Around 2:00 I start talking about this www.reddit.com/r/CompetitiveApex/comments/wvr1w8/values_for_standard_sensitivities_from_vpk_files/?rdt=63468 How I know my Response Curve decimal ua-cam.com/video/KVq0qAoOtqA/v-deo.html Deadzone video ua-cam.com/video/vUSF8HxiDfg/v-deo.html Outer Threshold video I uploaded after this ua-cam.com/video/YEtv1GDCZaU/v-deo.html Per Optics video ua-cam.com/video/kpD3_uc2nHI/v-deo.html Playlist with all my Apex Legends ALC videos over the last like year+ ua-cam.com/play/PL090lxzhDiLRnwH4mwaOrC-IQ6e_A45DA.html
It's more about the settings screen itself. I wouldn't have done most of this if the size/shape/function of the aim assist didn't change at each response curve. I think 1.3 is the least flawed in terms of aim assist size/shape/function but has an issue with input mapping, which can be addressed with an outer threshold acceleration pattern. Even w/o the horizontal tracking circle the vertical creates a shape very similar to 4.8
ADVANCED look controls . The developers are on BS though, it's like they intentionally made the settings screen as fucked up as possible so people would just use their default settings. I know basically everything that is hidden in the ALC screen; even default settings affect your ALC setting but I'm still exploring this and don't want to post incomplete info. Idk if I'll ever post something about that because idgaf at this point. If you want to know more check out my ALC & Aim Assist playlist, I think it's posted in the pinned comment on this video.
I was using 400 yaw/pitch because that is the speed I need to be at to move through the per optic aim assist. The response curve shape is better than the optic shape, to make the response curve shape solid I need to play at 309 & 216 To be able aim in that shape I need to make the per optic assist small. 1x= Middle.5 (high feels sketchy) 2x= Default.6 (low gets stuck) This response curve needs 3 outer threshold. (3rd 1% not actually 3 outer) I can't elaborate but it has something to do with the speed of the curve not ramping through enough values. Low.4 on the optics is a circle larger than large characters. It shrinks as you increase it. Default.4 is a column. Middle.5 is the smallest optic shape before the sensation disappears. This info is only for 1.3 response curve. 3.4 - 3.5 optics at 8.9 response curve is similar to what is happening here.
And this per optics are also from the game files but it is for 110 fov 1x 1.1 2x 1.2 3x 1.32 4x 1.4 6x 1.5 8x 1.6 and 10x 1.0 I I definitely had to adjust the per optics 1.2 is to slow for almost anything had to put it to 1.4 for the 2x and then for the rest of the rest of them are set to 1.4 but the 6x 8x and 10x that’s set to 1.6
Thanks for telling me about the vpk stuff, it probably would've taken me a month to add an outer threshold at this spot without that info. I used an optic setup close to that at 8.6 on PS4 before I knew my decimal positions. I set my optics at 1.3curve with the 3030 in the firing range. The order looks weird but those are the spots where I approached targets instead of over/under swinging.
It was high deadzone for PS4. Highest 2 with 4 Outer to create an acceleration pattern where 6 was more than 5. I used 140/140 ads with 1.1 and 1.2 optics but I didn't know the specific positions low/mid/high.
So I’m not sure why the link keeps going away but there a page on Reddit that showed the hit box and also it’s crazy that I been practicing with the guns with the most recoil like the devo havoc flat line car smg the new r99 recoil and I came to this conclusion My settings 1% dead zone 0 is trash 2% out The response curve I been fighting with I’m currently playing at 3 lowest I went to was 2 highest was 4 the feel of 3 feels really good and working with all the guns listed above My hit fire is hard as well it’s either 300 or 320 or 340 pitch is definitely 260 Ads I do not change it’s the best 140 ads yaw 135 ads pitch 30 extra yaw 35 extra pitch 100% ramp up time 25% delay Per optics 1x 1.0 2x 1.4 3x 1.4 4x 1.4 6x 1.6 8 x 1.6 10x 1.6 I’m playing on a Xbox elite controller max right stick tension And I mapped it for a smooth response curve in the Xbox accessory app
You want to push through cushions and hit an empty area. 2.9 has a larger middle area than 3.0, 3.0 is smaller than 4.0 1.6 , 2.9 , 3.0 , 3.6 , 3.7 , 4.0 5.1 is smaller 3.0 and might not include heads (like 3.2) I think 4.4 is better than those and kinda does the same thing. 4.4 didn't have a velocity issue like 4.8, it just felt like aim assist was doing a lot. If you're on default aim assist then 3.9 might be decent. It's columns like 1.5 but it's not a struggle on default. 3.9 is scuffed on PC.
