I saw on another FB page where someone made one using the napkin technique. The napkin used was not an all over pattern but one with floral on the bottom and white on the top. It was stunning. Trending in cards: slimline, eclipse and and iris dies. Out: sequins, In: gems, Out: little animals, In: Geometrics, Out: muted colors, In: rainbows. Frankly I love all the new and old stuff. Just loving this hobby of ours.
Beautiful card Natasha ❤ I have never heard of an eclipse card, obviously not moving in the right circles! In fact, Not Moving. I'm housebound but I've learnt more techniques from you than I would ever do at a craft club. Thanks
Great card, as always, Natasha, and great tips from other people too. Thanks for always teaching us cool techniques - the tip about using the V to hold the space for the 2nd A is brilliant, and something I will use in the future.
I wish I had you as a neighbor. I am a great grandmother, so I have lot of experience with children and love them to pieces. I also play with paper all the time! I think you do lovely, very clear and understandable videos. I watch all of them and really enjoy them. I think I would have a lot of fun playing with paper with you!
This is my favorite card I've seen you make! First of all, those flowers look so warm and rich! I loved the shine! The lettering and the navy color peeking out is just incredible! I need to get a larger stamp--so I can try this out! Thank you again for the inspiration!
Loved the card! Now I'm going to have to buy some alphabet dies! Someone told me the clear embossing trick a while back and so I stocked up on clear embossing powder. I have found that the best bargain for good embossing powder is "Wow Embossing Powder Large Jar 160ml-Clear Gloss" (superfine) which you can find on Amazon (search for the phrase in quotes) for $9.50 (just checked, it's still available) Their small jars are 15ml for about $5-6, so for just a few dollars more you get more than ten times the amount. I have bought a couple of these and used about a third of one of the jars to mix with mica powder and create 24 different colored embossing powders.
I have the magnetic platform that came with my machine & HATE it! It’s basically small magnets placed inside the platform & will attract the dies & move them! I have to tape my stuff especially if it’s something that needs to be lined up. I’ve never heard or seen this card before so (as usual) THANKS for showing! I’m going to make one tonight for my husband’s upcoming birthday. You rock!
Thanx 4 the gorgious inside (flower) card idea, I know it, but always forget to do it that way ! Thanx 4 the reminder and this way it looks so amazing with this light color ! Love it ! Thanx so much !!!!
Looks amazing! The gloss from the embossing is an extra nice touch. I will have to try it doing stacked die cuts instead of little tiny bits of foam tape - looks better with a solid base, and less frustration! 😆
A beautiful card - as always...lol. When I do these, I offset the letters slightly , just so you can see a slightly contrasting colour. But as you say, it’s all about preference. Thanks for another great tutorial vid ! ❤️
I have seen this idea, but don’t remember hearing it called an eclipse card. Now I know, and it’s on my list of things to try! I will most likely use some of my hoard of patterned papers. I do love them, but seem to have a hard time coming up with ideas to use them up. Thank you!
Natasha, I made a THANKS card inspired by your card and I used glossy accents on the letters to help them show up a bit better. I'm not on facebook or anything so not sure how to show you or give you credit for your inspiration. I do thank you so much! I'm picking up a lot of tips from you which really helps because I have zero creative juices. Thank you again! Deb
Thank you, Natasha, for inspiring me to not only stretch my supplies, but my creativity as well. I originally thought this would be too busy, but I love the finished card. Tyfs. Blessings & Peace
Wow!!! That looks so much better than the one I made. I used foam squares, rather than 4 layers of card, I think I'm going to have another go at this. Thank you.
This is gorgeous! Don't invest in a magnetic platform either, they still don't hold the dies, I have to tape everything. Love the eclipse technique, it's one of my favorites!
I have a big shot and I got a magnetic platform from close to my heart. I took my machine to my consultants home to see if her platform fit the big shot. The CTMH platform is only $20CDN so it’s very economical, I thought. This coming from a gal who gets most of her stuff from our consignment craft store! I used it for the first time last night and it worked for me!
I used to make slimline cards back when they were just called DL!! They're very much back in fashion now! Never attempted an eclipse, liked them but had no clue how they were done, so that's now added to my list to try. Thanks for another great tutorial Natasha 🙂👌
I had never heard of an eclipse card...how gorgeous! I was wondering what you meant in the beginning when you said it’s like a hidden message. Lol! I absolutely love it!! Thank you Natasha for all of your brilliant and beautifully talented ideas! XO
Hello Natasha...up till now I haven’t been convinced to even try these slim-line cards but your card has made me change my mind. I started 1 year ago (September 1st, 2019) to make cards without any knowledge and I have been learning through videos on You Tube. Your channel has become one of my favorites because you use what you have and are creative with little. I am trying to do the same. Thank-you so much for taking the time to share your wonderful talent!
Vicki Cervantes I’m in Australia and I just get mine from any craft store, not an expensive one. I think it’s pretty cheap. In Australia, try Riot. Sometimes even the Reject Shop or Red Dot have it. It runs through the die cutter really easily.
I love eclipse cards but prefer a little contrast so the word is actually visible. After applying foam to the back of the letters I take a marker and run around the edge of each letter so it will stand out a little more. Hope some can use that tip!
Great job! Great minds think alike. I just did an eclipse card yesterday. I like your idea of adding colored cardstock as I wasn't thrilled with the outcome. Colored cardstock would have helped. I will post on FB! Thanks and hope you are having a great weekend!!!
Love this card I've used slimline cards but not on this technique and have never made an eclipse card either but will put this on my list of cards to try. Thanks once again for sharing your videos Natasha
You are so talented! I super appreciate how good you are at stacking the die cuts to make dimensional letters after I have been trying for a few months to get the knack of it. It’s very hard to get them so clean looking. Mine always look like garbage. Oh well practice makes perfect😅
Another lovely card Natasha.. but then love all your cards.. I do like this technique have done a few of them with peoples first name on the front.. :) ..
LOVE ECLIPSE CARDS, Natasha~~~And being a SLIMLINE VERSION is REALLY COOL! A bit hard to “read” the ALWAYS....but I know w/the letters stacked it is much easier in “real life”! The Black small LOVE YOU adds so much, and I like the simple inside stamping to bring the card together! TFS n’ HAPPY STAMPIN’ n’ CREATIN’! Have a TERRIFIC day! Sending SMILES from Madison, WI! :-))))
Hi Natasha, this is one very pretty card and another different design for me to add to my huge list of cards to try. Thank you for teaching me so many new things.

