BETHESDA don't seem to realise that the fanbase that are still playing their games and modding them years later are NOT the fanbase that would EVER pay for mods. How out of touch can you be.
they dont care, i think. they see the playerbase and the modding community and just MUST attempt to milk them and get money out of that somehow. im sure if we ever see another elder scrolls, they will try to monetise mods from the get go.
Ambitious, talented mod makers deserve to have an opportunity for compensation. Once you reach a certain level of skill and have a great vision for what you want to do, you realize how much time it would take, and that it's just not worth doing it for free and losing months and years of your life, going full insomniac shut in, for nothing. All a lot of you guys want is Randy Savage dragons, but some people want to do some really amazing stuff that could be worth paying for if only for a guarantee of interoperable polish and stability. Bethesda's only mistake was starting out with simple texture and object mods for single items, which primarily serves the "baby's first mod" audience who wants simple cosmetic BS that actually isn't worth paying for.
And pretty much the only mod people who have any sense would pay for at massive expansions. As much as Skywind doesn't take donations (as their team is just too big and the variance of what people do is to wide to split it fairly) That's something I'd pay for.
Speak for yourself. I would love to pay for mods if that meant better mods. I have never understood this nonsense that modders are expected to work for free. Some of these people are exceptionally talented and I would love to see what they can do if they could actually make a living off of their art. The problem here is how poorly CC is implemented, but the sooner we get over this that paid mods in general are a bad idea the better. Paid mods should, and absolutely can, equate to better mods. The systems that are in place now are the exact opposite, and all gamers suffer for it.
So, the Fallout community rebels against Bethesda, a tech company said something controversial, and Pewdiepie apologized. If that's the case then why the fuck is every single game forum talking about Mario's Nipples?!
When Betsheda tries to screw modders over but they realise modders are 50% of their games' content these days and have too much power to be screwed over lol
@MasterJazz open your eyes. If Creation Club is successful they'll keep pushing it. Eventually their games will launch with Creation Club and mods will only be able to go through Creation Club. This is a company, companies do stupid shit at the expense of their consumers for money.
If you are willing to punish them for something that they haven't done is wrong. That would be like me saying A Lewd Lady & krytem UK should go to jail because they 'might' rape and murder someone if the could get away with it. Don't like that I bet. I am the type who only passes judgement on what I have seen and not what ifs or could bes.
I wonder what "support" you're talking about, because quite a few modders were in direct opposition to Creation Club and openly stated that modding should be something you do for the love of the hobby, not money, and Bethesda was simply trying to take advantage of the community. Modders weren't united in the acceptance of Creation Club. They never were. Not to mention people don't really attack modders (say for that select few that always exists in every group). They always get support for their creations and decisions but, and I must stress this, people aren't really going to buy a product that is a modification of a game they already purchased. A modification that, at any moment, can be shut down, stop working after an update, or break their game and a good section of modders were ok with this decision to do their thing for free. So if I may be so bold, please explain to me what "support" modders are lacking that makes them want to run to the hills and leave the poor vanilla players in the dust?
Who are you talking about? Because the comment, if you haven't noticed, is going in a chain. Dinka made the first comment, Bear made his comment to Dinka, I made my comment to Bear and Mozues (I assume) made his comment to me. So if we're being legitimate here, every comment really only has 1 response except on the possibility that Mozues is agreeing with one of the two comments above my own. So I really don't understand what you're saying because if anything I'm the only one who really cares about anything in this thread simply on the basis of discussion, and my comment there is like my comment here, tantamount to "Who are you talking about?" So... /shrug
If Bethesda continues to screw modders over, then they will dig themselves a grave. The grave may not be filled in a year, five years, or even ten, but they will certainly welcome their doom. WIth how accessible PC gaming is becoming, the modding scene will only explode exponentially. They will regret what they are doing in the future, I think. A few bucks is nice, but goodwill goes a long way.
it's not like they banned modding, or did any direct attack, so i don't see what's the big deal. Sure, the creation club exists, but nobody is forcing you to use it, it's like it's not even there, and those ps4 users out there get a small taste of modding.
Honestly I think this is the first step towards their attempt to gate all mods behind $$. I doubt it will work and people would easily get around it, but if enough people pay for this then its likely they'll give it a try for their next FO or ES.
I don't think that those who disliked your Pewdiepie video where necessarily all fanboys, the one thing I've noticed about the majority of the gaming community is that they promote free-speech while taking a hard stance towards censorship. (Probably because external forces have been trying to censor and control games since the 80s) Its my opinion that you guys showed a lack of understanding towards your audience, your Pewdiepie video was too focused on the financial ramifications of Felix's use of free speech, which might make sense from a business stand point but to a lot of the gaming community it comes secondary to the ethics involved. Its a bit like how you guys complain that a company focuses on money rather than stand for something, some of your audience saw you mirror that behavior albeit in a smaller scale.
