Thank you. I love that drive along cabrillo highway 1 and when you come over the hill and see the ocean, it's just breathtaking! Two other prettier neighborhoods to drive through, if you do that again.. Rockaway Beach neighborhood and Pedro point neighborhood. They called it Shelter Cove when my dad was a kid growing up there. But we called it Pedro Point. Also, love Nick's Rockaway, an icon in Pacifica. It was popular, even when residents of Pacific had bumper stickers that said: Where the hell is Pacifica? Everybody knows where Pacifica is now because the internet. Now it's a tourist town. Nick's has that Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, era vibe to it. Hasn't changed in decades, love it! They have the best crab sandwich! Get the more expensive one, that's the the winner! 😋🦀
I'm always amazed how Westview and Fairmont are always left out of Pacifica. Like the bastard children of Pacifica Even though Westview is older than many spots in Linda Mar. Grew up near Manor Dr. and Skyline Dr during the 60s and 70s. Could see the missiles being raised from our living room window along with great sunsets, and if the fog stayed down in Manor, it was like living on a cloud. During my paper route, I watched the morning sun coming over the east bay hill and glowing on the bay. Walking up Manor was a pain. But we had good strong legs. Cut class at Oceana and go sitting at the end of the pier during a heavy Nov storm only a couple of months after it opens. It was a great place to grow up as a kid. Pacifica is now twice the size, but still have a fondness for the area. Don't forget Westview (and Fairmont) Westview forever.
Nice drive. I have a hard time listening to the background music. It sounds like the volume rapidly increases and decreased up and down. Very annoying.
