One of my all time favorite bands. I actually got too see Richard Ashcroft perform at a tiny now defunct venue in Hollywood, CA 2002. One of my most prize photos is of him holding an acoustic guitar in the air. I was front row center!
we was robbed of the verve, should of had more time together. I agree that some of Richards solo stuff is terrible, there is some gems in it too. Oasis not a patch on the verve musically. Ashcroft the best British song writer since Lennon, Elvis Costello is a good shout too. Oasis do have some tunes but the verve is soul music man . beer man's music Oasis
@@BDImaniac maybe but I really do think the verve where out there on their own, I seen the verve 3 or 4 times I've got to say they blew the competition away if you like, awesome ✌️
@@ewanleaper1493 tbh that's an unfair comparation. There's no many good guitarists after McCabe, let alone as good as he was. Noel Gallagher's songwriting, and Liam's singing style were the selling point in Oasis. McCabe is a probably the best guitar player of the last 50 years. But he wasn't a songwriter. Now, Richard Ashcroft is, and as good as he is, he's still not as good as Noel Gallagher.
He had no choice mate, he was contracted to do 3 solo albums with his record company. I can't fucking wait for The Verve to reform ( again ) and put out some full-on rock again.
is it me or this song slightly has a led zeppelin vibe to it? the whole beat and especially with the way richard sings "somethings going wrong inside my mind, oh, oh, oh" sounds very robert plantish
jorge luis villarreal easy. Follow to he's instructions 1. Go to Google 2. Type in the search bar "I like to fist goats" 3. Click on the link and enjoy. ...You're welcome
Can't believe Ashcroft split them up again to go and produce the trash that was his last album. McCabe, Jones and Salesbury should of been given the opportunity to guide the bands musical direction more, they were the real talents in the band, particularly McCabe
@richgorman26 You're insane. If you can't tell the difference in quality and artistry between The Verve and his solo stuff, you're really lacking in discernment. "The United Nations Of Sound" is tragic and hilarious...the music is so bad and phony that my jaw dropped when I first heard one of their songs. It's like all he can do is be a bad carbon copy of himself from fifteen years ago. He no longer feels it, he just regurgitates stuff that he assumes sounds good enough that people will buy it.
@richgorman26 I don't enjoy shite music. There's too much AMAZING music in the world to waste time listening to crap. And pretty much 75% of what Richard Ashcroft has done since 1997 is definitely on the "crap" side of things. Some is just a little bit crap, some is VERY, VERY crap indeed. Hahaha. :)
This great song was bringing back the classic Verve

The drummer is amazing too
God give me some light . Give me some Life .. Thanks Richard for saving us 🙏💛
Cool as funk. Even a Zane Lowe intro couldn't ruin this.
Absolutely epic !!!!
listen your musics always make me bring the life.... keep the life... enjoy life. I love you!!!
Ashcroft & Mccabe most underrated duo in a band, how could Richard hog all the credit for his work with the verve!
agree Mccabe is one of rocks MOST underated guitarists the man is amazing!
Well, he wrote most of their material. McCabe is credited on the songs he actually wrote something.
somethings going on inside my mind baby oh oh oh
somethings going on inside my head baby oh oh oh......... quality
It's not often seen but Ashcroft is amazing just behind a mic.
Ahhhh, bliss, I will forever love them. X
i love how he goes from 0-100 in a split second at 1:07
what are you talking about? is one of the best songs in the new album.

This is an amazing song! I'm learning to like The Verve, they have some of Oasis in their songs and Oasis is my favorite band.
Do you mean oasis have some of the verve
@@arcamead1 The both have the best of The Stone Roses
@@BDImaniac maybe but I really do think the verve where out there on their own, I seen the verve 3 or 4 times I've got to say they blew the competition away if you like, awesome ✌️
Are you joking? Nick McCabe has more talent in his pinky than all the Oasis guitarist combined, there is no comparison to be made
