  • “I had so many conversations with Netanyahu about he need for Israel to embrace, in the future, a two state solution.”
    Lord Hague says a “wider vision of peace for Israel” must include peace with Palestinians, something missing from Netanyahu’s remarks.

      It's not OK because of the stolen land of Palestinians . I guess if neanderthals come back ( with their ' right of return ' ) and want your place it would be alright .

      Because the people of palestine can trace their ancestory back to that land for thousands of years. Not to syria, jordan etc. Just admit you support ethnic cleansing.

    I can't see how Gaza can continue to exist. The place isn't good for the people inside of it and it isn't good for the people on the outside of it.

      It's only bad to be in Gaza because of the far right religious nut bags in Israels government.

    No point in talking about the PLO leaders who are only holding onto power because they haven't had an election for 16 years, the moment they will have elections the people will vote for Hamas again and the West bank will become Gaza 2.0.

      Maybe israel should actually engage with the palestinian moderates to bring about a two state solution. Extremism is flourishing because negotiation have brought nothing and its all part of netenyahu's plan

  • @NoamGub

    There have been rockets falling on Israel for nearly a year with barely a response? Now you are concerned the response might be too harsh? That they didn't give diplomatic negotiations a chance? After 2006 the UNFil and the Lebanese Army were supposed to guarantee this would not happen per UN Resolution 1701, clearly either they are incapable or lack the desire or were not provided the means to do so? The only other 3rd parties that might have been capable i think are either the French or Americans, but I totally understand them not wanting to get involved. So what is Israel to do? The same can be said about Gaza israel left Gaza in 2005.
    I think the only legitimate criticism of Israel is regarding the Westbank. expansion of settlements there is wrong it undermines future potential for peace and yes you could say Palestinians in the Westbank are suffering from Apartheid like conditions, but not the 20% minority in Israel, its a very important distinction that often maliciously gets obscured.

    • @fumaninjaknownoequal
      @fumaninjaknownoequal 2 години тому +1

      I see UN resolutions are important to you when they help Israel.. But when Israel the country with the most UN resolutions against it 140 Vs the rest of the world which is 68... That doesn't matter..smh

    • @ralphhebgen7067
      @ralphhebgen7067 58 хвилин тому +1

      Pretty much agree - especially that Israel’s policy in the West Bank is misguided.

    • @NoamGub
      @NoamGub 35 хвилин тому

      @fumaninjaknownoequal That just raises more questions than it answers.
      First of all, how many resolutions has Israel actually violated and how egregiously?
      Second, if we compared all resolutions and the amount of death or degree of suffering in each conflict since the UN was established and started passing resolutions, I wouldn't be surprised if one might conclude that the UN is focusing focus its efforts in the right areas and isn't being very efficient at least not when ot comes to conflict management. I wonder if someone has done a thorough study, I will have to check.
      Im not implying the UN is usless. I do think we need a place for international cooperation it has organizations like the WHO and ILO, which are pretty good.

      Even though the odds are heavily in Israels favor I would be very careful not underestimate Iran. However the 3 most questions are as follows:
      *At what cost?
      *What is the end game and how do we ensure the desired result?
      *Are there any better alternatives?
      And just to be clear i do think the Iran government is a tyrannical oppressive regime that is responsible for great harm and suffering across the middle east and in its own boarders.

    So you should have gone into the tunnels in Gaza and rescued the hostages 😂so Israel would not have to go this route 😊sitting away from danger and being opinionated does not help the hostages. At least others are putting their lives at risk to bring innocent people to their families and homes. Have a heart for hostages in tunnels never seeing the sun for so many months, babies 😢and elderly 😢go home. At least you can!!!

    It actually looks more and more like Iran and their proxies made a huge miscalculation last year. Thinking that because Israel had internal divisions, they were weak. Not understanding that when it comes to security, Israelis are strong, determined and united. Now both Hamas and Hezbollah are reeling. And Iran isn't looking too good itself. If somehow that regime can fall, at least there will be a little consolation for the terrible massacre on Oct 7.

    As an American, its silly to think that a change in president will change anything. Harris i can't imagine materially punishing Israel, which is likely what it would take. And Trump will support the current action probably

      Trump may escalate the conflict by attacking Iran. He already took out a top Iranian general during his time as president. And I doubt the threats on his life from the Iranian leader will be taken lightly.

    “Netanyahu has openly declared his intention to attack anyone he feels threatened, and Israel can reach them. Iran has two options: submit or fight; there’s no substitute!”, nice analysis: Iran is preparing, says William Hague.
