Great videos Michael. I received a set of bongos for Christmas and your videos with you and Wigbert are very helpful in learning to play them. Thank you.
Thank you very much for your terrific videos. Im a big fan of them. Could you please make a video with excersices for bongo? I mean, like rudiments applied to bongos. Im following you from Costa Rica, youre a great musician and a talented teacher, Michael.
Master, you're de best!!! You can show us a video whit repiques o variations for hand cowbell in salsa? Excuse me my english, it's no too good, hahaha!
Hola Michael.
Ramon Montes Hello Ramon, in a few months I will make a new channel, where people can practise the rhythms. It will be a play along channel. I'll keep you posted.
Thank you, Boris. On Patreon I have some Play Along tracks, where you can practice the variations. In a slow tempo I created gaujira and in a fast tempo I created son montuno. www.patreon.com/MichaeldeMiranda
Great video. I noticed that the last variation is played differently in the introduction demo than when it is explained later with the charts. You seem to be ghosting or resting (can't tell - it's too fast) the third beat of the first measure in the beginning of the video instead of accenting it as you demonstrate later in the video.

it looks like the flam is played after the main hit is instead off of before.???? on the second example.
I love your videos! Where can I find this backing track so I can practice with some music?
Thank you! I don't know if you can find the backing track.... Perhaps there are loopstations with latin rhythms, but I don't know them....

Michael I want to thank you for your lessons; where can I get the music for practice Bongos and Timbales..
Ramon Montes Hello Ramon, in a few months I will make a new channel, where people can practise the rhythms. It will be a play along channel. I'll keep you posted.
Can you recommend some website for backing tracks to practice with?
I don't know any websites that have loops for latin rhythms. I'm sorry, I can't help you here...
so where do you find yours?
Awesome video. I got troubles getting into speed, though. It is hard to follow an actual track.

Great video as usual! You mention you liosten to "the bongo players you like" in order to figure out your own variations. Who are those bongo players?
Great video. I noticed that the last variation is played differently in the introduction demo than when it is explained later with the charts. You seem to be ghosting or resting (can't tell - it's too fast) the third beat of the first measure in the beginning of the video instead of accenting it as you demonstrate later in the video.
Studying the intro more closer, you are definitly resting the third beat instead of accenting it as you do later in the lesson.
