Also great to get the front lawn going for the season with some important granular applications 3 weeks pre reno!

“Been here since we moved in” sureeee 😜
😂
Lawns looking great Nick (and so is the fence).
Is it worth asking ole mate next door if you can paint the shed wall facing your side the same colour as fence. Looks like it is right on the boundary.
They can’t see it. 🤷♂️
Haha yeah they'd never know!!
Fence looks way better, never noticed the overspray until you pointed it out.
Now you can never unsee it haha
The lawn looked great all winter Nick. I think the fact you left it a little longer helped and I think the pigment you applied in late Autumn helped a lot too. Now it's looking really healthy. What's your renovation going to consist of? I don't think it needs to be as heavy as last year's renovation.
Thanks mate definitely held up nicely!! And I agree it doesn't really need a full reno... I'll be doing one though haha
I would have loved to have seen you film this today with your hangover
Man, no one would have wanted to see that haha
My lawn definitely ready for renos down on the Mornington peninsula I have to cut my lawn twice a week growing to fast
Weather is still way way too cold mate. You want a combination of 32degrees plus between the lows and highs. We are sitting at a combination of 25 degrees or so for the next week
Crazy man I'm nowhere near that! Just mowing frequently for stripes haha
@lawnsingoodnick4834 I put down some noculate that woke it up pretty sure
@@shadowsalc1706 I wouldn't be renovating it until October with the weather we are having...I'm on the peninsula as well and it's miserable 🤣 far too cold
I didn’t look at my bags properly and I applied proliferate rather than the dominate granular two weekends ago. Is that going to have an impact on promoting growth especially with an average temp of 14-15 since it was applied? Should I apply dominate (if so when) or leave it and just update with liquid fert which I plan on starting in a few weeks? Cheers
I'd just leave it now for sure mate. Little less growth because of less Nitrogen but that's fine! Just kick into gear with the liquid ferts
Rainfall has been really bad this year for me, it’s been quite dry this winter in my area.
I suspect we might see water restrictions come back in the next few years if this keeps up.
Yeah mate unfortunately we're always getting closer to that next drought
G'day Nick, lawn looks great! I have some instant release fert I want to get out of the shed, would it be ok to use during reno or better off using it throughout summer and sticking with slow release for the reno?
Thanks mate! Quick release for quicker recovery is what I would do!
@@lawnsingoodnick4834 cheers
Mate you’re better off getting yourself a 1L measuring jug from Bunnings and scooping out your granulars with the jug to exact 1L/1KG out at a time, rather than measuring on a scale with a bucket, etc. Do u plan on going super hard with the reno this year or a light one?
Meh, works for me :) I'll do a full reno this spring mate
@@lawnsingoodnick4834 is there any particular reason you do a full renovation every single year? It’s a massive job on your 500sqm land dethatch scalp sand etc? I suppose u get to enjoy the recovery process with your fancy irrigation now :) but any reason why u do it year in year out, would a low mow every odd year not suffice to reset the lawn?
The thatch never stops coming and I've still got work to do on my levels and drainage
@@lawnsingoodnick4834 yeah ok fair enough. You’re a machine to be that bothered with 500sqm of lawn year in year out!
What HOC you going with this season?
Still undecided!
I'd like to know what height you mow at
20-22mm at the moment
