As someone who works in the paint department of a hardware store, I know a depressing amount about white and off whites. So that video made me chuckle. As a side note it really WAS too flashy, Ian was being nice. To showcase the many off whites on display you should use more subdued tones for the transitions, ideally ones that don't make the shades look brighter or darker than the really are... Oh god, make me stop!
+drowmonk As an artist I use -ish a lot. Or -er + colour. Saves remembering things like Yellow Ochre. So you'd have white. a Yellower white. Redish white. More redish white. White with a bit of orange. 3 years at art college has paid off.
4:14 Ian: "We have this Multi Purpose Room." Cameron: "What do you use it for?" Everyone just stares at Cameron like "Really?" My favorite part of the whole episode. also, I'm glad Ian is fully established into CH. Great job as always.
I had to pause the video because I was laughing so hard. I agree, they were probably put out of business. Ever since Bear, Bear, Bear & Grrrr stole one of their name partners, Shark, Shark & Remora never came close to the haydays of Shark, Shark, Shark & Remora. You can read all about it on Bearipedia.
Wow, the most rare of sightings in the LRRniverse: the rare Ray Steacy. Glad he could sneak in an on-camera appearance this season. Also, I love how they are adding Ian to cH. Based on how he is written, James finally has someone he can relate to: a fellow professional that can get things done. Also, the writing on this episode was really good, not quite so much rampant jackassery from Beej and Alex, more targeted jackassery. I'm surprised that no one thought to tell Ian to turn down anything wrought by Beej and Alex's hands, though. All in all, I look forward to this season of cH and what they will do with it. P.S. I love that Beej can't get the blinds to work. There's something about it that's so in character about it.
Oh crap, you guys are aware that you still are copyrighting your videos in 2015, right? What with it being May of 2016, now might be a good time to change that.
so I am rewatching this in order and I just realized a brilliant piece of funny. Ian was the voice of the laughotron which chased them out of the last moonbase. and cH Ian has his first lines delivered off camera. for a split second everyone in the lunch room has this look on their face like "oh crap it followed us!" made me laugh
I was wondering whether IBS was intentional, then I heard Alex say "condolences" on my second watch through, which made it clear that "bring some fresh blood into the products of IBS" was horrifically intentional. Bravo.
As a student film maker i have to point this out. 1:05 - 1:07 bottom left hand side of the window shows the camera reflection. its hard too see but we can see the "cup holder" as james puts it. Love LRR and do this because i care.
Either your sense of humor is infecting mine (scared) or this was legit brilliant. Every damn punchline and situation. Thanks LRR, that was alot of fun.
+WilhelmScreamer If you mean the Free Candy episode, they stated in a recent LRRcast that it's supposed to be either Alex or Graham in an Ian costume responding to James.
When the music hit at “The rest of the building” I had flashbacks to “Star Lost”… a ‘fine’ Canadian produciton. And I thoroughly approve of Recumbent Walrus.
Wait... Ian appeared in the episode "Free candy". And Gorrilian appeared in "Reality". Was that Ian? Was it a clone? This canon is becoming more confusing at an exponential rate.
+Alex Sutherland They mentioned in one of the podcasts that Ian's appearance in Free Candy was to suggest they had an Ian costume along with all the other hats they were trying on in that sequence
+Alex Sutherland the canon is, that in the free candy episode, they switched costumes around while talking, and one randomly wore an ian costume. that was clarefied in one of the loading time videos.
I doubt Ian is real. Beej as the building owner would have to know his caretaker and IBS, but nobody seems to know Ian or the rest of the building. Either the door is a dimensional portal or Ian is just a ghost. Maybe laugh-a-tron has managed to get a body?
Good video. Although that cut to the last scene (where Ian falls) feels off. I think it might be slightly different Graham's posture and definitely different lighting.
Oh wow, is the first scene a set-up for an over-arching story line like in season 1? Also - if Beej owns the building and Ian comes from "the rest of the building where the bathroom is" and is a general caretaker with all the keys to everything in the building - wouldn't Beej know him? Something's very fishy about this Ian character. I wouldn't be surprised if he turns out to be a ghost. Let's see if he ever shows up outside the building...
I really love this series! But I can't get the earlier episodes on their website to work and they're not on youtube. Could you PLEASE upload them. I have no idea how Beej, Cameron or Alex get on the crew as I can only find up to season 1, episode 8. Am I the only one who has this problem?