To be fair I think people should be aware that there are some communities that have always been happy to have paid mods because it generally means a quality product. Chiefly the flight sim community comes to mind. There are hardcore gamers who pay $20 or more for a few perfectly-detailed planes. Where Bethesda went wrong is trying to monetize something that was always free, and thus we've always had high-quality mods being offered for free. Some of the villification, especially for guys like Pete Hines, who is just doing his job and has always been poorly treated by elements of the Bethesda fan community, has been unwarranted. Perhaps if they were charging a few dollars for long questlines that were hours of content, people may be more open to it, but asking for money for a "Dwarven Mudcrab" is just another horse armour.
I think those are called expansion dlc. And modders tend to like those because it gives them basic foundations to build new and better things. Take the three Skyrim expansion dlc and look at the mod Legacy of the Dragonborn that came from it and others modders hard work. Hard to do that with those "mini dlc". No modding value at all. I'm fine with Evo Online or Flight sim doing this stuff. Their games tend to be built around doing this buying stuff. Bethesda games aren't. And I always feel like I'm playing a scummy version of free to play, pay to win games when I get "BUY THIS NOW" in my triple A games. Uh yeah, already bought, buying redundant.
Not a pewdiepie fan boy but you guys were flat out wrong when you blamed pewdiepie for the 'adpocolypse'. Oversensitive PC culture and cooperations trying to make money are to blame for that imo. Also i saw many level headed comments with criticism of that video, sure you probably got a lot of stupid comments with nothing to say other than insult you, but to brush it all off as "oh it's just the fanboys" seems like you're turning a blind eye to valid criticism.
They did point out in a comment that they were talking about people using slurs with the intent to insult based on ethnicity. But yes, Adpocalypse did not come about because of Pewdiepie's jokes. It was almost an inevitability with ads showing up before videos of people dying, and quite frankly, it was the WSJ's faux outrage that brought attention to it.
I will put this out there, and I don't remember if they touched on this. Pewdiepie is the easiest recognizable face for any of these companies who want there ads on stuff. So when the poster kid for UA-cam is saying the n word and other terrible shit. Guess who starts shying away from UA-cam. The people actually paying for youtube
Respect you guys so much. Keep ignoring the haters. Bunch of American, pre-adolescent, locked up in a room no-lifers. Two brits with grey matter between their ears scares their sheltered view of the world. Keep up the good work.
I personally can't stand the positivity at every given moment on other channels. These guys have my sub becouse they are not afraid to say what they think. Stop bitching about them making fun of you. You can easily stop watching or get over it. Do you normally get angry when someone makes fun of you? Poor souls
People are just to self important these days, this world is turning more and more into south park by the day, crazy fucking reactions to everything. No matter if I agree with them or not, it's just refreshing to have a channel like this that isn't sucking up to everyone, and insist on having their own opinions. Mike especially is gold when he gets a bit angry, his destiny isn't an mmo reaction was gold!
Mike Lopez - While I agree that this channel should say whatever the fuck they want, you are making yourself sound like a Trump supporter. Snowflake? Fuck me you're as thick as shit if you voted for Trump.
Hes doing damage control by admitting hes in the wrong, maybe you guys can learn a thing or two from him. And nobody said that what he did is right, everyone just thinks it's FUCKING WHATEVER.
Just get over yourself. Regardless of whether or not he deep I said something wrong the way you guys handled it with just childish. You came off as if you were more concerned about your own income on UA-cam then over the actual act itself. You also did not appropriately approach the illegal use of dmca copyright claims firewatch developer was threatening to use. How would you feel if somebody didn't like something you said and copyright claimed all of your videos that mentioned them getting your account put in jeopardy? Don't be a hypocrite because I know you would be upset and you'd call for that person to be held accountable for their illegal dmca claims.
As someone who lives in southwest Florida, I find the phone advertisement completely disgusting. Their literally was an elderly home that was forgotten about, and *20* died. I wasn’t the hardest hit by the hurricane, but it still is awful
I concur, and in the same boat here. When you've got the barrel end facing you, it will be difficult to maintain integrity. Basically, "business" can control youtube media. Need to rally people and build another platform that won't rely on sponsorship. Maybe subscription based like whatsapp.
I'm not bothered what he said, but since he was partially responsible for adpocolypse, you would think he would be more cautious with the words he would say
Andii thank you dude same here, the world has been ruined by social media in all honesty. None of this existed when facebook and Twitter wasn't around. Now everyone is so engulfed in negativity it is so pathetic how quickly everyone is offended.
Blizzard was ignoring toxicity problem for a long time but rather to address it they focused on unwanted hero balancing. If a hero was on the bottom of popularity chart it got buffed. Now every hero is artificially OP so they have to even buff Mercy... This is a never ending process and a lot of community frustration and bad behavior stems from that.
