      @@Beardman56 Same. Doesn't make any sense to me to release a flagship model and not put it in stores. They finally have them on Amazon, but I'm not sure if the seller on there is legit. I just ordered it from their site.

    there are a few things that would make this light much much better in my opinion. 1002 lumens is pretty nice but its cost of battery life is far too much at 5.75h. this light was designed or at least marketed for battery life after all, it really needs a 400+ lumen 24+ hour setting instead. additionally there at least needs to be something like a general 2 setting that flips the mode order to eco low high. you have to press the head against your body to keep from going blind stepping down from 1002 lumens to 128 and definitely down to 18. if the order could reverse it would fit in better to what it was designed for (which is what i bought it for), as is high is more of a nuisance. the 625 lumens AT 16h of life from other mags is really a bare minimum. i do really like it but it missed the home run.

      You can get rechargeable batteries. Eneloops and D size converters, or rechargeable Ds for more capacity.

      @@nonjaninja4904 nope. I use Duracell procells. They are charged higher than 1.5v (1.6ish I think, I forget) and have 17,000 mah which is calculated at a higher draw than regular d cells. The most I see from rechargeables is bad reviews, 1.2 volts, and 10,000 mah.

    dont waste money on this underperformance but expensive price tags product... my banggood $50 sofirn sp70 also can make 5500 lumens... and the runtime also is more than that maglite if run it on medium mode that is 2000lumens and can light up to 600meter clearly.. it runs on two 26550 battery that can be recharge.

      @Go Young I have no choice where most smartphone tech is made. No matter what brand I buy, China makes it.
      However, I have a choice where flashlights are made. I can get a cheap off-brand Chinese made flashlight that looks like a MagLite, or I can get an American-made flashlight that will likely last longer and have a 2 week battery life.
      I have a Maglite from 20 years ago I STILL use. The only thing I had to change was the bulb because it's not an LED flashlight.

    They need to innovate, they are behind in technology and build quality. Plus in cost, it doesn't provide batterys. Lastly they ramp down the light output with telling you how long the run modes will last.
    Maglite, I have many of your product and I'm from England so it costs even more to purchase them here.
    But unless you step up you will go bankrupt and fade away.

      A lot of truth here. Out of curiosity have you had any luck upgrading yours with third party LEDs and batteries?

    • @TheCoomer
      @TheCoomer 4 роки тому +2

      @@dutchman55 Oh yes, Maglite was the torch that got me into collecting and recommending them. For instance, all my torch that I use for long term emergencies are maglite. I have the Ml300's, the 3c's 4c' and 6's all converted. However, 250 lumens from the 6d is good, but with that much battery life available It would be great if it were 1000lm. However Maglite in their new models offer this but it steps down very quickly. Which is not advertised.
      I want maglite to be better, they can be with small improvements but they are loosing the market because of lack of innovation.
      Eg Why not make maglite with lithium options link 18650, even 21700 batterys in the same design