...but, I still wanna know what Mumbling Guy™ wanted - was he a patient at the clinic that used to be in the building? Is he a former client of Shark, Shark & Remora? Does he just need another healing crystal for managing his speech impediment? Will we ever find out in a future cH episode? Is Ray queued up for a new recurring character role, or is this just a cameo?
+Jaded Empath I know that the for real owner of the house had to say no to like 3 weed dispensaries that wanted to open in that office. It had been empty for a couple of years when LRR moved there.
Sure, why not? Our dental offices unofficial moto is: Sure, we can do that. This is why our schedule can get a little to full but it cut's down on green house gas emissions from people having to drive back and forth again so it's green maybe? Anyway great use of the rest of the buildings warm color timing as a character. On a related note, what the color rendering rating of you new lights? Only something someone who stares at beige all day long would notice but the mouse dickens recumbent walrus is looking a bit green.
I feel weird doing this, but it`s so hard not to want to push hustle-cam and hustle-kathleen based on the reaction to the various tenants. sorry graham :(
Is the Dave Raccoon thing a reference to Dave's Law Firm? I forget, but I think there is one episode where Spokesman asks watchers to send raccoon's (maybe with rabies?) to Dave's Law Firm. Or I could be over-analyzing this video. Either way, great job!
I do not understand why they had to add the strange flashing and other colors to the video about Beige, It really did not need any help to be fascinating.
Love the episode but just to be that guy Ian already showed up in free candy, Either that means a plot hole, Ian has a twin brother in universe, or Paul did something off screen...
As someone who works in the paint department of a hardware store, I know a depressing amount about white and off whites. So that video made me chuckle. 3 years at art college has paid off.
It has been 7 years and in my dozen rewatches every time your comment makes me laugh❤
@@alejandrorivas4585 Glad to be of service! XD
When people at my work ask what the multipurpose room is for, I cheerfully respond "it has multiple purposes!"
I thought Beige was going to be Beej's French twin at first
You should be running the naming of their episodes good sir.
Jezus. I just realised the IBS joke. That joke has been going over my head for SIX YEARS, even though I have watched this episode many many times.
Graham's victorious fistpump into a totally calm "thank you" when Ian said he liked the video is a professional mood.
4:14
Ian: "We have this Multi Purpose Room."
Cameron: "What do you use it for?"
Everyone just stares at Cameron like "Really?"
My favorite part of the whole episode. also, I'm glad Ian is fully established into CH. Great job as always.
Welcome Ian to the CH universe - this is going to be the start of a beautiful relationship
"Shark, Shark, and Remora" is a /deep/ cut. I approve.
+Master Gunner I guess they got put out of business by Bear, Bear, Bear, and Grrr.
Feels ancient. A megoladon of a cut
+Master Gunner A reference to my favourite LRR video always wins my heart.
What video was that?
Loading Ready Run: Sure why not?....i like it ^^
+GirlPainting what are you new here? because if you are, you're in for a treat!
+GirlPainting It...yeah, it's catchy in a meta kinda way; like some of their previous slogans. "Comedy with no apologies. Sorry." for example.
Yeah, I had to rewind it back and catch that again.....so good
+GirlPainting Yeah I missed that the first time
Wow, the most rare of sightings in the LRRniverse: the rare Ray Steacy. Glad he could sneak in an on-camera appearance this season.

Oh crap, you guys are aware that you still are copyrighting your videos in 2015, right? What with it being May of 2016, now might be a good time to change that.
+Exhausted Elox This thing has been rendering for 6 months. Post-post-production is a bitch.
so I am rewatching this in order and I just realized a brilliant piece of funny. Ian was the voice of the laughotron which chased them out of the last moonbase. and cH Ian has his first lines delivered off camera. for a split second everyone in the lunch room has this look on their face like "oh crap it followed us!" made me laugh
"Not once I come into power."
This one had me in stitches. At least, I think it did. I passed out when I ate one of those cookies and woke up in some sort of operating room.
+Amaranth Was Paul there? If so then run.
Tylor Long My vision was pretty blurry. It might have been Paul, or Beaker.
This is 7yr old, the passage of time is cruel but man this has always been one of my faves.
Alex's "WELCOME!" at 3:18 will never not get me
I think their logo at the end is perfect for Loading Ready Run.
+BrotherAlpha Sure, why not?
I was wondering whether IBS was intentional, then I heard Alex say "condolences" on my second watch through, which made it clear that "bring some fresh blood into the products of IBS" was horrifically intentional. Bravo.