I think Blizzard needs to stop complaining and take some of the ~ 1.6 billion dollars in revenue from Overwatch (~1.152 billion in Console Sales + ~432 million in PC sales) and hire some people to deal with the "BAN HAMMER" for them.
As a non-fanboy of PewDiePie, I'm glad he released a video apologizing for what he had said. Good to be an adult, and own up to your mistakes. On a similar note; gamers...come on, there are so many more creative ways to insult someone. All gamers who use the n-word are meaning to use it as an offensive term. Go ahead and be upset at that blanket statement, but please follow it up with how you don't "mean it in that way" when you use it while gaming.
Here's my positive take on all this. The Creation Club has setup a glorious advert for real modders and what they do. You could not get a better advert for mods than a mod that blocks the Creation Club. i can still remember when I learned you could add cheat codes to games to make them easier, give you more cash or whatever. That was amazing. Especially as back then games were rare things you didn't get often and they were super hard. So you'd often find yourself going back to this same game over and over and over. Cheats were like a gift from the gods. And cheats were the first step towards mods. As time rolled by tiny mods grew into things so large that they looked like complete games on their own. And now mods are so mature you have complete market systems built online to cater to them and tools that help you organise them. If you aren't modding on PC, you're missing the best thing about gaming on a PC and this mod that blocks mods is so far the best advert I've ever seen for that.
Pretty Good Gaming you put out all gaming news and do it well. Not upset with you reporting On any subject. Pewdiepie is always apologizing for something he has said or done. That's suppose to make it all better for his attitude. He just doesn't care what he says or does. People that believe his lies of sincerity need to wake up and see him for what he is. Keep up the good work guys. Love ya. Cheers
Blizzard blaming lack of updates on banning is just pure bullshit. They even clarified that the vast majority was from fan reports. So it only cost them a few employees to go over those reports.
it's just worth pointing out saying "the N word" instead of saying the N word is just the same, it's the thoughts behind the words that cause people to get angry at it Disclaimer: this isn't meant to defend pewdiepie i don't really give 2 shit's about the thing, i just think that abbreviating or censoring a word is just as bullshit as saying it in full.
... You guys really need to understand context. Racism is about the act of hate. If you're having a discussion and the context is about pewdiepie using the "N word". It doesn't make me racist using it in this context. In no way am I displaying hate against anyone by discussing the topic unless I was speaking in favour of it. With your logic that means any history documentary or history book discussing the word or it's origins would be considered racist material. Using "the N word" in the right context isn't wrong. Saying something like "That stupid fucking N word" is however wrong because that context implies it's use to be negative. Context my friends, it matters.
'Horrific exploitation' is quite strong. Turning hurricane victims into corpse puppets and making them dance outside your store to celebrate great deals would be 'horrific exploitation'. This was a misjudged Tweet, of no real importance to anyone. I think you need to fiddle with the contrast dial on your reactions module. That said, it's a good show. Thanks.
Thank you for how you talked about PewDiePie. I feel relieved, my need for humanity is meet. I have been doing a purge of all the channels that supported PewDiePie's white supremacist comments; and I felt afraid when you began speaking about PewDiePie. My trust in my gamer news was shattered earlier today when I witnessed the show "Glitch Please" on "The Know", a four person hour long rundown of gamer news for the past week, discus PewDiePie's words and actions. When they talked, instead of doing what you did: saying what he did was was wrong, the people hosting "Glitch Please" unknowingly, and dangerously used white supremacist arguments to let PewDiePie off the hook: to let his comments and actions slide. I hurt watching people I trusted defend white supremacy. I was so sad I wanted to cry. I need to trust in civilized people. In people with a clear enough moral compass to know that defending white supremacy *is* white supremacy. And white supremacy is bad. The people at "The Know" failed my trust. They choose to not be civilized. So again, thank you for handling the PewDiePie story correctly. I wrote my feelings in "Glitch Please's" comment section informing them that I was unsubscribing from "The Know", and asking everyone reading my post to unsubscribe as well. Again thank you. I feel a great sense of relief. By your actions you have restored a bit of my faith in humanity.
I like how everyone treats this like an act of rebellion when he openly says in the mod description that he just found the giant message box in the corner annoying...we've been modding out menus and UI's since forever.
