Honestly, I believe these bongo variation lessons-this one especially-are great for beginner and intermediate musicians for all instruments and styles of music.
Love the bongo variations video tutorial series. I've been practicing bongo variations lately and your videos have been very helpful. As always thank you Michael.
Thank You Michael for your prompt reply. It reminds me to an old saying we had in Puerto Rico " La madre de la invencion biene por nececidad" In other words you needed the rhythm ,didnt find it any where so you created it cuz you needed...:-) by necessity.. & lucky fot us ( your students) we have you helping us your brethrens, Thank you Michael and keep up the good work. Its Greatly appreciated.
Thanks for the great lesson. A way you could explain the "triplet" on the last exercise is to show its beat division: three over two poly rhythm - which is what it really is. I always explain to my students that a triplet is three beats per one beat - eighth note triplet, sixteenth note triplet and so on. What you are playing is actually three beats over two beats of a 4/4 measure.
Gracias
Hello Michael. I was wondering if you could share where to download the music rhythms you have at the beginning and end of each segment. Thank You! Im seniors citizen and Im learning a lot with your instructional videos. Thank You hermano!
Hello John, I make the music myself, but I don't know if you can download it... I don't have it on my site, so the only possible way to download it is here on UA-cam, I think. Good luck and thank you!
Hi Michael, I'm from Argentina and I have learned to much with your videos !!! Could you tell me which software you use to make the tablatures ??? Thanks a lot !!!
Michael de Miranda Thanks for getting back to me so fast!!!! It really helps us when we get info about clave direction:) Look forward to more bongo licks!
Your hand movements would be easier to instinctively follow if the video image was reversed. As I sit and watch of course your left and right is currently the opposite of mine as I view it. Think of it as if the viewer was looking straight down at their own hands and drums.
michael teacher.. i like very latin music.. bongo is very wonderful sound.. thank you very so much..😊