Also, I may need to add "meaning minimal offense" to my vocabulary.
As a student film maker i have to point this out. 1:05 - 1:07 bottom left hand side of the window shows the camera reflection. its hard too see but we can see the "cup holder" as james puts it.
Love LRR and do this because i care.
Knowing most colours are named after the pigment they are made from worries me about some of those beiges.
Kathleen and Cam were awesome in this one.
7:24 I just love Graham going on a rollercoaster of emotions right there lol
Either your sense of humor is infecting mine (scared) or this was legit brilliant. Every damn punchline and situation.
Thanks LRR, that was alot of fun.
Before it started, I half expected the title was meant as a pun for Beej.
Really love the use of motion in that b-roll for the beige video. You can tell the production value was on point.
+orangeapples the lighting effects were off though, graham should tune them to be a bit more mouse dick, it'll really bring it together.
So we finally have the missing runner.
And the official stance on Ian's previous cH appearance is "just an aberration don't worry about it" still?
+WilhelmScreamer If you mean the Free Candy episode, they stated in a recent LRRcast that it's supposed to be either Alex or Graham in an Ian costume responding to James.
+dragonbretheren so they had a very realistic costume of their future building mate?
wurmsrus It not perfect system.
+wurmsrus No. My bet is they had a Generic Casual Friday Businessman Costume. CH!Ian is just that 'beige'.
+wurmsrus Sure, Why Not?
And Ian has now been established in the Hustleverse.
Ray!
I'm really far too happy to see him but I can wait the ~2 years it will take for him to reappear.
Gotta say, "Brown Thunder" conjures up a very unusual and disturbing idea for how the paint is applied to the walls.
OMG that rest of the building shot where everyone just look out into the beige is THE BEST
I'm happy that they finally put Ian in a video
I can't wait for Kathleen's rule!
I may not be up to date on my beige. Is Sahara Whipsers the newest variation of the Sahara Whispers line?
aw man this series is great hopefully it will go on
When the music hit at “The rest of the building” I had flashbacks to “Star Lost”… a ‘fine’ Canadian produciton.
And I thoroughly approve of Recumbent Walrus.
New hustle? Don't mind if I D--IAN! WE HAVE IAN, PEOPLE!
+magicpokey And Ray! That's the more surprising thing.
+Ian Dunbar Indeed. Maybe one day we will get to find out what he was saying.
I hope that the team include any little humans they have produced since the last season of commodoreHustle in one of the videos,
"Holy s**t those people exist....
Oh not when I come into power."
One of the best things I've heard!
This was SO GOOD. Thanks team!
One and a half years later: Eighteen, James. Eighteen businesses.
Graham's look of despair is brilliant!
I'm somewhat disturbed with myself for enjoying that promo reel as much as I did.
+GreyRabbitMedia
Enough to go taupe?
+R3Testa Whoa! Let's not go CRAZY here...
3:57 LRR predicted working from home. IBS was ahead of the curve.
Someone mentioned beige being a terrible color and I remembered this video. Iconic.
That's some clairvoyant foreshadowing, I guess now lrr is the 18th company to leave that venue
With the evil mustache Ian has been sporting in Feed Dump, I'm guessing that his cH character will become the villain of this season.
"Shark, Shark and Remora"
Now THAT'S a callback.
the most important question is: When does Penelope get her spot in the intro?
The worst thing is there actually is a company called IBS, it's a Xerox subsidiary based in Ireland. I walked past it the other day and laughed.
Wow, Ian's first official CH :D
I love Kathleen's lines of darkness.
I'm sorry to say it took 3 viewings to get the "Sure, Why not?" joke. I'm not sorry I got to watch this three additional times.
Love it! Great episode.
+Alex Sutherland It's not Ian. It's really Beej.
+N1GHTH4WK986 Isn't everyone?
I doubt Ian is real. Beej as the building owner would have to know his caretaker and IBS, but nobody seems to know Ian or the rest of the building. Either the door is a dimensional portal or Ian is just a ghost. Maybe laugh-a-tron has managed to get a body?
The irony of talking about putting up a sign to get attention, when you blur out the street signs out the front of your office. :D
If you look in the reflection of Ian's glasses, he is looking at the camera. It's obvious, but the reflection makes it somewhat funny
I like Paul's Plague Knight shirt. It is the most fabulous
Shark, Shark and Remora is a joke I'm gonna need explained to me.