I hate messing with these settings, it doesnt do what it says in description. Its the devs that make it so complicated its not funny. Put your outer threshold at 30 and test out your hip fire cus it works. It's the aim down sights is the problem because you can push the stick all the way and it goes the same speed no matter if you put extra yaw pitch to max so it's lying. Extra yaw and pitch is only when you aren't looking at anyone and when you are there is no extra. Also sensitivity and speed are complicated because if you put sensitivity up the circle becomes eradic and faster and to get what your looking for you realize it messes with other areas of aim. It's a shit show. Like he said 1 point messes it all up and when you are dealing with 1 to 500 x4 it seems like they are doing this intentionally. Also I want to note people who spend 170 for a heirloom or 360 for this events death box and sword they probably also buy the device or software that eliminates the recoil. Ive spent so much time trying to find good settings but always comes back to one thing is really good but effects other situations then you change it to fix it and ruins what your good at. Wish every game had universal aim settings. If you do read this, set your settings in the firing range so it's all good but wait turn on the dummies to shoot and watch your setting completely change it's like magic in a bad way. Change your settings to dummies shooting then make changes it's the truth try it if you don't believe me 😅
I agree the settings screen seems to be intentionally designed to disuade players from interacting with it. The thing you mentioned about dummies in motion is likely your vertical not creating a sticky sensation on the characters. I know extra doesn't activate in close range, I'll link a video on edit:ua-cam.com/video/MbEUw6yzmTs/v-deo.html Video where I tried extra recently at 1.3 curve
Try 250 Yaw and 250 Pitch. All else on the "look" section of the settings, put 0's. That is Extesey's look sense. And then 130, 130 for ADS. Gen Burten's aim settings.
@@dallanlewis6084 those numbers mean nothing w/o the response curves. The reason both players are using different speeds is due to multiple factors. Even their default settings outside the ALC screen affects their setting. There is no speed that fits every ALC because every response curve has a different input mapping and aim assist shape. The shape of 1.3 is completely different than the shape of 1.0
I don't see the link in pending. I probably have auto-mod removing links because bots used to spam me and I didn't want viruses just sitting in the comment section. The only thing i could find was people showing the amount of pixels each character is made of. Idk if that's useful for ALCs other than knowing who's smallest and largest.
What do you think you need to know? I have videos on basically everything. I upload as I learn stuff. You might not realize this but I'm solving a puzzle piece by piece. If you're trying to learn then skim my ALC playlist, I put it in an order that should make sense to somebody trying to learn what I know. There are like 4 videos before this one in the playlist; they cover deadzone, alc curve aim assist shapes, and per optic aim assist. The videos after this in the playlist cover how default settings affect alc, and outer threshold stuff.
It's the first 12 videos (even though the playlist has 30 in it). I usually explain the subject within the first minute then give a more detailed step-by-step explanation after that. ua-cam.com/play/PL090lxzhDiLRnwH4mwaOrC-IQ6e_A45DA.html

My settings
1% dead zone 0 is trash
2% out
The response curve I been fighting with I’m currently playing at 3 lowest I went to was 2 highest was 4 the feel of 3 feels really good and working with all the guns listed above
My hit fire is hard as well it’s either 300 or 320 or 340 pitch is definitely 260
Ads I do not change it’s the best 140 ads yaw
135 ads pitch
30 extra yaw
35 extra pitch
100% ramp up time
25% delay
Per optics
1x 1.0
2x 1.4
3x 1.4
4x 1.4
6x 1.6
8 x 1.6
10x 1.6

So i had this question for a year i did some test and to me per optics max with the the alcs at 0 gives more aim assist then max alc no per optics
