slowly finishing up the 3rd set of episodes and i'm glad the running motif of gravity/destiny carries hard throughout the series. stone ocean really shines in that regard.
Planet Waves being just as good. Especially design wise bc it looks like a human heart. The only thing is, it pulls meteorites from the sky. Personally I like White Album bc it's wearable and it turns you into Ice Man
@@Connor_Kirkpatrick To be fair, if it weren't for the disk, Weather Report could've just used his ability to escape and then fight from a distance after he became weightless.
This is actually one of my favourite Stands from Stone Ocean, I think it looks and sounds sick with the heavy whirring. Ability is pretty cool too, shame the guy gets offed so quickly
Not that quickly, Lang Wrangler actually gave Jolyne and Weather Report a considerable amount of trouble due to his long range offensive. As well as robbing the two of a large amount of leverage to fight on leaving them horribly vulnerable in midair. Hard to hold your ground when there's no ground to hold onto.
@@Hans172.made in heaven couldnt survive a time stop pucci only won because he knew jotaro would protect jolyne before killing him, ger could prob move within stopped time tusk act 4 can move aswell so these two stands can def survive a timestop attack
My favorite stands in all of JoJo are Jumping Jack Flash, Weather Report, White Album, Crazy Diamond, Planet Waves, Metallica and Oasis. Narrowing it down, Jack Flash, Album, Oasis, and Diamond are the best in terms of utility and skill set. Zero Gravity, Ice powers, liquidation, and healing. Design wise. I like Jack Flash. Power wise, it's a three way tie between Flash, Diamond and Oasis. But you gotta admit, if Jumping Jack Sparks was used in a much more open area the damage and mobility would be insane with everything floating around.
bro i'm so happy you're back so many people have already "beaten" you to it but we already know, you're the king of jojo's sound designs and i can't wait for the rest
Why did the animation and sound design go so unbelievably hard this fight Like it’s legitimately just as good as the Made in Heaven fight in terms of quality, if not better Edit: I maintain what I said about the sound design, but I don’t know what I was on when I praised the animation as hard as I did. It’s mostly still shots with some added effects or CGI. This is nothing compared to shit like Bucciarati v. Secco or Jotaro v. Anubis
Part 6 is definitely the worst in terms of an adaptation. It lacks the animation quality of the other parts and doesn’t have very many of the cool color shifts. It also butchered the Cmoon fight.
It always seems that there's a general theme regarding Stands made in every part of Jojo, minus 3. A lot of Part 6 feels like it has stands which either have abilities or solutions around positioning and movement. Jumping Jack Flash, Planet Waves, Dragon's Dream, Sky High, Underworld, and obviously C Moon and Made in Heaven. And then there are fights where the stand isn't about movement but problems arise with the positioning of characters, like Goo Goo Dolls, Green Green Grass of Home and the Yo Ma Ma fights. Even arguably Highway to Hell (the battle depends on knowing where McQueen is and what he's doing) and Marilyn Manson (where a big struggle of the fight is about positioning) fit into it too Which is probably why (minus a lot of speed reading so people could move on to Part 7) a lot of people have said the anime works better than the manga. That much focus on positioning works a lot more smoothly in animation than it does in still images.
a little unrelated, about DIO's sons Stands they seem to also draw from things associated with DIO Rikiel's Sky High using sky rods to cause diseases, is basically half the same explanation as DIO's earlier vampiric ability to vaporize water in his body and freeze someone (ie. they're both based on their opponent suffering heat loss) while Ungalo and Versus' Bohemian Rhapsody and Underworld seem to be thematic foreshadowing of what he's trying to achieve through Heaven, as both Stands trap someone in an event where whatever fate happens cannot be defied with
i think this "phenomena" arises because making stands with skills affecting the enviroment is a way easier concept to develop upon than an unbeatable skill or user with extreme level of experience. King crimson and the world are examples of what i say, as theyre extremely hard to defeat in common terms, while something like jumping jack flash or dragons dream can be reasoned with if you have enough strategy and a good enough stand that allows such
In space there's microgravity and no air so there's an aesthetic connection between the zero-g floating and the frictionless superspeed. I think it was a mistake not to leave that connection as purely aesthetic, with those two abilities being two different powers. Trying to explain the super speed in terms of the antigravity just made it seem like they didn't understand what gravity and friction actually are.
The sound in this whole fight from the music, to the stands, was perfect. (Maybe except for Jolyne's horrid shrieking) But it's one of, if not my favorite fight in JoJo. Even if he was just a villain of the week, Jumpin Jack Flash is just so epic. I love how there can be stands that share the same power, but in totally different styles. C-Moon, Made in Heaven, and Jumpin Jack Flash all have the power of gravity. Jumpin Jack Flash creates a zone of zero gravity, and uses centrifugal force which is a bit of rocket science in order to be efficient with his ability. C-Moon is the change in local gravity. Being the center of it, making it able to shift where is up and where is down. And then of course the destructive force of reversed gravity. Made in Heaven spawns the greatest gravitational force, a black hole, to affect the speed of time. Gravity if you didn't know, determines how fast or how slow things age. Our center of gravity in the solar system is the sun. And planets that are farther away have to make a longer rotation around it for a year to pass. Planets like Mercury have very short years because they are so close. So because a black hole has the greatest mass in the universe, the gravity is so intense that it sucks in light, as well as time. But because it was his ability, Pucci was immune to the effects of it, allowing him to move at what other people thought was imperceptible speeds. But in reality, everyone was being slown down by the power of a black hole. Anyway, the variation of stand abilities is so well thought out. Araki didn't just say "Ok this stand gets gravity power" and let it make rocks float to cast them at people like Radahn in Elden Ring. Though it would be funny if there was a stand that just turned into a literal cataclysmic meteor lol
