  • Dr. Judy has fun chatting with Chelsea Kent, Co-Owner of Hero’s Pets, Owner of ParsleyPet HTMA testing for dogs, humans, and horses, and Solutions Pet Products. She always shares significant industry insight and provides the opportunity to see what’s currently important to consumers, manufacturers, reps, and distributors nationwide.
Chelsea shares why it’s important to understand dietary modification options especially instead of feeding a "prescription diet". Learn how when you feed and how much you feed can impact outcome (carb loading, ketogenic diets, etc), what Restorative Diets are and how to properly combine herbs and supplements with the diet. Such great into!
We can't forget about our beloved horses. What we feed our equines has a profound impact on their health, well being, temperament and performance. The entire Naturally Healthy Pets team highly recommends the extensive seven hour course, Horse Healthmanship Nutrition 101 with renowned holistic veterinarian Dr. Joyce Harmon. Dive into this informational course and give your horse the vibrant life they deserve.

I tried Solutions Pet food because the pet boutique didn't have any other brands. I almost made the mistake of overfeeding; however, I stopped just before I put his food into the warmer to take the chill out of his food (sensitive to cold raw food). I stopped and said, wait, that is 14 oz /DAY, not per meal. I took out half his food and told myself, ok, if he dumpster dives and is constantly thinking about food (my dog is a Lab), then I will contact the company. He didn't and we had a rather uneventful walk. After calculating the sticker price with the amount of food recommended on their Food Calculator, and it is about 25% less. Removing supplements will decrease the cost even more. So this interview is worth listening to.

Just what I needed to see today! My dog is on Hills K/D for liver issues brought on by giving him Nexgard, never again! I am looking for a healthy diet for him. I’d make my own food for him! He’s on a milk thistle expensive medication. I do like the supplement, I did research on that!

Check out Dr Judy's play list of videos, if you want to fix your dog's food. You might find a solution there. My dog LOVES his food, and I fix her pup loaf recipe, gently cooked, switching the main protein type each week. His fur and skin are amazing!

My dog is 10, he’s got some arthritis. I’m looking at a healthy supplement to help him get some relief. The vet put him on a cox II inhibitor, they took vioxx off the market for humans, I personally wouldn’t take that for myself!

It's all so confusing - what do you think of the pet food puzzle guy? He claims kibble is the only way to go. (??) How is a person supposed to know who to believe???

Think of logic. What canines always eat at nature? Beans and grains? Or meat and herbs?- here is an answer!
