I really enjoyed this video, Cesar. I especially liked your comments about exercising your mind and even the part about not finding a place to paint but rather making the place interesting. I struggle with location because I am not inspired where I live. Even though, there is beauty all around me. Great video!
Love how you shared the different processes here. Don't want to high-jack your vlog, but I'm going to give a little plug to the Plein Air Convention and Expo - 1000 artists painting together outdoors in April in Santa Fe!
Excellent, I loved all of your three responses. Of course the subject matter is close to my hrart. Have followed Dan Spricks work for years. I love your spirit Cesar. The 3 of you like the old impressionists out together. Yet painting like and Canaletto in Venice. Superb!!!!
Great paintings guys! This looks like Oleta Park. I ride my mountain bike down there and thought of painting there many times. I will have to put it into action now. Thanks so much for all your inspiration!
Great Video Cesar! I really like the use of the cane for those straight edges. I’m gonna have to remember that when I’m painting buildings Plein Air. Dennis
Thanks for sharing your Plein air painting day with us. So great to hear your comments and ideas about art. Its a real nice experience. Gracias por el dia y video. Bendiciones.
Really enjoyed the 3 different approaches, learned a lot. Although the biggest surprise was watching how you produced the straight lines. here all along I thought master artist wouldn't ever use a straight edge, I thought only amateurs like myself were allowed to do that ; )
Loved it, thank you for showing the three ways that different people interpret the same scene. Was very eye opening. Thank you for your dedication to this channel, I'm learning a lot!
Really enjoying your videos here Cesar! Your training shows through. I like what you said about just being honest and painting what you see, using your way you have ...your individuality will come through with having to force it. So true!
Now I'm inspired a lot! But I can't buy oil paints right now hopefully I'll get more commissions charcoal portraits so I can save money to buy. You really inspire me a lot!
César! Este video me resultó súper útil, creo que ahora que lo acabe de ver siento realmente ganas de aprender y comprender a fondo los conceptos fundamentales a través del dibujo.
I noticed the Bob Ross T- Shirt as well. Very fun video to watch. And by the way these guys may have been doing Plein Air longer that you Cesar but I liked you end result the best.
You just happen to be friends with Daniel Sprick? I love his work. Loved this video, thanks for sharing. Can I join you when I am in Miami for en plein air painting too?
These are tough scenes to paint when you have all that water in the foreground. For me anyway, not for you, you’re awesome. I’m always unhappy with the results, I realized the problem lies within the composition. Nothing to carry the painting with the giant shape of water. You did an awesome job. I love the look of having your burnt umber under painting peeking through.
Cesar if you ever want to go find some good Plein Air Painting spots. Look no further than hitting up Australia for a holiday. I've done most painting of mine from street sketches with pastel, and more explicitly the mountains and the cities. The yellow plains, the dusty yet green Bush, and the red soil of The Outback. While the small towns are humble, the major cities are bustling metropolises sitting on the shore where streets upon streets of wooden houses line the treacherous hillsides almost absentmindedly, if not gracefully. Come check this place out if you wanna get some of the best sunsets in the world. Cheers..
What I could notice is all 3 have different color palette... in video it is difficult to understand which one is close. Or we forget that and see it as an individual expression. What is your opinion on this? All can reply.
Hey, Cesar, really enjoyed the video. I have a question, doesn't the underpainting layer of burnt umber mix with the blue that you're putting on top of it? Or you leave it a bit to dry? Thanks again.
I like the video, as always but that is some dodgey teenager music. The music you picked in previous videos was much better. Sorry for the criticism but someone had to tell you.
So funny...I was watching this video and my son, who's 14 asked what are you watching and I told to him "come look at some dudes painting down in Florida, it's really cool". He came and sat and watched the whole thing. I thought the music, even with its corny little drum machine rolls, was perfect for this demonstration video.
I like that Boss Ross shirt too! Happy clouds
I absolutely love your videos. I wish Dunedin was closer to Miami.
All three paintings look fantastic!
They all look amazing! But I like the colour, tone, and mood of yours especially, has a classical taste to it!
I really enjoyed this video, Cesar. I especially liked your comments about exercising your mind and even the part about not finding a place to paint but rather making the place interesting. I struggle with location because I am not inspired where I live. Even though, there is beauty all around me. Great video!
Boy! I loved that - especially your painting and method - might try that!
I love the way Cesar softens and unfinished the edges.
Love how you shared the different processes here. Don't want to high-jack your vlog, but I'm going to give a little plug to the Plein Air Convention and Expo - 1000 artists painting together outdoors in April in Santa Fe!
I love how you painted entire time with sunglasses on. Awesome!
Thanks for this vlog. I’m new to plain air and this had great tips. Much appreciated.
To me, you and Sprick are legendary. Never had seen John's work but man, he is awesome too!!
Excellent, I loved all of your three responses. Of course the subject matter is close to my hrart. Have followed Dan Spricks work for years. I love your spirit Cesar. The 3 of you like the old impressionists out together. Yet painting like and Canaletto in Venice. Superb!!!!
Ah! At last! Plein air painting. Thank u Cesar!
Like the industrial, metallic finish to your painting. Interesting that all three painters interpreted the scene in different ways.
Great paintings guys! This looks like Oleta Park. I ride my mountain bike down there and thought of painting there many times. I will have to put it into action now. Thanks so much for all your inspiration!
these are all good in their own way
when I'm not in a mode to do a piece of art, I just watch one of your inspiring videos. now I'm halfway done watching... got an finish tho😊
Further proof that subjects don't have to be "Epic" to be fascinating. I would love to see more videos like this. They are so inspiring.

