After Kevin's passing, I got my mom to watch Mask of the Phantasm with me, to understand just a bit of the talent and heart of this great performer who has touched so many lives. It was the last movie we ever watched together; she passed a couple of weeks later.

Kevin Conroy's best moment as Batman in the animated series is when Batman teamed up with his childhood TV hero the gray ghost who's voiced by Adam west which I think is symbolic because it's two Batman actors in from two eras in one episode
Kevin Conroy like west, Keaton, Kilmer, Clooney, Bale, afleck and now Pattinson, they ARE BATMAN!! But his voice is the definitive batman voice. I am vengeance, i am the night, I AM BATMAN! (Thank you for everything ❤️ 🙏 Kevin)
It sucks that Kevin Conroy died, I always wanted to meet him face to face because Batman was one of my heroes as a kid. I did thankfully get to speak with him through a virtual meet and greet, so it wasn't all bad. Still a shame to be sure.
Kevin taking rolls adjacent to Batman in DC works is such a great thing. Just a subtle fun detail for fans of his Batman that just add that little bit more to his role. Rest in peace you absolute legend.
Same, ppl are saying it wasn't really Mark as Joker, but it was I have it on good authority it was indeed Mark just trying to sound like his first old Joker but people still say it was a stand in or AI. It was Hamill.
@@Jezee213the one people are talking about was not Hamill, I’m pretty sure it was released with the wrong voice actor, but they rereleased it with Hamills voice as intended
Honestly I have that same thing, whenever I read a Batman comic or pretty much any comic batman appears in I always hear kevin conroy’s voice whenever I read batmans lines, he really was the definitive voice for Batman and I’m glad a grew up hearing him as Batman rest in peace Kevin conroy
I definitely remember Belacus on Ben 10: UAF and Omniverse, and it's interesting to hear Kevin Conroy because he's got a super iconic voice. May he rest in peace.
Kevin Conroy was so great as Batman! I was a teen when Batman The Animated Series came on tv in 1992, but I watched it anyway! I had only read a few Batman comics, but I really liked the show! He had a excellent voice for Batman, and I miss hearing his voice. every time I play Arkham Asylum, Arkham City and Arkham Knight, I try to not cry when I hear Batman talk to other characters. I never knew he did voice roles other animated shows. I hadn't known the show you mentioned even existed, but it's good he managed to get cast for them. He will forever be the voice in my mind every time I read Batman comic, and he an excellent job in portraying Batman as well as Bruce Wayne.
I remember the day when I came home from college for the week I looked on my phone scrolled through social media one post said kevin conroy 1955 to 2022. I sent it to my college teacher who met Kevin Conroy having worked for Dublin comic con then I sent it to my friend who's the biggest batman fan I know and honestly to this day I still can't believe he's gone. He's my favourite batman ever and he always will be batman
Kevin Conroy is my favourite Batman voice. It's still a natural human voice but it's very deep and its gravely, but not too gravely. I can understand what emotions he feels as he's talking. And his voice can strike fear into the hearts of criminals but he can speak softly to the innocent and downtrodden, and it also has a heroic superhero sound to it. I can imagine him yelling "Robin! To THE BATMOBILE!" Kevin was an amazing Batman, and an even better person in real life.
So glad you included his Captain Sunshine role in Venture Bros. There's an interview with the creators that said he read the script, thought it was hilarious but was also worried it might affect his career voicing such a risqué character, so he kept walking back and forth in front of the studio while the creators watched from a window above and made bets on whether or not he'd take the role. Thankfully he did, as Captain Sunshine is one of my favorite voices he's ever done. Rip Kevin, we miss you
Kevin Conroy wrote a story in a DC Pride annual a couple years. Very multi talented individual. He wrote about his experiences growing up as a gay man and how his bad experiences helped him relate to bruce wayne in a way that gave us the voice we know and love today. Highly recommend the book. RIP
The One & Only True Batman! RIP Kevin Conroy. He was Vengeance, He was the Night, HE IS BATMAN! And he will be dearly missed and remembered. Rest Well Detective.
Kevin Conroy’s Voice is Music to my Ears and Soul, although it seems that Crisis of Infinite Earth Part 3 will be his Last Role, Rest in Peace Caped Crusade, you are Gone but Never Forgotten.
I know this is about Conroy's voice acting career but my Mom and I were recently watching through Season 1 of Matlock and lo and behold I saw a 30 something Kevin Conroy playing a love interest of Matlock's (Andy Griffith) daughter. Was a nice surprise.
It's cool that Kevin Conroy voiced other characters outside of Batman. However, for individuals like myself who grew up in the 90s, I knew him as the voice of Batman. Both Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill are the reason why the Batman Arkham games (excluding Arlham Origins) were so great.
Fun Fact: In Batman TBATB Adam West voiced Batman's father in the same episode Kevin Conroy voiced The Phantom Stranger. Two legends now gone but not forgotten. Two definitive Batmen. 🥺
When I hear his Voice I see hear Batman. When I see his face I think of Captain Wallace from Tour of Duty where he played a company commander in Vietnam.

His bit on The Daly Show remains my favorite of his. Just so absurd, I could totally see Kevin Conroy pranking the voice actor of Superman like that. But Capt. Sunshine is a close second.

I remember my dad was streaming the first season of Tour of Duty a couple of years ago, and in the first season the company commander, Captain Rusty Wallace, as played by the late Kevin Conroy. I was saddened when they had to kill off the character, simply because it was nice seeing a Kevin Conroy live action performance, showcasing his abilities outside of voice acting. Of course, this was before Batman catapulted him to the legend he was at the time of his passing, but it was still a great call back to my childhood.
You forgot to mention in the new animated Batman series, Mark Hamill voices the character whom kills Dick's father, which is a neat tie in, given his father is voiced by Kevin
Kevin is also in the last Tomorrowverse movie but probably in a cameo kind of way to DCAU Batman (and Joker with Mark voicing) where he had a bigger role as Batman in the Suicide Squad video game. I dunno if there is anymore left from him after that movie, lol. Edit: You do address this later on in the video.