In terms of overwatch I think you guys need to realize the backstory of the toxicity and reporting issue. In overwatch for over a year the report system was a complete joke and no one ever got punished for anything they did. People would throw games, say the most cruel things, and do all sorts of bad behavior on the game, yet the report system and blizzard in general would not do anything. It has taken them over a year to finally start banning people in overwatch. You guys at pretty good gaming need to realize that blizzard is a huge fault for even letting this kind of behavior last for that long. A decent report system should hae been one of the firs things implemented into the game, yet its been on of the last things implemented, especially on console. Recently Jeff Kaplan himself posted on a thread on the overwatch forums that someone who had been reported roughly around 2200 times, and recieved many temporary bans. YET for some stupid reason this person has never gottena permanent ban, even though the system was reportedly supposed to perm ban people after 100 reports. Yet someone went 2200 reports without getting any serious punishments. So I think understanding the background of the situation not just by what Jeff and Blizzard say, but the community you will really understand why this shit is a huge controversy in overwatch.
I dont think you should ever get permanently banned, while this certain individual may have had a massive amount of people reporting him for toxicity, I think this is still a personal issue between players. I would rather Blizzard not interfere with peoples interactions while playing the game. Besides, 100 reports is actually quite low considering my experience playing Dota along my friends, who at times often even report one another just for fun, and to send each other to Low-Prio.
I don't care about what Pewdiepie did because I live in Australia, and swearing and racist words in other parts of the world are just part of normal conversation here.
I understand why people are upset over the creation club coming out well into games life span, but if you think modders wont jump into it for a chance to be paid when the next game comes out your crazy. The top modders will put their stuff up there.
Most of the people trained in marketing are also taught that there is no such thing as bad publicity. Prior to this video, I had never even heard of a British gaming retailer called Game, but now I am aware that they exist. So, their strategy to raise their profile actually worked and, no matter how outraged people pretend to be over this I'm sure it will still increase their sales. While I was aware that there was a UA-camr called PewDiePie, I had never watched any of his videos or even knew that he livestreamed video games. So, again, the bad publicity has actually raised the profile of PewDiePie and made him more well known than he might have been before.
If you have MCM (Mod Configuration Menu), you can also turn off the "Creation Club" button on the main menu. I've been using it since learning how to use the MCM and I am SO happy. Creation Club is NOT consumer friendly. $0.99 per mod up to $2.50 is good. Any more and you're anti-consumer. $30 for credits and NO DLC content like Dead Money, Honest Hearts, Gunrunner's Arsenal, Old World Blues, and Lonesome Road? No thanks. If Obsidian was making REAL DLC (Fallout 4's SUCKED), then I may consider buying. But as long as the prices are so expensive without enough content, have fun! I'm not buying. XD
Fans and modders have been fixing Bethetic games for years and now they are asking for money from their own fans? fix your game first then we can talk, how many time did you have to let the fans fix your game bethesda...
I just hope that Bruce guy doesn't go up and start a kickstarter and make some game. I'm rather sick of of those people who were once on a team of a good game suddenly thinking they can use their name to raise funds and make another on their own.
One of the most annoying things about how they have implemented the Creation Club (if you mod) is it breaks your game (F4SE) and some mods become incompatible with the new game version every time they ad new items into the CC, tis the only thing i don't like about it.
You nerds, The people defending Felix, including myself were not defending the the word he used as ok, we were simply pointing out that if you watched the video it was an obvious accident. We were also pointing out that weather he said it by accident or as a joke it still doesn't matter. Doesn't pretend we're racist, and you nerds are all high and mighty. "See. Pewds said, what he said was wrong, and we said it was wrong too, so ha". News flash everyone knows the word n***** isn't a nice word, stop acting like you care.
I just hope TloU 2 wont suck because he left. The first one is probably my favorite game of its kind even after all these years. Would be a same if the 2nd turns out to be bad. Im not hyped or anything, i dont expect it to reach the same lvl as the first one did but still i want it to be as good as it can be.
"You download the thing to hide the thing that makes you pay for the things" -Mike Williams such over simplicity has not been heard since Brad Pitt in True Romance.
Bethesda is like, "Hey guys, keep making mods and if you want.... we will pay you for them and then sell them like DLC!" And modders are like, "HOW DARE YOU CREATE A PLATFORM THAT WOULD ALLOW ME TO MAKE MONEY OFF OF THE MODS THAT I HAVE SPENT COUNTLESS HOURS CREATING.....YOU BASTARDS!!! OH, DID WE MENTION WE ARE RETARDED?" People cry about everything. Its like this.... Bethesda has always been one of the most Mod friendly developers. They have also put out some of the best DLC in the industry. Look at Far Harber and Dawnguard. Let's not forget that if you go to the store and buy Skyrim or Fall Out 4, you can take the game home and spend HUNDREDS of hours without spending another penny. And they do not lock shit behind a paywall. Skyrim has been out for like 50000 years and Fall Out 4 has been out for a few years now. Bethesda has new projects they are working and that is where they are going to focus their time and energy. They are not going to continue to great new content for these games. So their solution... Instead of letting the games die, they are offering to PAY the players to continue creating new content. This is the direction gaming is going. DLC and microtransactions arenot going away any time soon so you cannt flip out when 1 developers finally adds them a few years after everybody else started to. Instead of getting pissed that they are doing it, consider how they are doing it and how what they are doing compares to the other games... If you want to see the wrong way to do it, look at For Honor and other games that had over priced microtransactions that can be used to give players and advantge over other players, and how they had the DLC snd shit available to buy in the game the day that it was released. The stupidest thing..... people are getting upset about the creation club despite the fact that its optional and Besthesda still allows free mods......