You had me at SLIMLINE ... and ECLIPSE ... and OWN BACKGROUND. Fantastic card. Love the results.
Thank you Bonnie, It is fun to make the eclipse cards!
ABSOLUTELY SMASHING CARD!! I LOVE the set & can’t wait to try “my version” of it! God Bless & the Love of Christ to you & yours!!
I love this card well there isn’t a card you make that I don’t love 💗 your are a great inspiration thanks for all you do.
Another stunning card Natasha. I love the simple beauty of your cards...what a talent!!

If you have the cricut you could cut the word out pick your font.
Great tip! Thanks!
Great demo, I had never heard of an eclipse card, so a real treat to see a new technique. Thank you 🌍🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🌍
Love those magnet holders.
Very subtle but very cool effect. I have never heard of this technique. I think it's very special. Thanks Natasha.🌷🌷
Love the card. Thank you, you have inspired me! I’m to make it for my friend’s 50th!

Another beautiful card design!
I've never tried this so it's a try soon.
Just a tip with ribbons, if they look creased I use a small hair straighteners it's worked every time for me
Great tip, thanks!
Yes indeed.
This is the BEST video I have seen on this technique!! Thank you!!!

Absolutely love this card Natasha! One of my favourites (of the many favourites). Hope you and your family are doing well!
Natasha, that is gorgeous!! Thanks for doing what you do for us here on You Tube! Sharing your creativity with us all is very generous of you!

Love this card! What a beautiful daisy background! I am liking slimline cards also right now. And have always loved eclipse! ♥️

Love that stamp made a great background 🌟
What an awesome idea!!! Lovely card!!!
Thanks for this tutorial Tash, but must admit I like the die-cut letters with just the blue card showing through the best!
So cool, fun too, tfs
Instead of cutting and stacking letters if you cut the letters in foam it's really easy.
That’s what I do too, sometimes using a contrast colour. Much quicker than stacking cardstock.
Thanks Jan. Great idea
I was wondering, Where do you order foam from & what size will cut through the die cutting machine?
Vicki Cervantes I’m in Australia and I just get mine from any craft store, not an expensive one. I think it’s pretty cheap. In Australia, try Riot. Sometimes even the Reject Shop or Red Dot have it. It runs through the die cutter really easily.
You can buy foam sheets fron dollar shop type places plus the China mail ones. They cut with no problems on my Cuttlebug Bigshot .
Awesome Card!
I love these cards-going to have to give it a try again! Thanks for the reminder❤️
Très très sympa cette petite carte! Merci pour le partage!
That's a Beautiful card. Thank you for sharing!
What a beautiful card. It has been a minute since I have made an eclipse cards, thanks for the reminder.
This is so cool! Looks very difficult for me to make, even though you make it look relatively simple Tash! Very clever technique!

This a beautiful card!! Love your ideas.
Always........................amazing creations.
Very nice! I have yet to try an eclipse card. Need to give it a go. TFS!