Woow amazing to see the process of 3 different approaches to paint the same scene. Cesar I like your painting the most 💗

Where can I find more videos of your friend. I enjoyed both renditions of today’s seascape.
Esse vídeo ficou top
I have that same shirt lol 👍🏻
Muy bueno! Geniales los tres!
In the introduction, I was kind of worried. You gotta keep your eyes on the road!!! xD
Complimenti a tutti e tre , in particolare al Maestro Cesar Santos,*****
how do you manage to find the right values and color wearing sunglasses?
I had the chance to meet Sprick at the Portrait Society of America conference last year, when are you going to attend Cesar? I'm dying to meet ya..
Plein air is fun 👍

So do you think about different color scheme? You know like analogous with a complement or a dyadic combo?
Good video. I found it very informative.
Cesar, loved the video, but I'm a bit surprised you guys wore sunglasses. How can you see the true colors through shaded glass?
Faz mais uns do mesmo plein air painting
What I could notice is all 3 have different color palette... in video it is difficult to understand which one is close. Or we forget that and see it as an individual expression. What is your opinion on this? All can reply.
Hey Cesar, do you have any recommendations for easels to use when plein air painting?
I promise to be honest and direct.
The only thing, I didn't understand is why your painting, wich looks nice is so grey/brown? Wouldn't it be better to make it more blue/green?
Maybe because he was wearing those shades?
I am waiting for your new video
Hi cesar
Did the underpainting dry when you started to put colors?
how do you clean your Brushes :)
how you buy your art . plzzz make a video of this
15:43 Great Advice
I noticed Bob Ross on your t-shirt, what was written there?
Lucy art No mistakes, just happy accidents! Lol
Hey, Cesar, really enjoyed the video. I have a question, doesn't the underpainting layer of burnt umber mix with the blue that you're putting on top of it? Or you leave it a bit to dry? Thanks again.
gylovideo was wet
Hey cesar your profile picture should be a portrait of you.
Cesar how people get the title of master painting.
Why are you wearing sun glasses when you are painting?
Yes... how can he choose the right colors then?!
It looked a little plein to me
Michael Alphin Art plein air? Lol
*sneaks daniels color off his palette*
Hat trick
I like the video, as always but that is some dodgey teenager music. The music you picked in previous videos was much better. Sorry for the criticism but someone had to tell you.
Stop complaining old man, this is 2018 after all haha.
Sounded good to me...and I love old school

Only 1 of the 3 paintings looked like it was done plein air.think you need a bit more practice guys.
This music is terrible and distracting. But the painting is nice
Laik! Musik very bad.
me gusto mas el tuyo tiene mas profudidad
Explain tamil language
I really hate the music
நீங்க குறைவாக பேசி ஓவியம் வரைங்க
So unfortunate, that you use this terrible music for your videos. makes them hard to watch.
What do you do when the sky is full of chemtrails .
