Happy Birthday Michelle….I’m 75. Now that was a milestone. I will say, turning 50 was very hard for me…before I considered myself a girl, then suddenly I was a Woman… 60 was nothing..70 was the same…75, kicked my ass. I realized I’m on my last chapter. So, enjoy every single minute! Don’t take anything for granted…live, love laugh and be happy.
I refuse to accept that you are on your last chapter. You are 75 and Fabulous.

Michele, thank you so much for addressing not wanting kids and NORMALIZING it! I'm 36, and I don't want kids at all. I'm fine with my choice, and so is my partner, but other people make you feel like an alien and excluded (especially if you live in the Midwest). I'm really happy you said what you said. I wanted to ask you that on Instagram, but I didn't know how to in a way that didn't seem judgy/disrespectful. Everyone deserves the family they want - if that looks like you and a dog, you and a partner, or just you, that's fine, and people need to accept that. Thank you again.

Wow. Your parents sound amazing. It’s is very rare to have parents from Asian/ Chinese culture to realize and understand, not to mention verbalize that it is liberating to have a choice, a real, not pressured, choice for women to decide if they want kids.

50 for me was easy. Turning 40 hit me harder than 50. You are gorgeous, and have a successful career, and are loved by so many!
Michele, my oldest daughter told me when she was 10, that she never wanted kids. She's now 38, and her career is all she wants. She never changed her mind. Her boyfriend doesn't want children either. It's their decision to make, period.
Your hair is fabulous. Don't change it. It actually looks like you had it done professionally, adding gray. It suits you. It doesn't make you look older. People are strange. Makes you look poor? How ridiculous.
I admire you so much. Have a fabulous, healthy and happy 50th year.

Thank you for talking about not having kids. I never take it personally either but my mom said too, if she had the choice she wouldn’t chose motherhood. She was still an amazing mother and still is. I knew deep inside I wanted to be a mother, so so bad. My daughter is 6 months now and I’m so happy she gets to grow up and decide for herself 🩷

Happy birthday, Michele! As a graying 45-year-old, I have some thoughts about the hair color thing. I get a fair amount of compliments on my hair, but I also get some “Oh, I could never.” I think for some people, the idea that a woman would choose to look her age (or older) is deeply unsettling. So I’m betting that those negative comments come from a place of discomfort, of having their whole view of aging challenged.
Happy birthday Michele! I will turn 50 in a few months and really appreciate your honesty and vulnerability as you share your journey. I have never feared aging but for some reason, approaching 50 has been much harder than I thought. Thank you for helping me see what vibrant and gifted women we are, even as we age. Happy birthday you young thing! My 50’s sent me some issues with hormones, of course, but I’m 63 now and that’s behind me. Life keeps getting better and better. I hope you find the same for your future! Edit: my last big knitting project was a christening gown for my granddaughter. I think it’s time to start a new project and knitting was a discovery in my 50’s.

I would say def have credit cards, but learn to use them judiciously and, most importantly, always pay off the balance before the due date. Not just the minimum, but the full amount. So you have to determine how much money to spend on the cc so you can afford to pay it off. The idea is to build good credit as it helps towards loans, mortgages, leases, rental agreements, etc.

Looking back when I turned 50 (that was a long time ago), I was a bit shaken up but now I can confidently say 50 is quite young so embrace yourself and enjoy life.

I just wanted to say that almost every day that you upload, it always keeps me company while I'm putting my face on for the day hehe. I'm based in California and usually, I start to put on makeup shortly after I wake up (as I am writing this I am using the ombre premiere Laque Chanel eyeshadow, and I just always can't help but agree with how finicky it is to use every time I put it on lol). I usually take at least an hour or two to get ready so your long vlogs always keep me plenty of company as well!
But besides that point, I just want to tell you how much I enjoy your presence, and as someone who is 24, queer, and an Asian American, and watches your channel: you really feel like the guardian I really wish I had. I really hope this doesn't come off strange but just as you gave advice in this video or recommended beauty products and just showing how you live your life are all things that I use or can use to help guide my own life or validate my own opinions.
Coming to understand your character and who you are as a person does not only allow me to perceive you as a role model but also as someone who offers a safe space of comfort and trust. I hope these words reach you, I don't normally think of it this deeply when I watch your content. But as I settle into these words and thoughts, I almost become emotional haha.
I just want to let you know how grateful I am for guiding me throughout college, I recently just found an internship at a small magazine company called Totem!

You are a charm! Hint with the CCard sitch. Use a credit card instead of cash or check...live within your means and pay off the whole bill every penny every darn month. Use a CC card that gives 1-2% back on charges and get PAID to use the card. My wife and I have accumulated $1000's of $ using our very only one CCard this way. We charge everything on the card down to coffee tea and muffins. We Pay off the whole bill and reap the rewards. Happy Birthday! And use your CC card to make money!

Literally on the day of my birthday my life came into clarity and I decided not to care what other people think about me and my life became so much better. I loved my 20s I really loved my 30s, 40s were OK but, 50 was the best. A very happy birthday to you.!!

HAPPY 50. my 50’s were amazing. I’m 62. And everything changed. Ha ha ha meaning hair, eyes, skin. 😂😂I’m still enjoying it all. We deserved every wrinkle we have I say ❤❤❤❤❤. I don’t pressure my one and only baby she’s 30 😂😂to have kids. She’s focused on work and travels a lot.

Happy Birthday Michele!! At 50 I decided I knew some shit and decided I was a wise woman. I also say "no" to things I really don't want to do. Wishing you joy and happiness! Have a great day! I intended to get a second dog when Lucy turned 2 (she is 3) but she could care less about other dogs. She's a real people person dog and a true lap dog so we are going to stick with being a one dog household.

Happy birthday, Michele ♡ i'm turning 32 this autumn & I've been embracing my grey hairs since my 26, I was actually quite happy about it as I've always inexplicably found women with grey/white hair to be beautiful. I also like wrinkles in people haha, that's weird I know but isn't the fine lines around the eyes & mouth in older people look beautiful, also, the hands. It might have to do with my lovely grandmother who has the most gorgeous hands & the most adorable smile 🥰 I don't know, there's a beauty in aging & I like to see people embrace it.
