SKIPTON - HIRING A CANAL BOAT FOR THE FIRST TIME

We hired a canal boat from Skiptons Pennine Cruisers in North Yorkshire for 2 hours. We hired it for the early evening.You can hire it for longer on the night time and also can hire for all day.

Thank you for taking us along for the ride, really enjoyed the scenes of nature, especially with the lambs and ducks.
Would love to know whether you would recommend this experience for a family of 4 with older kids.
Also would love to know what you thought about the boat, as I'm considering hiring a day boat with similar looking boat.

It was a learning curve, we hadn't hired a canal boat before. Having more than 2 people would be an advantage. As there are more people that can do things. I wouldn't go along a canal where you would need to go through a loch, unless there are manned staff to help. We didn't use any facilties on the boat as we were only on it for 2 hours. I don't know if any of that helps, but it is a learning experience. I hope you have a good time if you hire a boat. If you get the chance let me know how it was for you and your family. xx
