The Fallenfluh Chänzeli is a beautiful spot known for its steep cliffs and amazing views. It is located in Illgau, in kanton of Schwyz.
Fallenfluh Chänzeli sits at about 1320 meters offering visitors a chance to look down over the Muota Valley but also to see three lakes, Vierwaldstättersee (Lake Luzerne), Lauerzersee (Lake Lauerz) and Zugersee (Lake Zug). From the view point it is also possible to see two mountains, the Grosser Mythen and Rigi Hochflue.
The name Fallenfluh Chänzeli comes from Swiss German:
"Fluh" means cliff or rock face and "Fallen" refers to falling or steepness, so it roughly translates to "steep cliff" or "falling rock face".
"Chänzeli" means small balcony or viewpoint.
