Thanks for the sample footage. Would love to see more, and the behavior with more of the alternative lenses you offer.

@@AIDAImaging Thanks! Would also love to see how well your cameras work with the Blackmagic Design Atem Mini or Atem Mini Pro :-)

I've had 3x AIDA 100A now for a couple of years, connected to a ATEM Mini Pro ISO (Pro tip: use PureLink HDMI locking cables, they're a godsend! Also the ATEM provides all cams over USB also as laptop-inputs for Teams meetings, which is also nice). I'm using the Aida CS-2812V CS Mount 2.8mm-12mm Varifocal lens with all of them as it gives me the biggest versatility without moving the cameras too much.
The cameras are small and light and cheap can be attached to anything that has a 1/4 screw, from a clamp to a magic arm next to a small Joby light cube or to a ball mount attached to a 11" control monitor, they just fit everywhere which is a huge advantage (where a Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera would be way to big and bulky, I tried it). They also only need 0.5A 12V DC which is easily provided by one Cioks DC7 pedal power board for all of my 3 cameras.
They work fine … but can't handle high contrast very well (one half of a face in sunlight, other half in the shadow = total overexposure). Low light is no problem, built-in white balance settings are very accessible and reliable, you can mirror or vertically flip images and they've been on 24/7 pretty much all the time for the last 3 years without any problems. My lenses have no auto-focus, but that's rather an advantage when I want to shoot a synthesiser on my desk without the gear getting out of focus whenever I turn a knob on the synth.
I am considering to upgrade to a camera with a better dynamic range now, the sample footage of the UHD-100A already looks a lot better (but then again, that camera costs twice as much), maybe I'll even get a Blackmagic Micro Studio Camera (but that one uses 4/3 lenses, not CS mounts like the AIDA). Overall, I believe you can't beat the AIDA 100A's bang for the buck - I got 3 cams with awesome zoom lenses for a total of 1200 € - that's the price of ONE Blackmagic camera with a good 4/3 lens. They're not exactly "broadcast quality" but very decent and good enough for my full-HD synth vids.
