What a sweet pup . If my dog cooperated like that it would be easy. Love the facial expressions of the dog. Such a cutie. Learned a few things too.

I love the head wrap! My bichon always freaks out from the noise of the dryer, I will definitely try that!

Diana Gallegos they help so much, they are called Happy Hoodies and you can get them from Dog Essentials www.dogessentials.net.au/?rf=kw&kw=Happy+Hoodie+XLarge+Navy+
The high pitch noise from the dryer can upset them

Hi, my apologies. I did answer your question but it didn’t come through🫣 I clipped her body on a 3f blade and scissored her legs. If you dog is matted you may have to clip you dog shorter, to clip under the matted parts or speak to your groomer. 💗

OMG, you make it look so easy Mel but I know it isn’t. I am going to share with my groomer. What brand are your clippers?

Hi Gaynor, it’s just lots of practice . I’m using the oster 3000i clippers. They are my favourite large clipper

Thanks for an informative video Melanie I love the brush you are using. What brand is it and where can you get it? Also what is the best spray for brushing the bichon in your range? Daisy says hi to Dash and Trej 💗

Jodie McNamara Hi Daisy 💕the brush I use is this one- melanienewman.com.au/collections/grooming-products/products/artero-flexi-slicker
I like to use the relax coat conditioning spray on my Bichon. It has lavender, geranium and bergamot in it. You could also use the refresh as it’s very hydrating for skin and coat. melanienewman.com.au/collections/the-relax-collection/products/relax-coat-conditioning-spray-250-ml melanienewman.com.au/collections/the-refresh-collection/products/refresh-coat-conditioning-spray-250-ml

Those dogs are not in shelters.Guess you would have to see a responsible breeder to purchased them.

What a toturous, frightening experience for that pup. Having the shaver shave right over your eyes, having your snoot pinched, and for what? Except for the terrible discolorations on his face, and some needed mild trimming,he looked better before. Now he looks like a circus poodle. Doesn’t even look like a Bichon.

I agree! The care for safety of that dog is not there! I groomed and I would NEVER run a shaver OVER the eye area like that. Poor baby...

Gee Gee after 20 years I think they are used to it 🤣 scissors have come a long way with fatigue reducing actions and correct balance points

Way too harsh!! Especially pinching just beneath her chin.!! Not nice.

I am definitely not too harsh, you have to hold the dog and feel if the dog is going to move as we do not want to cut the dog. 💗
