I love Bichons! I currently own my second one named Gracie and we are getting our 3rd one from the same breeder come this mid January 2023. We are naming him Samuel. This was quite the transformation. We have our Gracie groomed every 6 weeks. If you own this breed, you need to make sure they are groomed regularly. God bless you for what you do!

My bichon Buster used to love going to the groomers. He bolted ahead of me into the store and ran up the back barking so that the groomer knew to open the gate for him. He was the same at the vet, lol. God, I miss that wee guy.
How old is this dog? Mine is 16 1/2 years old and has such anxiety being groomed and later that night has a seizure while sleeping. I thought she was dying. She has been groomed since she was 61/2 weeks old. The vet gave me anxiety meds and we tried grooming her at home but she looks worse now than she did. Any suggestions?
Leaving a dog with this kind of neglect should be illegal! I hope you had a word with the dogs owners. So heartbreaking to see the dogs condition. I am glad sweet pupper had you to help bring it some much need TLC!
Wenn man sie regelmäßig jeden Tag kämmt und pflegt braucht man sie so weit nicht rasieren. So viel Arbeit ist das nicht. Außerdem tut das so kurz rasieren dem Hund nicht gut.
I can see the appeal of it but when bichons shed it just gets matted into the hair and it's actually really painful for the dog, the owner was neglecting this bichon by not brushing it so the hair had to be shaved off. After a certain point you cannot brush it without causing extreme pain and stress to the dog. But I agree that the tight curl look is good and there are dog breeds where it is their natural look
How on earth can people let their dog get so matted 😡. My 16 month bichon has been going to professional groomers every two weeks since she was 4 months old and her hair is brushed every single day. If a person cant be bothered with a "high maintenance" dog, why get a bichon?? Poor dog. 😔 The owners need a good telling off! 😡
Same thing I thought! It should be illegal to do this! It’s the same as neglecting a child and there needs to be consequences for this poor treatment. I am so happy this dog could the love and attention it needed 😢❤
He was obviously very matted, I can see that from just watching the video. The owners clearly don't take care of their dog well enough to maintain a long fluffy Instagram haircut everyone always expects. You have to brush your dog every day in between groomings every 4 weeks. Can you do that?

I have two Bichon and I shave them l like this every month or else they get matted. It grows out nicely

Great groom - I encourage you to wear your face mask while trimming those dogs to stop you from breathing in all those fine hairs into your airways.
