Very proud of you guys. I just purchased a 2019 Freightliner M6 102. I haven't ran one load and I mean ever. I jumped in the box truck game with a financed truck. After tons of research I couldn't get my self to rent/lease. I dumped all of my savings into cleaning my credit and then leveraged my credit to obtain everything I needed for box trucking. I just had my trademark logo added to my driver and passenger side door. For anyone reading my comment....

I'm thinking about starting a UA-cam channel for the following reason: I live in NYC 🗽 and I haven't seen too many videos representing the north east. What do you guys think?
I havent seen new New york authorities put out videos either. insurance is ridiculously expensive, same with actually finding a rental in the tri-state area. I'm gonna have to finance too but I think I'll have to start out with a cargo van first. that is if brokers will even work with me. had to double insure my small sedan in order to get my authority active last week. I'm looking at Ryder's promotion running right now, supposedly $0 down payment for 59 days. if I can only find an insurance for at least less than 3000 a month. I'm 27 with a new CDL A.
@@johnnysands2566 Are you in the state of New York? Progressive Commercial Insurance amounted to more than $33K (NYC Coverage). However, I used an address located upstate New York (far from the city), and the price reduced to about $11K for the year which turned out to be less than $1K/monthly.
@@techknowledge3911 really?? What county or town did you use? I live in Suffolk county long Island. Quotes came out to 3200/month with 9600 down payment with progressive. I can change my business address to any different town. Would be very appreciated if you let me know to give it a shot.

@@johnnysands2566 Thanks and I'm available for any questions you may have. As far as the business I can't stand working for people. I left a 6-figure accounting job after the pandemic started. I then got into the Gig delivery world and averaged about $3,500/week though countless hours. I was deactivated by my delivery app which delt a crushing blow to myself (I left my job for this gig). Box trucking seemed like it was great opportunity to control my destiny.
PSA!!!!! Do not listen to anyone who can't see/understand your vision. One thing is for sure. You are your only barrier. Avoid the "Fair of failure" mentality as it is very real. Also, what works for you may not work for others, so do not let anyone superimpose their own fairs onto you. I fall on hard times all the time with business ventures. The lessoned learned is this is the time you find out who you really are. I rather fail trying then to not try at all. Years later I'd be tormented with the thought of "What if I ?"
Finally, we are in NY (Huge advantage in my opinion).

Did you purchase the truck in the state you live in? How much was the sales tax and registration?
We did purchase our truck in the same state however it had indiana tags on it when we got it. About to drive a video on what we paid and how long each step of the process took. Taxes, tags and registration was about $3k

This is are third week I want to say still don’t have the tags but we have the truck so it’s about a four to five week process
The truck was ready in like 2weeks for pick up we still don’t have tag yet waiting on the title to be sent with a lien on it

We went through Penske to get the truck and they do financing though a company called Premier Financing.
Expedited straight truck 6 wheels the eight wheels or the 10 wheel it will be a comfortable fit it has a sleeper and two bunks
I’m have to look into it
If you pay more than $50, for this box truck you better off got to expedite straight truck same thing but it's comfortable fit with a sleeper saving money on hotels and you had the Comforts of home not unless you home every night
