A long overdue Adidas Spezial updated video of my SPZL Coats & a room tour!

Adidas has always been the brand & my love for it has never wavered. Whether it was running about in a pair of Samba in the school playground kicking a tennis ball, or on the grass playing football wearing a pair of Copa Mundial, or even sporting a pair of Gazelle on a Friday night for the disco. Adidas has never been far away! Having sold my collection the first time round back in 2017, you could say i have once again been bitten by the three stripe bug. In fact that would an understatement!
Amongst an army of blue boxes consisting of trainers i have also entered the world of vintage bags and bought several over the last few months. Im more than happy to show this ever growing collection in more detail if people wish.
My main focus within the Adidas brand since i began collecting again however is the Spezial range. Ever since its first drop in Oct 2014 the Spezial line has grown and grown in popularity. The brain child of Adidas Spezial is three stripe die hard Gary Aspden.
Aspden was the man behind the Adidas Spezial exhibition in Manchester in 2014. A celebration of all things adidas with over 600 pairs of collaborations, one-offs and rarities sourced from all over the world and from famous Adidas collectors. Adidas trainers from the collections of Aspden himself and other famous collectors such as Noel Gallagher, Ian Brown and Robert Brooks were used.
Ever since then the Spezial line has grown and grown with seasonal releases twice a year of both footwear and clothing. A lot of the Spezial trainer releases are a nod or tribute to previous releases over the decades. And the clothing influenced by a lot of the casual terrace wear back in the 70's, 80's or 90's. Most recently as the Spezial line has grown in popularity there have been trainer or clothing collaborations with both Liam & Noel Gallagher, New Order, and Peter Saville amongst others. Plus many, many other celebrities from the music industry, acting, or sportsmen endorsing the Spezial line. You could say it has caught on quite well over the last 9 years!
Anyway here is a video of my Adidas trainer collection this time round since i began buying again last year. I do have some regrets from selling back in 2017 but im hoping that i can somehow get some of those grails back and discover some new favourites which i never managed to get first time round. I have already began that process!

Nice collection , i like you collect the adidas spezial range and similar too you amassed about 80 pairs of the footwear but have halved that now as i wasn’t keen on some so no point me keeping them ,i just went all in buying everything i could get my hands on but ive backed off a bit now ,i also have a few of the jackets ,jumpers t-shirts etc too and most of the clothing is great quality but space is my biggest enemy long term,great video look forward to seeing more from you in the future .

It's always great to see fellow collectors. Personally speaking, I collect what catches my eye. I have got a few nice Spezial coats, including the CP Company Spezial camo jacket which I love. I am after the CP Company Barbour collaboration. Good luck with your collecting and keep us on your journey.

Can see a few cans of that waterproof spray they had in Aldi a few years back! wish i'd have bought a few remember it being dead cheap.
Yes it’s great stuff! I got it on Amazon to be honest. Can’t remember exactly how much but it wasn’t overly expensive.
Have you got or ever had any 83-C 'J.Mano' gear? Various issues 2001 to 2017. I have picked up some track tops and a windcheater rain jacket. Great video.

One of my favourite spezial jackets is the Standish and the new order sailing jacket, also the loton are my 3 favourites, but love most of them all , great collection bro , I’ve done what you’ve done with some items and sold them , and regretted it but that’s life .
Standish is a very underrated coat in my opinion. Beautiful colour. The Loton is another stunner. Blues are my favourite colours so Spzl can’t do anything wrong if they do blue coats! I’m sure you’ll be able to get back some of the things you sold if you ever want too. Things come up when you least expect it.

Thanks mate 🙏🏻 Yeah I got very lucky with that ETA. It popped up on one of the Spzl fb groups for £100 and I was in the right place at the right time. It’s a large aswell and perfect fit.

Enjoyed the video, nice jacket collection, I agree with the sizing they size up big for sure. Bold move with the trainers but it makes sense keeping what you wear 👍
Yes I just couldn’t justify keeping dozens of trainers that I wasn’t particularly fond of. Kept what I like & invested the money into more of the clothing. Still got more than enough footwear to last me a lifetime 🤦🏻♂️😂 Thanks for watching 👍🏻

Beautiful collection. What are your thoughts on the Feniscowles compared to the Wardour 1? I have the orange one but I’ve been on the fence with the green.
Thanks very much Sam! 🙌🏻 I like the Feniscowles although I have yet to wear it. I do prefer the Wardour if I’m honest. It’s a nice jacket to wear on a night out. Love the colour 👏🏻👌🏻
Love my Wardour aswell! Can’t make my mind up now for a winter jacket - either Standish, Ardwick or the new orange one!
@@samcushing3790 The Kearsley is very warm let me tell you! As warm as any Spzl coat. The Lammack is also up there. The Standish isn’t very warm more an autumn coat I would say.

Ive just done a mass clear out on my trainers the last few months....! Tryin to stick to SPZL only from now on. Its left me with around 22 pairs but its a proper solid 22 in my opinion. I have kept the odd non SPZL pair like yourself. Thinking of getting a Spezial t-shirt collection going to stop me buying odd pairs of Adidas that i buy just for the sake of it.
It’s definitely more about quality than quantity long term I agree. Are you liking any of the AW23 that have just been shown in the Newcastle Exhibition? Of the 9 footwear I’ll probably only go for 4. More than enough!
@YorkyThreeStripe the green gazelle are the stand out for me....! Going in for them , and the white pair , love an all white. Just bought the Newrad SPZL from the last drop last night , bit late to the party but love the garwens so hoping the Newrad are just as good a shoe.
@@BazMay My instant wants were the Moscrop 2, Lawkholme, Hiaven 2, & my fav of the new releases the Inverness. I’ll have another look at the Gazelle. Just not a fan of the flats as much these days. Think I overdosed on them when I was younger!

I’m going to try and get my first spezial jacket on the 15th. Do you have any advice on what to do for sizing for the upcoming moorfield jacket because the last coat I bought (a rain coat but not adidas) was XL so I was thinking of sizing down and going for a large until I saw one of the models who happened to be wearing a size large were 6’2” and 70kg. The only thing that has made me unsure on the size is the weight because I’m only an inch taller at 6’3” but around 11kg heavier. So if you could give your thoughts on what size you reckon I should go it would be greatly appreciated.

It is but once you get your head around it all it gets easier. Yes sold a good 4 dozen pairs I would say Jamie. I still have most of the Spzl shoes, & boots like Winterhills, Hiaven, & Albrecht etc.

You think so? I wouldn’t want to lose them anyway mate they hold too many memories. They are a big fit yes. I go large with the Haslingden instead of XL

Spezial is a full clothing/footwear line mate. If you mean the Adidas Spezial trainer (seperate from the Spzl range) i couldnt tell you. Never had a pair. Always safe with a pair of Gazelles though!

Not in the slightest. I like some give in my jackets. Believe me XL would drown me in most Spzl jackets! 😂 I would say 80% of my Spzl jackets are in large

They are extremely hard to find nowadays. They were released a few years ago now. I got one on release and then I saw the brand new tagged one come up on eBay a few months ago. I had to pull the trigger!
