big Ol Bull Nutt Sacks to hang from the trailer hitch ! and a Big OL fake Hood scoop and Spoiler to put on the Tailgate !
nah, I will leave that for the kids
Just got the same
Beautiful truck! I love chevys!
I got a 2.7T Silverado WT and love it... I hope they make some more options for tuners, the 2.7T has a ton of potential for power and mileage...
I have the same truck. The only thing I did different was instead of buying black rims, I had the factory rims power coat black gloss. Only $85 per rim
that's a great idea!
@@FishinwithGRAMPS only $85 per rim. I was trying to post a picture, but it is not letting me do it
Nice truck man I just picked up my 2021 rst 6.2 2 days ago love this thang
Just traded my Ford Ranger for 2021 Red Custom with multi flex tailgate. Missed having a full size truck. Love it.
I've had the 2020 silverado 2500hd for a month. wow what a truck. it's the W/T but that's all i need. definitely gonna do the fog lights.
I love your videos. I ended up buying the jump seat with the center console compartment because that's the only thing i did not like about my Custom Trailboss. $475 from the dealer and I installed it myself easily. The most difficult part was removing the seatbelt bracket on the lower part of the seat since I was only replacing the upper part. I can't wait to see what else you do.
Great video. 2 weeks ago got a 2020 Chevy RST Grey Metallic 5.3 V8 8 speed.
I am loving it. I see why everyone is saying the drive train quality was smoother and the best over Ram and Ford. Drives so smooth.
I love mine!
Nice mods man im looking on to getting the side steps and the tanneu cover for the bed as well but u should look up the led lights for the reverse lights and license plate lights with LASFIT pretty cheap mod and the truck looks super clean great video!
Just picked up a 2020 hot red rally edition couple weeks ago. Loving it. Got some black with red trim leather seat covers and red trimmed silicone cup holder pads that help add color to the admittedly plain interior. Bed cover 👍 getting the factory sub and amp put in next week before doing a speaker replacement in the doors.
Nice!
I got a 2020 trail boss custom 5.3 v8 with the 6 speed 6L80E recently and I love it. I swapped all bulbs to leds and put an MBRP dual cat back exhaust on. I would recommend a Silverado to anybody looking for a new full size truck
same. I do need to swap out the bulbs for LED one of these days
Like the truck vids! Keep us updated on the future mods!
Thanks! Will do!
This is the truck I’m looking at to get in October of 2020 for my very first Silverado
Lol same here.. but color, black
still loving mine a year later
Great video, I'm loving 19 so far too.
I would suggest replacing white reverse lights with LEDS. Pretty cheap mod, and it makes things easier to see.
yeah, I COMPLETELY FORGOT to mention I plan on swapping bulbs for LEDs... DOH!
Thanks for the video!
Love the video, watching here from Down Under!
Looking at buying a Chev Silverado as they’ve started selling them here now that we don’t make cars ourselves anymore. Only down side is that in Australia a Silverado costs about $127,000...
holy cow, that's crazy price! I love watching down under UA-camrs, Million Dollar Bogan, SkidPig and Two Kiwi Riders are my favs.
Good vids keep em coming
Thanks, will do!
Looking good bro 👍
What a fantastic video man! And that is one nice truck. I'm not really partial to any one brand in particular, having owned both Ford and GM, and Chrysler back in the late 70s. I had a 17 F150 3.5 EcoBoost Xlt l and I loved it, but my son needed a car in early 2019 so unfortunately I had to sell it. Since then I've been sharing my wife's sedan with her. Now I'm finally able to get myself another truck. It's going to be another F150 but with the 5.0 V8. I liked the EcoBoost but I haven't owned anything with a V8 since 2007, when I bought a used 2004 Cadillac Ceville with 46k Miles for 20,000 Canadian dollars (or about 15,000 USD). Plus trucks are getting mighty expensive these days so I'll probably keep this one to at least 130k Miles. Or about 6 years for me. My son lives in the city and I drive in and out of every evening to visit with him so they are definitely not easy miles either. Anyway I'm rambling on now so I'm going to sign off. Have a great evening
I love to drive them until they can't drive no more ;)
Saludos de Veracruz México chulada de camioneta 😍
👍
i like the flag on the door.
Thank you, Sir! Keep it up
Thank you, I will
Change your antenna for the .50 cal antenna. Will look clean
heh, that's a pretty good idea
I prefer the bottle opener antenna 👍
I just purchased the same truck good value and enough options . I thought on the custom the center console lid didn’t open. I thought I saw yours did. I would of also liked that 120v outlet. I’m trying to find a oem leather steering wheel to replace the rubber one.
heh, seems like the Customs are different all over.
Badass love it all great job🤘🏻👍🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
i like it🔥
Nice Truck the only Mod i see is putting leather cover on the steering wheel.
yeah, those hot summer days suck!
Nice video 👍., I'm looking to get back into my Chevy trucks; had a 2008 Tahoe. Like the new ones but don't like the high cost! The Silverado lineup is enticing! 👍
did you end up with a new one?
