This is called parallel wiring. I told the guy i work with that has 30 years that and he said no its series. Its a debate between us. Whats your thoughts
Receptacles are definitely connected in parallel. If they were connected in series, you would keep losing voltage every time you plug in something else if they were lights, it would keep getting dimmer and dimmer. The old Christmas tree, strand lighting were done in series.
