I used to operate a pair of these on a college campus. We used them for all sorts of things; mowing, snow blowing, bucket work, broom. This makes them very appealing to larger campuses. However, we found that they really don't do any one thing better than anything else. It's most definitely a multi-tool, where it can do all these things, but none of them very well. All the old guys I worked with really likes how easy they were to get in and out of with the side entrance door. The height of the bucket was disappointing, with a snow bucket on the machine we could not dump into the back of another toolcat. The engine is directly under the passenger seat, that makes the machine pretty loud when its at full RPM, loud enough I wore ear plugs whenever I was in there. All that being said, if I had the money, I would have one in my garage.
What that Bobcat as doing was all wheel steer (wheels turn opposite directions). Crab steering is the wheels turn the same direction so the machine moves kinda sideways (like a crab). A car has front steering. Some machines have rear steer, mostly forklifts. Ventrac (and others) has articulating steering (wheels do not turn, the machine "bends". I never knew that had so many attachments. AC is always good! I love your channel.
💥 Nice neighbor you have to let you use his equipment. Christy is going to have you finding all the little Christmas trees in there now. The little guy at the end sure has a lot of energy. Keep on tractoring!
Tim, that mower looks like it works great, I have the Kubota L2501 and wish I could get one of these to assist with all the undergrowth on our property. Our viewers have been suggesting just this!
Happened to see a similar unit at Just Add Water Boats this past week. They use it as a yard machine for moving boats and the like. With the crab steer that would be a very maneuverable unit. Thanks for demoing it for us!
That is a nice machine and it does the job of clearing the area you used it for. That is a great looking machine and Bobcats are nice machines anyway and I have operated a few, but never owned one.
@@Joey-ve7ku For the price I'd rather spend it on an actual tractor, that UTV may be fine for some, but with a Bobcat sticker on it, its far from reasonably priced.
I used one for landscaping and snow removal, 8' pusher box, loader bucket, landscape rake, and it comes with a hydraulic dump box. Fastest snow machine I have used in tight conditions. Mine was the turbo model adding extra hp.
I know this is an old comment, but are you sure about that? Kioti is made by Daedong and these (the newer ones) have Doosan engines. Older ones had Kubotas.
Look8ng st one used for 23 thousand . Been lurking these Vida and I just keep seeing more and more cost vs it's going to be good for my acreage and pastures .
I am doing lawn care and. Want to do property management and doing lawn care part time but I would like to do property management full time and how much is the ventrac I love that machine and I live in west Tennessee and there is hills
my local bobcat dealer had one many years ago with a grooming mower.. it was chillin in front of the dealer on the front lawn and the grass was tall.. it was a saturday and nobody was there.. seeing how bobcat and case ih had the same key i decided to play with it... I ended up mowing the whole front lawn for em... lol looking back on that as an adult I figure i prolly shouldn't of done that... lol.
Oh man. I thought you were going to have a new skid steer! 😍 This is still pretty awesome. I didnt even know that bobcat made something like this! Thanks for sharing your neighbors toy! Haha.
That was a perfect opportunity to get the finance committee to buy your own! Bobcat just came out with a line of tractors as well. They look like re-badged Kioti Tractors, but I'm not sure!? Be interesting to see the price and specs against the 1025r, etc.
you probably dont care but if you are bored like me during the covid times you can stream all the new movies and series on InstaFlixxer. Been binge watching with my brother for the last months :)
Tim, I want to thank you for doing this product test. I did not know that anything existed in this category. A light weight skidsteer plus a compact tractor (rear 3PT and PTO), plus UTV plus small snocat (quadtrac conversion is available, I think aftermarket). I just heard about this a few hours ago, and my prelim research has me drooling to spend my childrens' inheritance on this. It seems to be pricey. Does any one know of competing products in this segment? Does anyone have serious downsides to report? And can you use an digging tool of some sort (backhoe, excavator)?
Where is this bobcat located in Arizona and what is the price range for a front loader and a back hoe and maybe a post hole digger. I am south east of Tuson
I think these definitely seem like specialty equipment like the Ventrac. Seems like they're most suitable for municipalities or corporations, not necessarily home use. I was surprised to see this thing is 61 hp!
Michael Taylor it’s great for a big property it’s like a bobcat and a gator put together can use all the bobcat attachments ac heated cab and a dump bed very handy piece of equipment
I enjoyed this video and especially the scripture at the end! I recently had some trees removed from my back yard, due to finances they only cut down the trees and hauled away most of them. Now I want my yard to look smooth and green. How can I remove the remaining tree branches, small logs, and weeds?? What machine should I rent? Heavy duty rear tune tiller, bobcat, or what? HELP!
Hay Tim I came up with a way to charge your trailer battery's and its a lot better then the small charge line thats in you 7 pin, plug cost depending if you do the wiring or a trailer supply outfit does it or a wench shop. Have you ever seen the battery cable lines that tow trucks use well I have the same size wire going to the front and rear of my dodge 2500 diesel truck for the wench which is on a 2 inch receiver so with that in mind I wired the two battery's in the motor home to the plug that would plug into the charge line for the wench at the rear of the truck I also have a switch in the cab that I can flip to turn off that line thats wired to the front and rear of the truck. Because I did't want 320 amp of power out on the front to ground out it I hit some thing. if your interested let me know
@@TractorTimewithTim So these tractors are not by Bobcat themselves like the 14 Ton excavator they have now ? Kind of a badge engineering system then ? What Kioti is concerned i never heard of them cause - i just had a look - there's only 2 dealers of that brand in the whole of my country & the Bobcat tractors will not be sold here ! Thx for the fast answer though .
what about the cab and getting hit with the low hanging limbs that is where i get in trouble with mine i get the job of doing them areas cause of no cab and the fact mine and the fact mine is just lower to the ground and fits better there
Seemed like plenty of room. But I had sensory overload, so I may have not evaluated that perfectly! Go check one out at the dealer. This would be an easy test.
I use one fairly regularly on my job and I'm comfortable at 6'. You might be pushing it at your height but test one out. They are pricey but we(school district) them for a variety of tasks.
jeepers i got no call from uns that the sweet corn was ready, as i would of drove out for a few ears of it. ha!! the state park where my wife works at, has one of them, says the guys love it. too rich for my blood -oh. lol
Maybe I’m spoiled by a skid steer performance, but I still think the tough cut attachment on the ventrac will do a better job, or the batwing on Johnny 5
Powerful little machine, nice of Neighbor Nick to bring it by.
My dad want one of those for our house. Cool video Tim
We also have an E 35 excavator and a S175 skid loader from bobcat and we love them.
Hey Tim! We use are 2007 toolcat 5600 up here in Maine with a plow and snowblower the guys and I love it very much!
What a nice neighbor! That was heartwarming at the end when his kid ran into the frame :)
Okay Tim now that was a nice piece of equipment you reviewed it cut those weeds down nicely thumbs up on this one
I like the mower out front. It allows you to see everything. 👍👍👍