Thanks for the update and quick drive. Was great. I was determined to go from my 2.7 STX to a 5.3 but now I am not so sure. A Bowtie Custom 2.7 is very tempting. How was the MPG on your road trip?
I wished I would have thought to set Trip A and track. Lifetime mpg right now is 19.7
I have a 2020 custom with a 2.7. Recent road trip about 160 miles returned 21.8mpg and by the way my dad has an 07 silverado with 5.3 and I smoked him in the 1/8th mile race. Love my little 4cylinder that could!!
Just had first oil change, sitting right at 20mpg
@ JT Hickman Pal you will be sorry in the long term you did not Opt for a V8 ! And that 4 Banger sounds like a Honda Civic !
nah, won't care. Can't hear it anyway with the radio on.
@@FishinwithGRAMPS Google Scotty Kilmer the Master Mechanic and see what he says about that 2.7 4 Banger !
@@thunderbolt5354 lol, that drunk ass kills me. I don't listen to a word he says.
@@FishinwithGRAMPS yes he’s smart and a good mechanic but not quite all there. He almost has a cult following.
I am torn between this and the Toyota Tundra Trd pro any suggestions? I’m not familiar with column shifter. I have a big German shepherd to haul around sometimes so back seat space for him is a must lol .
Heh, gotta test drive them and chose what works best for you!
Are you going to put a leveling kit or lowering shackles??
nope, it does what I need
Nice truck. This one has the 4cylinder? How do you like that? I have the 2015 z71, it’s been a good
Pickup
hehe, yeah the 4 cylinder Turbo. I'm amazed at how responsive and peppy it is. I got caught in construction with merging lanes the other day and MASHED IT, was able to get in front of another truck he didn't realize I was there.
i'm looking into powder coating my wheels black
Hmm, that's a good idea!
Plasti Dip works pretty good as well
Nice. Does look like the seat belt was broken. Lol. Any chance the CHEVROLET comes in Crimson Red??? HAGD
F seatbelts, f masks, f helmets...
What’s the name off the app
MyChevrolet in the Play Store
Do you have to have onstar for it to work?
Think so
My app doesn’t have the remote fob.
that's weird, they just updated the app again
How does this truck do in the snow? & I dont mean a little bit of snow thats been plowed. Im talking about snow on back country roads that are the last to get plowed if they get plowed @ all. My hubby is used to all wheel drive v8 trucks so this one is a little different & he has some reservations about this one. My cousins a gm @ a dealership so my dad gave him a call & told him what we were interested in in our price range since I dont have his number. He came up with this one for us gently used only 100 miles on it for almost $38,000. but once again like I said hubs isn't sure about this one but we need a new truck that not only will get us through the snow safely but thats big enough that my kiddo can ride in it which this is. We are coming from a 2002 dodge Dakota sport & doesn't have enough room for our kiddo in it. Hoping this truck will work for us. Does anyone know how this truck holds up in the long term? Thank you.
Also does anyone know if this is a great price for a gently used 2020 chevy silverado custom? On their website it says its almost $38,000 & it was used with extremely low milage of 57 miles. The dealership put like almost another 50 miles on it with test drives but they never lowered the price & its still labeled on site as 57 miles for that price. We've never bought from a dealership before usually just by from people or my parents give us hand me down civics so not sure if you should or can negotiate with sales people. My cousin apparently whose been in this business for years has a lot of pull so maybe I can have hubs ask him if they can knock some $ off of the sale price. my cousin wasn't there today when hubs looked @ it with another salesman. Should we ask my cousin when we get it to lower the price a bit seeing as how they put more miles on it with test drives?
it's a 2020, no one could possibly know how it would do, long term. You either have faith in a company or not. I live in the hills of southern Indiana, I hunt, fish and buy Chevy trucks ;)
Does the fog lights come with the harness?
cheaper to buy them separate
It sucks you have to hook your truck up by USB to use Android auto
Do you use it much? I haven't really messed with it.
Do you know if the radio switch can easily be added to the steering wheel. I found the switch on ebay, but unknown if able to add it
Have to admit I've thought of even looking a something like that, have a link?
I got a custom did you get the auto start added on or did it come with it mines does not have it
Came with
I have a 2019 Trail Boss Custom and my remote start does not work either. From what I understand it's an additional cost to have it activated.
Not trying to be a wiseguy, but I just can't bring myself buy a Obamamobile. Nothing more American than a FORD. I enjoy your vids.
Ford didn't borrow from TARP, but they did borrow billions from TARF. IMO, there is no such thing as an American car anymore.
Is this a v8?
2.4L Turbo
Is it any good? Strong?
Just bought a 2020 LT 1500 and I have to disagree with you about the front seats. These are the most uncomfortable seats in any vehicle that I have owned......... I think a park bench is more comfortable !! Absolutely no padding & the built in “bolsters” are hard as a rock !
Is there any option about the power seat?
I couldn't tell you, it seems like everyone I have talked to with the 1500 Custom has different options
Stay away from Anything GM builds... Stick with Ford if you want a quality vehicle.
LOL, if quality was key I would have bought a Toyota
