Why do they not feel responsible for finding out how it is pronounced in Ukraine? Can anyone answer why it is ok for Israel to have a buffer zone but not for Russia to have the buffer of Ukraine from NATO? ,how are we going to beat Russia? It not gonna happen on the battlefield! So does that mean we want to get in the game of firing missles at each other? It would have saved so many lives if Ukraine didn't push to join NATO. By liberating Makeyevka, Russian forces drove Ukrainian troops out of the last major settlement in the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR) that Kiev controlled, Makeyevka was the last major settlement in the LPR held by Ukrainian troops. Now, it’s safe to say that almost all of the LPR has been liberated and Ukrainian militants' control less than one percent of its territory. A small piece of land in the Svatovo and Kremennaya area remained under Ukraine’s control. However, judging by how things are going along the line of engagement, the full liberation of the LPR is not too far away.

Russian troops have entered the embattled town of Vuhledar in Donetsk Oblast, Governor Vadym Filashkin said on Oct. 1, adding that fighting is ongoing.
Speaking on national television, Filashkin described the situation as "extremely difficult," adding: "The enemy has already almost reached the center of the town."
"The fighting is going on within the town, so it is almost impossible to bring in humanitarian aid."
A total of 107 civilians remains in Vuhledar, though all children have been evacuated, he added.
Ukraine's 72nd Mechanized Brigade has defended Vuhledar for nearly two years, as Russian forces have been trying to capture the town since the start of the full-scale invasion in 2022.
On Sept. 26, the brigade refuted reports that it was retreating and released a video from the town.
According to the crowd-sourced monitoring website DeepState on Oct. 1, Russian soldiers entered Vuhledar from the west and south.
In recent days, Russian forces advanced northeast of Vuhledar and on the western outskirts of the town, the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) reported on Sept. 30, citing geolocated footage.
The front-line town lies about 50 kilometers (30 miles) southwest of occupied Donetsk and roughly 40 kilometers (25 miles) east of the administrative border with Zaporizhzhia Oblast.
Vuhledar has withstood numerous attacks since the outbreak of the full-scale war in 2022 and has become key to Ukrainian defenses in the southern part of Donetsk Oblast.
"Potentially (its loss could) threaten the security of the entire southwestern portion of Donetsk Oblast not yet occupied," Federico Borsari, a fellow at the Center for European Policy Analysis (CEPA), told the Kyiv Independent earlier in September.
Vuhledar is located north of a key intersection connecting the O-0532 road towards Vodiane and Kostiantynivka, a small, paved road toward Kurakhove, and the partly occupied T-0509 highway toward Velyka Novosilka.
Vuhledar is also the last fortified town before the village of Velyka Novosilka and the entire southern part of Donetsk Oblast that Ukraine controls.

Ukraine is now probably nuclear armed. For the last three years, Russia has claimed it can’t be touched because Putin has nuclear weapons and Ukraine doesn’t. However:
    - Ukraine has successfully sent missiles/drones with large conventional weapons warheads and precisely targeted supposedly well defended munitions stores.
    - Ukraine has one of the largest atomic energy sectors in the world.
    - Ukraine’s nuclear scientists trained in the USSR and in some cases designed and manufactured Soviet nuclear warheads.
    - Ukraine mined and processed most of the weapons grade Urainium for the USSR (Zhovti Vody, Kirovograd and Dnipropetrovsk.)
    - The two main Soviet industrial sites for uranium milling were/are in Ukraine (Zhovti Vody and Dniprodzerzhinsk).
Ukrainians …. faced with Putin rattling his nukes for 3 years …. won’t have sat on their laurels. Ukraine has the resources, knowledge and material to construct atomic weapons. What they’ve lacked is a delivery vehicle. The attacks on missiles bases demonstrates they now unequivocally have that capability.
If Ukraine is close to becoming (or already is) a nuclear capable power, they almost certainly won’t announce it. They’ll adopt the same policy as Israel - nuclear ambiguity - neither confirming or denying their capability. However all of the parties around the negotiating table will now be very aware that Ukraine probably has a nuclear arsenal.
Addressing myself specifically to the Russian trolls here. How do you think ordinary Russians on the streets of Moscow, St Petersburg and Novgorod will respond as awareness that Ukraine almost certainly has a substantial nuclear arsenal becomes better known?
