Wow, this was an excellent camera review! I love how you tested every camera mode, then showed the processed jpg from the Pixel, the raw and what your edited photo from the raw looked like. I preferred some of your edits but there were also some Pixel jpgs that I personally thought looked nicer or more natural. It just shows how good the Pixel's native image processing is. Thanks for putting this together!
I'd be interested in a 2x and 10x comparison. Edit: I have bought the 7 Pro and 15x can sometimes deliver slightly more detail than 10x, it seems to combine more frames than 10x. So I'd rather prefer a 15x comparison instead of 10x. 30x can make objects look worse.
unlike other reviewers I get the impression she's either a professional or at least an enthusiast with close to pro skills. The other reviewers I saw had casual knowledge at best. So it makes sense.
@@awilliams1701 yeah. She brought the best out of these cameras unlike other reviewers who just randomly click pictures and give their verdict. I bet no other reviewer had tried to capture a portrait by using the periscope lens (5x one).
@@awilliams1701 She's my go-to for phone camera reviews. There's a male photographer/videographer that also does really good phone camera reviews I forgot name but look up Samsung raw vs apple pro res and you'd probably find him. I like watching professionals review phone cameras. That's because they actually know what they're talking about and the excellent results they get with the cameras get me excited about the new phones.
I really enjoy your phone camera reviews and keep coming back when I want to see how different phone cameras behave. It's nice with real world examples showing what someone into photography can do with the phone cameras and that you show unedited vs edited photos. Thanks!
Thanks! I would also like to see the 7 Pro vs 6 Pro. Please compare the 2x since both have the same sensor and the 6 Pro should be capable to do it also. And also the 4x vs 5x with not ideal lighting since it is a smaller sensor. 7 Pro supposedly has extra detail between 2.1x-3.9x that would be nice to test also it it really makes a difference 😃
An excellent photographer talking about the cameras of the GP7PRO. This is how it has to be. Review of cameras made by a professional. Thanks Julia for do that ❤
I just want to know why everyone's P7Ps on YT look amazing for pictures. But I do the same thing with mine and it's inconsistent, grainy, noisefilled and some just unusable when night sight didn't work
Thank you for this video. This was definitely the clearest and easiest to digest camera review of the Pixel 7 Pro.. ordered my Hazel one yesterday night after I saw your video, was on the fence before :)
That single astro photo is so beautiful! Damn I own an iPhone 14 and would very much like to swap it for a Pixel 7 Pro. I’m such an avid fan of Pixels for their image quality’s colors and processing and their epic Astrophotography photo quality. They’re not known to have the best video quality out there but they’re closing the gap with the 7series! I own a Pixel 5 before btw. Oh, beautiful model you have right there! 😊 Great review as usual! 😊💙
Fantastic review! For the night sight photos, on the tripod, is there a difference in photos taken using "night sight" setting against ones taken where you manually set the ISO to 100 and manually set a long shutter? I am wondering if the nightsight is more setup for being handheld and merges a bunch of exposures to reduce noise or something
Yet another great review from one of the most underated, competent and down to earth on the crowded YT space, her only error is to primarily be a Sony user, the company that commenced the huge size sensor race! Now even Fuji has lost the plot going for massive file sizes from the sensors in the 2 new X bodies, pity that just so much glass just won't be able to cope, look at the problems Canon had with the images that came from the 90D!
You are talking about sensor size but it sounds like you are actually complaining about resolution. Sony hasn't made any cameras with sensors larger than FF to date and the Nikon D800 had a 36 MP sensor back in early 2012. Not sure the reason for the Sony bashing here.
Think you are correct. The issue that I find difficult to follow is that camera companies, here Fujifilm, are giving potential customers features that have not been asked for? I haven't seen numerous Fujifilm, say,X series owners stating their XT3's & XT4's fail to produce sufficiently large files to print large poster sized prints. In fact, all the reviews I have both read, watched and Fuji users site forums haven't registered such complaints. I continue to have an absolute high end complaint about Fuji's 2nd rate AF. It was way below par when the first X series bodies were released. In response to strident complaints, Fuji released a number of firmware updates to rectify the problem. Realistically, these cameras just shouldn't have been released without the software inbuilt. Perhaps I am still missing the point, however, for example, my "new" S10 has all the file size I need and often I simply retain the lovely sooc Fujifilm colour jpgs. I simply return to my basic question, is Fujifilm about to release more ,and naturally even more expensive X body cameras, when their very loyal customer base is satisfied the present offerings, maybe apart from the issue of AF which should just be nailed now?