I can't get the mod to work. What I am waiting for is a proper response from Bethesda to stop downloading stuff I don't want and didn't ask for (and will never pay them for). The only reason I eventually gave in and paid for the official DLC was that a lot of modders require them for newer mods.
I find interesting when people say "I quit this company in it's strongest time, I wouldn't ask for a better team, they are all great people, we produced great profitable games, so I quit... I can't deal all these money and all this work ". And there are other humans who grow tired of not having sucess and enough money... we are fucking confusing man, what do we need to be happy?
i am indifferent towards the creation club program, i don't use it, but i won't lose my mind over such a simple matter. Bethesda is well aware on the support it had from the modding community over the years, so quit panicking, the ps4 users get to use a bit of extra content, and us PC users are pretty much unaffected.
Overwatch: No, guys, come on. They spent a WHOLE month creating a reporting system on Consoles, which should have been there on release. And PC reporting system wasn't there on release either. So, instead of improving the penalty/report system on PC and Console since release they JUST established it a year down the road. That's not fucking ok. I see no compassion in that. Don't fucking release Alpha games for 60$ and give them GOTY awards. Because as of this moment, Ow still gets MAJOR changes which are meant for games that are still in BETA. Also, really quick. May I remind everyone that this "hard work/impossible" report system on consoles was implemented withing A DAY after someone found a way to exploit the loot boxes? They can do everything fast if they want. They just don't. And thank you guys for the hard work, always a joy to see your videos in the sub list.
>Blizzard can't get updates out for Overwatch out as fast as they want because they're spending too much time dealing out punishments I seriously doubt that, given the one dude with 2.2k reports on his account (There's a Reddit post linking to it on the Overwatch subreddit from 19 days ago, named "Jeff Roasts Ban Complainer"). To list what Jeff Kaplan gave as the punishments that dude got: • 9216 total hours silenced over 7 silences • 3 gameplay bans • 1 manually-enforced account suspension Someone did the math on the silence time. It's literally over a full year worth of silence time. And the math on the reports? Around 4.8 reports every day for a year. So no, there's no way I'm going to believe that Blizzard are spending so much time on bans that it affects update frequency.
That mario situation is funny, it would be funnier and sweeter if Princess peach or any other princess decided to just wear an revealing out fit that is see throw and starts skipping along the beach. Shocking too.
What I get from the mario nipple story is that people actually thought that mario didn't have nipples and now they're surprised because he does. I guarantee that if they didn't give him nipples there would be they exact same reaction by people but they would be like "where are his nipples".
I have a lot of respect for the team behind overwatch taking bad behavior seriously. It's been a long standing joke that current report systems do nothing.
Maybe it's not behind the scenes problems at Naughty Dog, but the game industry as a whole. Crunch in game development can be unforgiving and it sucks that talent from all studios has to go through that sort of stress on a regular basis.
Ok so I'm planning to buy fallout 4, and I'm a bit confused. So about this mods, will I have to pay for them or do I still have an option to get them for free? I'm on xbox btw(please be nice).
Its good to see Pewdiepie setting the record straight. Im indifferent about it but happy he hasnt tried to make an excuse about it. The media can shut up now.
Until someone mods the Creation Club OUT of Skyrim/Fallout, including the malware like behaviour of pre-loading files you won't use, damage is done for me.
I get that everyone has problems with paid mods, but hasn't it mostly been introduced for the PS4? To get around Sony's objection to mods and monetise that specific audience?
Go go modders! As for PewDiePie, I don't hate him, but, I'm not a fan either. You're safe. And I can see why Mr. Straley got burned out. Though its not limited to Nautydog and its nothing new. Tim Cain did a talk at GDC where he said that during the last six months of development for Fallout 1 he and the dev team worked 7 days a week for 12-14 hours a day. He didn't see a movie, a TV show, or even a grocery store for that 6 months. So this is pretty normal. (if not healthy) As for Mario's nipples....Holy anatomically incorrect Batman! Seriously, back in the day the Comics Code Authority didn't let male characters have nips. So I find this current controversy really really bizarre. I thought we got over that. Apparently not.
