My 1st E Mt bike is this bike, and with 1100 miles on it Ive been very happy with it, being a trailbike it pretty much works good everywhere with out being specialized for any one thing. The suspension isnt the top dollar stuff, but Ive been amazed how well it works with the right set up. Its plush and controlled on rocks of which we have a lot of around here. I was all ready to do some mods and really trick it out, but it works as delivered really well. I may get a kit and turn the forks into 160 travel, but there's no hurry. The 900WH battery is great, Ive done some 60 mile rides and it does it easy. Normal rides there just no worry about saving battery life. Friends admit to battery envy. I already had a Canyon Endurace Road bike, and love it. So it was a no brainer ordering a Spectral ON CF8.
I have 200+ miles on my CF-8 now and it is amazing and climbs great. Small frame and I am 135lbs so it is a monster even in ECO! Paid $4599 for it and it hasn't disappointed me yet.
@@Arkane117 CF-8!....I watched it in my cart for 2 days and it went on sale! It went back to full price less than 2 days later so I was lucky to jump on it!
CF8 is my first emtb-have been riding a Ibis Ripmo for past 2 years. I was afraid I would lose agilility and playfulness but that hasn’t been the case. It can rail corners but also pop off features nicely for a heavy bike. Fox Rythm 36 is a decent fork for this price point but a stiffer Fox 38 would make this thing a total sled. The Ripmo was a great bike but this one has me smiling on the downhills and uphills.
I got the same one during the last trail sale with a 1000 eur discount 🤩. Couldn't resist as I found it to be an insane deal. I chose the size M (I'm 182) as the reach numbers are bigger like you said compared to last year. It was either an orbea Rise h15 but found out that the weight on that one is not so far off this one when you ride with the range extender. So great bike for a great price... IT RIPS 😎
I almost bought the CF-9 a couple of weeks back, but went for the Whistle B-Rush C8.2 similar specs for similar money. Comes with New Bosch smart system and of course full Carbon the the Canyon. It would be great to see you do a review on it one day, as there are not many out there in English. My decision in the end came down to local shop support and warranty.
I am 1.76m and 77cm inseam... What size are you using here. A large? I was recommended a small. I had a small canyon exceed hardtail MTB an it felt perfect size
I'm of a similar height and inseam, give or take a centimetre or two and I only ride large bikes. I've owned a medium Canyon Spectral but have since gone large on that too.
Yeah, it makes up for weight but it also adds a level of agility and 'playfullness' that a 29in wheel won't offer. It also gives you a load of space over the rear wheel for when things get extra steep.
Just a observation: Bike catalogs, need to stop showcasing bikes with a white background. The color, is completely opposite of what a customer sees when it arrives. UA-cam, is a little better, as long as channel owners don't over/under saturate the video during editing.
The current Shimano EP801 outputs 600 watts at peak with 250 watts nominal, which is fairly common knowledge given how long the motor's been on the market, and how easy it is to Google. But have some respect before you go asking questions.
If it could be bought with 27.5 wheels in size M, I would buy it right away, and like this with a 29 front wheel, there is no way for me to buy any brand of bicycle with 29 wheel size. You must be at least 185 cm tall and have a bike shoulder size of at least L to fit into the size of the 29 wheels, everything below looks funny, like a child sitting on it.
I purchased the spectral on cf8 about 3 weeks ago, but the accessories show it comes with 2 batteries, a 750wh, and a 900 wh battery, but the 900 is missing. I've tried contacting Canyon, but I got a call center in India don't speak English so they don't understand my problem. I also have a YT Decoy and I like dealing with YT better. You actually talk to someone who speaks English, and they're easier to deal with besides they make a great bike.😢
Do your research the latest deal is you get 2 batteries it's even listed on my app under accessories included. It could be an american thing only, but I assure you it's supposed to come with both batteries.
Right? I accidentally bought an electric drill the other day and had to return it for a speed handle. We also messed up and cooked our dinner on an electric stove and quickly switched to the wood fire outside! We are getting the lightbulbs in our home removed in favor of oil lanterns next week 👍🏻

That’s set up I want! An Endurace and a Spectral! If you had to pick one to buy first what would you do 😂
I ordered this and it should arrive in a few days.. I am super stoked on your review ;)

Where did you paid only 4599? On the site it's 1000$ more
I have the same question as the commenter above me. Are you sure it’s not a CF7?

Sounds like you made a great choice. Glad you're enjoying the Spectral:ON!

What’s that fender in the front??
That's an RRP ProGuard Mini Bolt-On. Here's our review - off.road.cc/content/review/rapid-racer-products-proguard-mini-bolt-on-mudguard-review-12089
i wish they didn’t sell it only as a mullet but i guess it’s a great way to make up for the weight

Hello, what is you size and inseam ? 1.83m and I am lost with sizing :’)
If I remember correctly I'm 77cm inseam and a bit shorter than you. I wouldn't want to go any smaller than the large tested here.
@@offroadccI have the same inseam and usually ride a medium. Should I size up to a large and why? Thanks

I don't need an ebike to go fast down hill.
Shut up
So how many watts does the motor have num nuts? Is 750 watt motor, 1000 watt motor, 720 watt motor? 🙈🙉🙊🐵

It doesnt work like that at all in real life. 29" wheels are what rolls over rocks the best, so there they are on a whole lot of bikes.

Hi. Only one battery is included in the asking price, the 750Wh. The 900Wh is a £350 extra.

@@douglasdimwitty-zs9gx The US site says nothing about two batteries included.
