I bought an old CT110 (postie) in WA Australia for $200 in the early 90's and toured the south west of WA basically a 40mph, I have had lots of bikes but have fond memorys of the little Honda cruising along watching the Oz country side going by.
i just gave $100 for a 1982 ct110 it was all there an cleaned up so good it had a nasty carb an tank, stuck intake valve i revived it had it on the street for the first time today! it was great, i swear nothing makes me more happy then bringing these old bikes back to life!
Very fun little bikes! Camping, fishing, ice fishing, bow hunting!! These little things are so fun, and maneuverable! 2021, Honda bringing it back to USA, E.F.I., kick start, electric start, digital Speedo. Disc brakes front and Rear. Red!! No Hi-Lo range though. 9HP, instead of 4.9 HP, 110cc. Getting one!!
I got one up on you. It's a 1984 Honda trail ct110. Same bike but a 1984 and it only has 169 original mi, original tires, original tool case that came with it
Here in Australia, they delivered mail on these for decades. I own a few and at one point in time, rode it one more than anything else. Perfect for suburban commuting. Also, it can be fun on downhill twisty roads. Atm I live in a small town with lots of dirt roads. They do well there, too. I own 200 acres and leave one there as well. You almost can't kill one of these. I guess you could, but you would just about have to do it deliberately.
Canteens were standard. I had a ‘74 Trail 90. Might have demoed the handlebar release. These were made to ride on the bumper of pickup campers. Turn bars sideways.
I believe these bikes had the dual range transmission.... 4speed with hi/low range. We had an 84' when I was a kid. It would do 50mph with not much trouble. Probably wring 55 out of it if you kept the hammer down long enough. We weren't trying to kill it though.
Fantastic bike in Australia the post office sell them after 2 year or 20k km what ever come first fpr about $900 au. I bough 2 a 81 dual range and a 2002 I love them
I bought two a 86' and a 84' both with less than 1500 miles, both in mint condition. Paid $800 for the 86' $750 for the 82' a d it came with a bumper carrier.
Funny used car prices these days in June '24 though these old postie bikes Ct 100/110 are so still available in my area that a good one is under $2500 AUD and a beater farmhand paddock basher can still be ~$800 AUD. Over inflated post Covid era though way cheaper than a farm/paddock basher car be it a Golden Gemini/ Datsun 200B/ "Ford" Laser or ~'92-98 Daihatsu Handivan/Sirion 3 banger.
OMG, I've seen several videos from this owner. I wouldn't buy anything from him why? Every video he says these words like "bike is a beast, absolutely perfect, this thing rips, I would buy it, can't find one anywhere". I can go on but I won't. I found some online with some of the bikes that he sells and find they are in better condition than what he describes with his bikes. Not hating or judging him but come on man, this is such a typical old ways of selling a vehicle in todays world. As most can research and review on their own before purchasing. Salesman's that allows the vehicle to speak for themselves will usually get the sale. My rule is if a salesman over sell the vehicle stay away from it.

Two things I would add to your bike, and that is a new reflector, and the rubber cap that goes on the clutch cover. Then it is complete and awesome.
An original stock one of these with stock gearing would hit 55 on a good day so 40mph...you have some tuning to do

I have an 82 ,look identical, 900 miles. I love it, 45 mph top speed, they have a 15 tooth front sprocket, with a 16 tooth it will probably hit 50mph
I love these 4 stroke Hondas. In Asia they make the Cross Cub 110, wish they would bring them here
Thought you'd have mentioned the cool hi/lo g/box feature, which turns these little bikes into mountain goats.

Our '67 and '68 CT90s both went about 54mph. Something was wrong with that one. You don't need to lower the stock gearing with the dual range.

How do you switch from low to high gears?
@@daneboro6847 there is a hi lo switch right below and behind the left foot peg by the shifter and when its in neutral you can switch it