My biggest fear for the Creation Club is that their newer games will follow the Fallout 4 formula where they take player created mods and incorporate it them into their official game . Not that it is a bad thing, but in FO4 case the only thing Bethesda brought to the table was the story and a change of scenery. In other words they did not have to spend a lot of time on creating cool features to the game. Their official dlc for the game was the weakest in the series that I have played when you compare them to FO3 and New Vegas.. The most popular aspect of the game was the Settlement creation which was a player made mod from a previous game in the series. To further the point all of the official dlc that Bethesda released for the game was not to different from the mods that were already in place by the modders and were being played by the gaming community long before Bethesda released their official dlc. I just don't think I can trust a game developer to release a engaging quality product on their own when we know that the modding community is really more creative with their product than they are.
8:29 They are making level artists and devs do community work by banning people instead of their jobs? I doubt this. I HIGHLY doubt this. Seems like a lie to me.
this is legitimately my favorite channel on UA-cam right now. I just love the rawness and brutal honesty of you guys. Keep telling it as it is and never-mind the fanboys, them being buthurt is a toxic by-product of not pandering to the idiot masses.
I'm not a Pewdiepie Fan and words do slip out which I know first hand. But to DMCA his lets play of Firewatch is totally not something that we should be supporting. Can you imagine a world where developers can remove gaming content because they don't like you and DMCA strike your channel (from which you get 3 strikes before your UA-cam account is closed) because of something you did 2 years later in a different game? Absolutely disgusting Sean Vanaman should be shamed, not for Pewdiepies sake but for the rest of us that enjoy watching gaming content on UA-cam. Boo censorship
0:52 That is rather misleading. Its the 3rd most downloaded THIS MONTH. If you look at "all time" or any time span greater that one month, the number of downloads is rather insignificant. I think this mod is just getting attention because it trendy to hate on Bethesda and the creation club at the moment.
+Pretty Good Gaming for some context that "hire me nentendo meme actually started because some random dude was butt hurt about how one of the females was dressed in xenoblade 2
Stop asking companies to make people behave better and just accept that you can't control everyone and everything, and that the world isn't going to be what you want or like.
Nintendo are smart IDC what you say they know that if a series is relevant extends the life span for the amount of time the series is relevant you ain't even got to put out content reliant to the series just keep in sight in mind
I don't dislike Pewdiepie, I actually like him and 'most' of his content. I was disappointed when another channel that I like, what being you guys, were calling him out harshly. However, I did understand. What he did was stupid. But people like Pyro described it better. I did leave a like on the video, and will still be watching your content. Only making this comment because it was brought back up, but still, I don't agree with what he said. Though he is not a racist as some news outlets and people been saying. (Not saying you guys think he is.)
What I think Bethesda is trying to do is what a lot of triple A companies are doing with microtransactions. First you announce it and implement it in something that didn't have it for a few years and then have the community angry at that one product and then release a product with that system to make people numb to the idea of it being there.
While other companies sell products to donate the profit to hurricane victims this one tells you to buy it at full price and doesn't contribute the disaster in the gulf coast.
It's almost poetic. Downloading a free mod to stop seeing news about paid mods.
Its almost Shakespearean
i honestly fail to see a point.
G Studios on what?
Nolan Hickey I didn't ask for this...
Nolan Hickey and its freee

About as out of touch as a corporate, business suit wearing executive at a boardroom meeting can be.
So, the Fallout community rebels against Bethesda, a tech company said something controversial, and Pewdiepie apologized. If that's the case then why the fuck is every single game forum talking about Mario's Nipples?!
See In Inn #princesslivesmatter
Because people like making mountains of mole hills
See In Inn I am pretty sure some lewd fan art of the princesses peaches already exist.
Good hunting
Dia Nuevo Fair Point.
When Betsheda tries to screw modders over but they realise modders are 50% of their games' content these days and have too much power to be screwed over lol
MasterJazz09 Thats right, if they did they would be fucked 5x over.
MasterJazz09 - Do you honestly think they wouldn't stop free mods to make you buy them if they could get away with it? Really?
How is this trying to screw over modders? The whole idea is that modders will willingly apply to work on Creation Club, and as we can see, they did
@MasterJazz open your eyes.
Remember when some modders actually believed in bethesda a few months ago? I wonder how they felt now
Remember when modders had support from the community? Wonder how you'll feel once they leave you to your Vanilla bs.
Pwned.
you people care way too much about this guys comment
Exactly what I was thinking, they can pull that kind of shit on consoles, but not on pc, they'll just get burnt.
Yeah, with all the backlash with GTAV and now this, it should be pretty clear that you don't fuck with mods on the God console
Slarti Barti Farti - What the fuck is a God console supposed to be?
it's not like they banned modding, or did any direct attack, so i don't see what's the big deal.
Potatoes need to git gud and become french fries
Shabab Hoque nah
Shabab Hoque you mean chips, right
Surely you mean vodka
#woke
King Kabab yes they do
I don't think that those who disliked your Pewdiepie video where necessarily all fanboys, the one thing I've noticed about the majority of the gaming community is that they promote free-speech while taking a hard stance towards censorship.
