I went with my best friend - a guy who's mostly into heavy metal - and I'd been raving about Drenge to him for months. he said he enjoyed it afterwards, but it didn't seem like it at the time haha. I was dancing and yelling the words and he was sorta standing off to the side, maybe embarrassed, idk. but it was fun we only went for the day, and really only for Drenge, but before and after they were on we wandered all over the place, just basking in the chaos, half-hearing these grungy, underground indie bands that sounded like nirvana first festival I ever went to. good times...
I met Rory at Latitude festival and he's a proper sound lad, Eoin seems the same but I never met him! Him and Seasick Steve came out of the backstage bit and I pretty much ignored the fact Steve was there and went to Rory instead ;(
haha yeah im not surprised, im still not sure why they found it so funny haha - and yeah i was right at the front, slightly to the right. was SUCH a good set; great crowd, great weather, great songs! one of my highlights of the whole weekend.