That's awesome Tim. Looks like a great machine
This is a 61K machine new. Thanks for your review.
Paul Sergojan this of a brand new 4066r hmmm I’ll take the Deere.
yeah, for 61K your better off getting a track skid steer.
Great neighbors. We are blessed with some to here in Buckner Mo.
We have one of them 560 0s and we call it a toolcat we have one at our turkey barns they are very nice we have a bucket and forks

i've looked into it while shopping for a tractor but they are expensive!...
Blast357 that why my dad doesn't want to buy one
Blast357 think a tractor is far more variable in what it can do.
Any of these toys are expensive LOL. Gotta pay to play.

Can you imagine how many Appartments/Condos you could clean snow out of with a Snow Wing on it....that and a Toro Grandstand you would be set.
What is a snow wing
They look like handy machines. I saw a guy using one with a set of forks on it. He said they didn’t lift as high as he would have liked.
That did an AWESOME job mowing!
All that good honey bee food! Don't cut till winter :)
All the cool stuff love it
Seen video with snowblower on one very impressive.
that thing looks awesome!
Theyre great units. Only downsides are the high cost and the quick rusting if you live in the rust belt.
Nice machine! Quite flexible in tight spaces!
My uncle owns a landscaping business and he has one and he loves it because you don't need a tractor and a gator
I have one and it's a great utility machine.
Hi Tim,
Awesome machine!
Put it on your Christmas wish list!!
The 5610 comes with a 3 point with pto, think the pto is limited to 25 hp or something but it could replace a compact tractor

Well, this is a ‘skid steer’ deck...same one used by Bobcat skid steer loaders. I should have pointed that out.
you should do a comparison and like tractor swap see what they think of your tractor and so fourth
Wow 60k for just the unit not including the bush hog!!!

“Try it out.” We’re all regular folks out here! 😏

It’s true comparison would not be to Johnny but to Vinney. Put that brush cutter on your Gator and see how she goes.
Compare it to a skid steer loader
