Well thought out, with concise reasoning. I'm so thankful you actually EXPLAIN what you are doing why and how in your vids (unlike many others), Great job as always keep it up bro
Glad it helps! Nope, haven’t finished it yet. I’ve been doing lots of side quests, but I think I’m about halfway through the main story. Making videos cuts into my playtime :)
The first skill I picked up was actually the extra silent strike damage! I realized that at default you can’t one shot machines like burrowers, so I bought that one to give me an easier, stealthier time
@Plusle Playz, I’m also curious what difficulty you’re on. Seems like you can take down a burrowed with a single silent strike on normal and hard. So you must be on VH? Either way, grabbing Silent Strike+ early is definitely a good move!
Arktix, your videos are SO high quality I was honestly blown away when you said you had 100 subs. I just checked and you're now at 88k. You deserve even more recognition my man, your videos are top notch
Hey thanks a lot! Glad you're enjoying my videos. I actually have a much newer skills video than this one if you're interested that walks through the first 50 skill points. Hope you're enjoying the game! Oh and feel free to come join my discord server if you have questions or just want to chat. The link is in all my video descriptions 🙂
@@ArktixOfficial thanks, I've just started burning shores and already lv 60 so I've got almost all skills allocated now. Bileguts are awesome! I can't wait to start NG+ UH immediately after finishing 😂 ps thanks for recommending shredder gauntlets, I can't stop using the Ancestor's Return now. It's so much fun
Ty bro. Subbed and liked. I bought the game 1 week ago, a few days after I bought ps5 digital with Ragnarok bundle, then a leak of this game being free in PS extra almost blew my mind. Luckely I didn't played the game so I asked for a refund (game was on 30$ sale) , put extra 10$ and upgraded from ps essential to extra, profit. Thanks for the video, well done
I think propelled spike and splitting spike is also a must because...... you know but even if you missed some really good skills it's fine though because you can't rate like 20 skills or it will be a 45 minute video. But this is a really good guide so i give you a lot of credit and i mean a lot really thank you
Thanks AJ! Yeah the spike thrower weapon techniques are definitely good to have! I’ve been thinking I want to go back and do an updated skills guide at some point now that some adjustments have been made from patches and I have more experience in-game. So many videos to make though…that one will probably have to wait lol
Thanks for your awesome videos. I've accidentally sold my bigger boom spike thrower and can't get it back from the merchant because I used the whisper bow shard harvesting glitch and the buy back stack is now full of whisper bows. How can I get it back please?
I dont understand why youre going into this as a melee hunter?? You can power up your bow hits with infiltrator and basically kill everything from hiding in the grass. Rost taught us to use our heads and not our might. But to each their own.
@Manny Robles You have a fair point. However, remember these are just the first 6 skills I recommend. I know it looks like I’m going really heavy into melee, but that’s mainly because I think it’s important to get the melee damage skill early. You’re right that getting a few of the infiltrator skills let you deal a lot more damage while hiding, but the reality is you aren’t going to be able to stealth kill everything (at least most players aren’t). At some point machines are almost definitely going to notice you and then you have to fight them head on. My theory here is that, in the very early game, those head on fights are much easier if you have the melee damage skill to boost your spear damage. You’ll see in my next skills video that I start to prioritize infiltrator skills, as you said. But also like you said, there’s any number of ways to play and you can build out your skills to fit your play style.
@@ArktixOfficial haven't fought anything head on unless it's related to story such as a cauldron or other parts which I won't spoil. But by the time I got to that first forced fight out of cover I had already had decent equipment. You can get maxed out weapons pretty early on which surprised me. I will give you that the Valor in the Melee section is very useful. Also I concur in medicine and concentration at the beginning. But I think getting the 3 arrows a must have skill to start with. So I went that route first then into infiltration.
@@ArktixOfficial also the infiltrator valor at level 3 makes it easier to finish the hunter challenges on the minimum time to get max rewards still haven't heard anyone comment on that
Yes that’s a good point on infiltrator VS being useful in hunting grounds. And I agree with you that triple arrows is very important from the hunter branch along with many infiltrator skills. I definitely prioritize those in the next set of skills I recommend. Seems like you’re good at playing tactically, so I see why you prioritized infiltrator skills over melee. Like we’re saying, people can play different ways. I’m guessing I’m a little more “run and gun” than you are :) But I’ve definitely been utilizing infiltrator skills heavily as I’ve progressed through the game. If there’s one branch that’s a bit OP I’d say it’s infiltrator.
@@ArktixOfficial yeah, I thank God I usually play like this since it's the best way to farm for items required for upgrading. I basically get all my parts from one single robot when you need more than one piece for an upgrade. But man getting the tusks from the mouth of the maw bots man that one was fun since I had to improvise. And I'm also go "run and gun" also, that's the real way to take on a Thunderjaw Lol
By the 6th hour of my first game through I Alrd had most of the hunter skill tree and a good chunk of the infiltrator tree and the first three off the medicine one. Fastest way is to do the side quest I’m level 13 and I had enough to do all that
Well thought out, with concise reasoning. I'm so thankful you actually EXPLAIN what you are doing why and how in your vids (unlike many others), Great job as always keep it up bro
Thanks! It’s definitely my goal to explain and make these useful, so I’m glad you think they are!
Thanks again. Despite mastering the last game, the devs got me feeling overwhelmed. This helps. Have you finished the game yet?

overwhelmed 😂😂😂 typical for millennials

I've had no problem stealth one-shotting the burrowers and scroungers so far without it, but noted. Are you playing on the hard setting?

Ok gotcha. I’ve got it on VH as well. Just wanted to see if there was some other mechanic at play.

The melee combos are a real pain
Yeah I agree they aren’t great
somebody said it probably already, but if you dont like the chosen skills you can reset your skill points and choose again. how cool is that?
Yes! They added that in an update in June. Unfortunately, that wasn’t an option when I made these videos.
Let’s go !
Does melee damage boost skill works on silent strike too?
Like you style sir
Thank you!

Thanks! Glad you like them 😁 Which spike thrower are you trying to get exactly? The prototype that you got from the sisters in Chainscrape?
Why the heck does the skill tree zoom in so much?
Anyone figure out how to turn down all the sun glares?