I don't think being young has anything to do with it. Censorship is bad whether you are 14 or 40.
The gaming industry needs more adblocks in games, remove all micro transactions :P
BremCrumbs Micro transactions are fine. But Loot boxes are EVIL!!!
Erutanx7 micro transaction are fine.......*IN FREE TO PLAY GAMES* not in a fucking full price game
Accelerator unless its pay to win screw that shit.
Accelerator Agreed high five.
I really want to see Mario with yakuza-style body suit tattoos featuring enemies from the series now, lol.
It was almost an inevitability with ads showing up before videos of people dying, and quite frankly, it was the WSJ's faux outrage that brought attention to it.
rubber ducky It was WSJ who did a massive damages to UA-camrs ad Revenue.
Yadid Chowdhury Don't act like an idiot. If that is you in your picture then you are an adult. You should know how to think about things.
They have the horse power armor and space suit thingy for FREE on creation club right now! And I still don't want it....
The name Bruce thing... Your sub conscience remembers the shark named Bruce on nemo movie
Poor souls
"You shouldn't say what you think cus it might make some people mad"
Since when UA-camrs are supposed to worship their viewers? Ridiculous.
People are just to self important these days, this world is turning more and more into south park by the day, crazy fucking reactions to everything.
No matter if I agree with them or not, it's just refreshing to have a channel like this that isn't sucking up to everyone, and insist on having their own opinions.
Mike especially is gold when he gets a bit angry, his destiny isn't an mmo reaction was gold!
same here, this channel is a breath of fresh air in a sea of dull, conformist channels telling their audiences what they want to hear.
David Junk yes because I am a snowflake and I am entitled to live a good happy hate free life in my safe space.
Mike Lopez - While I agree that this channel should say whatever the fuck they want, you are making yourself sound like a Trump supporter. Snowflake? Fuck me you're as thick as shit if you voted for Trump.
I've watched every single one of your videos you've made. Ever. Thank you.
PGG takes me away from my depression for 10 minutes a day and i really appreciate it. Bless you guys
I don't like the fact that you're depressed so I'm gonna dislike your comment. YOU ARE NOT ALONE.
Mr Dayum Fine didnt say it gets rid of it i said it takes me away from it. I cant enjoy much but these vids always manage to make me laugh every time.
I'n not a pewdiepie fanboy but I feel society is way too fucking sensitive.
Yep and people like the Wall Street Journal and Sean Vanaman take advantage of all that sensitivity to cause real life damage.
I concur, and in the same boat here. When you've got the barrel end facing you, it will be difficult to maintain integrity. Basically, "business" can control youtube media. Need to rally people and build another platform that won't rely on sponsorship. Maybe subscription based like whatsapp.
Ikr
I'm not bothered what he said, but since he was partially responsible for adpocolypse, you would think he would be more cautious with the words he would say
Andii thank you dude same here, the world has been ruined by social media in all honesty. None of this existed when facebook and Twitter wasn't around. Now everyone is so engulfed in negativity it is so pathetic how quickly everyone is offended.
Came here right after watching Angry Joe review, AJ is BACK! ! !
Heck yeah he is!
So it only cost them a few employees to go over those reports.
it's just worth pointing out saying "the N word" instead of saying the N word is just the same, it's the thoughts behind the words that cause people to get angry at it
Disclaimer: this isn't meant to defend pewdiepie i don't really give 2 shit's about the thing, i just think that abbreviating or censoring a word is just as bullshit as saying it in full.
thank you! you would think that if people have the balls to bring it up they can atleast say it! you dont get to go half way!
Disagree, the actual word and the way it's blatantly spelt contextually is something dramatically different.
Jack Pyke Why after correcting them did you stull refuse to use the "n word"?
Because Pretty Good Gaming is blocking anyone indiscriminately who uses racist terms.
A mod to remove advertising? Why the hell hasn't anyone thought of this sooner!?!
S-clone Because advertisers would flip and take measures against mods. What if they made mods illegal or some shit like that?
Yeah because making something illegal is REALLY going to deter people from doing it lol.
Brandon Harry that's not an... good thing? You should change that.
Swearing is fine, but it's so different than slurs
if it becomes common its taking the word out of a pedestal, which is a good thing
Charlie Petersen It is absolutely a good thing and should not be changed at all.
Even though I don't really like Pewdiepie AT ALL, I'm not going to patronize him or beat the dead horse anymore than it already has.
Im not hyped or anything, i dont expect it to reach the same lvl as the first one did but still i want it to be as good as it can be.
lol 15k downloads is NOT a lot. But I'm happy someone made that mod and I'm happy you guys are promoting it further.
"You download the thing to hide the thing that makes you pay for the things"
-Mike Williams
such over simplicity has not been heard since Brad Pitt in True Romance.
