I was raised in the canyon. The road closures are what kept the community small and tight knit. The long drought gave a respite from that. Long term closures mean out of box solutions. I’ve seen people parking a car on either side of a slide. Just know that slide looks fragile and may let loose again. Crossing it will be dangerous for quite a while. It’s why they can’t start fixing it yet. Could be months, or longer, before the road gets rebuilt. Lucky the community has water. The water supply for the canyon runs through there.
I used Topanga for my daily work drive to Santa Monica. I averaged about 45 min. - 1hr. Now that I have to take the 405, I'm looking at 1hr 1/2 to 1hr. 45min. Now the drive rally brutal.

Wild to see no one there actively trying to clean it up 😂
they send workers just to stand around all day 😂

You’re telling me, I work near LAX and now it takes me at least 2 hours to get to work. It’s even worse going back home. Smh
Same, I'm commuting from Woodland Hills to Torrance. It sucks!@@Monstaray0210
