SINGAPORE - Rail operator SMRT Corp has been fined $5.4 million for the massive breakdown that crippled both the North-South and East-West lines on July 7 2015. (So definitely no sweeping under carpet as LTA will fined)
When service level is hit and operators get fined, why don't commuters get a rebate from the fine? After all, we are the ones who are affected. Similarly for telcos. When there is service outage, why are telco users not receiving a rebate from the fine?
Did anyone tried to compare Singapore with Switzerland? Please lah.... Singapore is successful not because the people are fantastic or super clever. Singapore is successful only bcos neighbouring countries are run by incompetent governments.