The shocking part about Mario's nipples, is that Nintendo was the first to listen to the free the nipple trend from a while ago
I've never been a pewdiepie fan, but this is ridiculous. It's sad he can't just play games like a normal guy.
This is the new modding meta
Overwatch:
No, guys, come on.
>Blizzard can't get updates out for Overwatch out as fast as they want because they're spending too much time dealing out punishments
I seriously doubt that, given the one dude with 2.2k reports on his account (There's a Reddit post linking to it on the Overwatch subreddit from 19 days ago, named "Jeff Roasts Ban Complainer"). To list what Jeff Kaplan gave as the punishments that dude got:
• 9216 total hours silenced over 7 silences
• 3 gameplay bans
• 1 manually-enforced account suspension
Someone did the math on the silence time.
That baywatch 2017 pic killed me. XD
The modding community is truly unstoppable
The Baywatch Mario meme killed me hahahaha
What I get from the mario nipple story is that people actually thought that mario didn't have nipples and now they're surprised because he does. I guarantee that if they didn't give him nipples there would be they exact same reaction by people but they would be like "where are his nipples".
I have a lot of respect for the team behind overwatch taking bad behavior seriously. It's been a long standing joke that current report systems do nothing.
That mod is the most hilarious thing I've seen all day
Maybe it's not behind the scenes problems at Naughty Dog, but the game industry as a whole. Crunch in game development can be unforgiving and it sucks that talent from all studios has to go through that sort of stress on a regular basis.
The thing is the creation club removal will probably get more endorsements than what Bethesda would pay them
Bethesda would be like: God damn it! Them are NOT FREE PAID MODS! Them are creation club content!
Any mods to remove the creation club from the main menu? Simply removing the news are not enough.
Ok so I'm planning to buy fallout 4, and I'm a bit confused. So about this mods, will I have to pay for them or do I still have an option to get them for free? I'm on xbox btw(please be nice).
CoffeeAddictGuy Free mods still exist. You only have to pay for creation club mods.
Obito Uchiha oh i see. I get it now. Thanks!
No More Creation Club mod now scales to 21k, me included, thank you for the best game news of the day, probably in the month.
What's disturbing is that PewDiePie is apparently a role model that needs to be held to some arbitrary high standard.
The hurricane was all over our news in the US... I wonder if this was same for UK?
Meanwhile, in Ze Gud Old USSR, we haven't even heard of it. Must be because it's local US news.
(if not healthy)
As for Mario's nipples....Holy anatomically incorrect Batman!
Seriously, back in the day the Comics Code Authority didn't let male characters have nips. So I find this current controversy really really bizarre. I thought we got over that. Apparently not.
Well, that famous mod doesn't work for me and I downloaded/installed the game literally 24 hours ago.
dude, they fucked up big time. Their PR department needs fired and completely redone. How they thought people would be ok with this is beyond me.
Calling people fanboys/idiots for going against the PC culture? Ironic.
This battle is now known as a WAR OF THE MODS
Not a pewdiepie fan, still think he's not in the wrong..
I am a Pewdiepie fan. He apologized because he knew he was in the wrong. Now, move along.
Are you sure people just don't want to see adds in the game and that's the reason they d/l the mod?
Hey if people as so bothered about Mario's nipples, I'm sure a modder out there can create a mod to get rid of them or change give them mustashes etc!
0:52 That is rather misleading. Its the 3rd most downloaded THIS MONTH. If you look at "all time" or any time span greater that one month, the number of downloads is rather insignificant. I think this mod is just getting attention because it trendy to hate on Bethesda and the creation club at the moment.
Blizzard/Activision shouldn't have the animation team and the hero design team work on those unsportsmanlike people.
If that tweet is "shocking" to you, then you must be a Victorian-era Grandmother.
+Pretty Good Gaming for some context that "hire me nentendo meme actually started because some random dude was butt hurt about how one of the females was dressed in xenoblade 2
Thanks for not giving a shit about Mario's nipples! You are my go to subscribtion now
You got massive amounts of dislikes on that video because it was blatantly obvious your only concern was your revenue.
Jim Morrison well they can't continue the channel without revenue
*+Cubed Cat*
That's one rabbit hole you dont want to go down on.
Since when was fallout 4 a 5 or 6 year old game? Its only about 2 years old at most.
I'm slightly afraid how fucked is next elder scrolls game gonna be like....
While other companies sell products to donate the profit to hurricane victims this one tells you to buy it at full price and doesn't contribute the disaster in the gulf coast.
Bruce Straley leaving Naughty Dog is the worst gaming news I've gotten in a long time lol.. He and Neil worked so well off of eachother.
Is Blizzard banning people for saying "bad things" in the game?? is the system not just to report cheaters and get them banned?