I would love to see a comparison video between this year's phone and last year pixel in terms of zoom capability since google advertised how capable the software handles zoom photos.
I don’t see myself leaving iOS anytime soon but this was a really really cool review. As for your model Amo is photogenic and moves beautifully, I really liked seeing those super wide angle shots those were awesome!! 😊
@@KieferNguyen yeeeeah!! for me it's message, calendar, photo, and notes - I'm too reliant on their ecosystem to switch. do they have you by the cojones too?
The obvious question, but as someone who has had the opportunity to shot with both... do you have a favourite out of the Pixel 7 Pro and iPhone 14 based upon camera performance?
The Pixel 7 Pro wins for me this year.. I was pretty disappointed with the iPhone jpg processing as I mentioned in my review + I don't always want to shoot in raw. I like to have my jpgs ready to go when using a phone camera!
@@juliatrotti Hi! Great review! How are the raw files of the pixel 7 pro? Are they easy to use and to work with? The proRaw of the Iphone seems amazing and was able to find some sample on the net. Are you going to make available some raws of the p7p?
Thank you very much for your review. It helped me a lot in my decision. I am an amateur Sony full frame user. After all, the results between this modern phone und the Sony 7C on a large monitor are hardly comparable. The quality of the sony out of camera jpegs ist much higher. The images are much more natural looking. The Images of the phone look more like paintings. The lens of the phone seem also not to be able to achieve the quality of an exchangeble lens. I suppose my expectations were way too high then. I have to confess, that on a phone display I have hard time telling the difference though. May be this ist where my expectations come from. On a large display the phone still produces images equal to a compact small sensor camera in my eyes. Thanks again for the honest review.
Love your pixel videos! Your 6 pro video made me go out and buy one last year, wondering if you could compare that with the 7 pro! And if you could take some tests shots of how pictures all the way zoomed in on the 7 pro look?
I would really love to see 6pro 4x vs 7pro 5x in portraits (specially at good light conditions) I bought 6 pro last year cause of your portraits photos with 4x!
Yeah, that's the only downside with the 7 Pro is at the 5X is a downgrade or the 4X but I'm okay with that because the 2x is a lot better and will get used more than a 4X. I personally loved the 4x on my 6 pro but I'll get more use with the improved 2x on the 7 Pro.
@@freddybell8328 2x is gonna be really useful, but I think It Will be important for other kind of photos, no portraits. Although quality is great, focal lenght of main sensor (2x) is too short for portraits shots. That's one of the reasons why 6 pro makes sooo beautiful portraits at 4x (104 mm focal lenght). And this year, 5x focal lenght is even bigger (117mm). That's why I think it's really important to see 4x 6 pro vs 5x 7 pro. Which is gonna be more important, size sensor or focal lenght?? I suppose It will depend of light conditions... I would LOVE to see this!!
@@danieldelafuentetoro7272 The compression of the 4x is better than the 2x crop but using the 2x gets rid of the distortion from the main camera. Judging by her 2x portrait shots the results look great and I'm sure a lot of people will get use out of it. I actually made a reddit thread in the pixel 6 reddit and a lot of people said they primarily use the 2x an improved 2x will be welcome by many. It's also worth noting theres a ton of situations where you just can't use the 4x for portraits because you're too close. They should've kept the 4x imo though.
It looks like a refined version of the 6 pro which I have. I have a feeling they could probably bring a lot of these features via software update. Never the less, I'll skip this generation and probably get the 8 pro. The differences this time just aren't that substantial. Frankly the slow motion is still a downer. I noticed you didn't show Cinematic video mode? Nor the action pan/long exposure photo options. Thank you either way Julia. You make scenes pop
She showed action pan? Are the upgraded ultra wide and digital 2X are a big deal. Plus the software for the cameras is more refined, which is the biggest deal. Now it's to whether or not that I could be updated on the 6 Pro maybe. But Google's not going to do that.
I really appreciate you using the telephoto for portait, a lot of people shit on the pixel portrait compared to the iPhone but forget the telephoto lens that is great, I'd love to see a comparison of the x4 of the 6 pro compared to the x5 of the 7 pro