It feels strange watching the Loading time of this before actually watching this
And once more, the LRR crew does the Hustle.
I need one of those cookies, watching this at 1.30 when I need to be up for 7 for work.
I actually died at the "Top class editing techniques"
Anyone else, just for a moment, think the title said "Beej"?
I like to think there's a company out there called "My Sign Guy."
For a moment I thought I was watching an old video because Mr. Magnificent Creature reminded me strongly of a young beardless Graham.
pffftt (dies laughin)
... Sorry, I just got the "putting some fresh blood into the products of IBS" line.
I came down here to make this exact comment. Sometimes you miss the real gems on the first watch!
So what happens when Ian wanders into the wardrobe room and finds the Ian costume?
Good video. Although that cut to the last scene (where Ian falls) feels off. I think it might be slightly different Graham's posture and definitely different lighting.
RACOON!
i lost it at the slide show guys. did not see that coming.
The telecommute line has aged well
Beige. It's some amount of the future.... Probably.
I have expect Ian's character to become or be some sort of psycho serial killer.
Someone just reminded me CVS Bangers exists....you're welcome, workplace!
I love commodore hustle there should be more
That evil smile of Kathleen, love it
I really love this series! But I can't get the earlier episodes on their website to work and they're not on youtube. Could you PLEASE upload them. I have no idea how Beej, Cameron or Alex get on the crew as I can only find up to season 1, episode 8. Am I the only one who has this problem?

Does he just need another healing crystal for managing his speech impediment? Will we ever find out in a future cH episode? Is Ray queued up for a new recurring character role, or is this just a cameo?
+Matt Andre That's possible too, but isn't MB Delta in a different locale than Gamma, which had three or four dispensaries surrounding it?
+Jaded Empath I know that the for real owner of the house had to say no to like 3 weed dispensaries that wanted to open in that office. It had been empty for a couple of years when LRR moved there.
Sure, why not?
Our dental offices unofficial moto is: Sure, we can do that.

Anyway great use of the rest of the buildings warm color timing as a character. On a related note, what the color rendering rating of you new lights? Only something someone who stares at beige all day long would notice but the mouse dickens recumbent walrus is looking a bit green.
I didn't realize Ian hadn't already been written into cH! 😮
.... 18 businesses now. Also, that bears deep cut tho.
Recumbent Walrus
Mortal eyes beholding truth
Weep at such beauty
First episode fearuring Ian.
Proceeds to kill him off.
Genius. Pure genius.
+Camden Paolucci well actually they knocked him out with drugged cookies as Graham had one as well
+TeagleBell ...and Alex, too.
+TeagleBell Actually, I kinda like the idea of killing him off and constantly bringing him back as different characters.
I thought the title was beej at first so I was confused
Im beej
+pugler20 wow cool
+pugler20 No, I'm Beej!
i did to
There's enough of him.
Honestly, this was my favourite CH in a VERY long time. I love what you did with Ian, also are you getting better at acting?
o was wondering how they were going to incorporate Ian in this
You can tell cam and Kathleen play blue
LRR invented the Backrooms before Kanepixels.
Brown thunder is the name of my melodic death metal band...
The saddest thing is that beige is the color of my fursona's fur.
Yes, I understand that makes my icon confusing.
I feel weird doing this, but it`s so hard not to want to push hustle-cam and hustle-kathleen based on the reaction to the various tenants. sorry graham :(
So this is Ian's former introduction into the this universe? So his other appearances were just cameos and what not?
Is the Dave Raccoon thing a reference to Dave's Law Firm? I forget, but I think there is one episode where Spokesman asks watchers to send raccoon's (maybe with rabies?) to Dave's Law Firm. Or I could be over-analyzing this video. Either way, great job!
CHustle Ian appears to be a Wes Anderson character.
My actual face after seeing that new CH was out- :D
this was perfect.
I do not understand why they had to add the strange flashing and other colors to the video about Beige, It really did not need any help to be fascinating.
I kinda want to know if A) this is actually how they met Ian, and B) was beej's trouble with the blinds scripted
Love the episode but just to be that guy Ian already showed up in free candy, Either that means a plot hole, Ian has a twin brother in universe, or Paul did something off screen...
They've said that particular Ian was supposed to be an Ian Costume not the real thing.
"fresh blood in the product of IBS" lol
Sahara Whipsers? Sure, why not?
