I absolutely loved it and I’ve been looking and waiting for your reaction to this teaser trailer all day guys Miss you both so much Great Reaction Kyle and Jessica 🦁👑🥰🥰
In the words of Rafiki: "It Is Time!". As a huge fan of the original "The Lion King" from 1994 (which turns 30 this June!), this looks amazing! Great reaction as always guys! :)
Looks a hell of a lot better than the 2019 remake of The Lion King, thanks to the upgrade from Jon Favreau to Barry Jenkins allowing for animals to be more expressive and full of emotion, allow for more freedom in the color grading and cinematography, and the choice of having Lin-Manuel Miranda do the music/original songs. I was lucky to see footage at D23 in 2022 that had the animals in Mufasa show emotion. Also the D23 footage showed that while this is a prequel, it will have scenes in the present day where Rafiki will have Timon and Pumbaa helping him narrate the story of Mufasa to Kiara, who Blue Ivy Carter will voice.
@i2iDisney Well with Beyonce returning and we know that she is Nala, means that her daughter is voicing Kiara....from what I have heard this film is taking place during the timeline of Lion King 2: Simba's Pride with Rafiki telling Mufasa's story to Kiara...also looks like they're mixing in Lion King 1 1/2 with that little shot of Timon and Pumba and showing the events of The Lion King from their viewpoint...as far as the snow shown at the beginning of the trailer, it looks like they are drawing from an episode of The Lion Guard because in that episode, the Lion Guard visits a snowy mountain environment on one of their missions...one thing I am not sure about though in the trailer is if the 2 cubs they show jumping on the hippos are Mufasa and Sarabi, Mufasa and Scar or maybe Kiara and her brother Kion...and in reference to the latter pair, in The Lion Guard, it is shown that Kiara has a younger brother named Kion and explains later in the series why we don't see him during the later events of The Lion King 2, especially during the final face off between Zira's group and Simba's where both Kiara and Kovu intervene to stop the fighting...the Lion Guard was an animated show on Disney Junior and I think it's still on the Disney+ streaming site...it was a pretty cute show and the music in it was good too.
What did you think of this trailer?

Everyone is hating on a movie over facial expressions it really doesn't matter as long as the story is good
I understand the complaint from those people, but it’s still overblown.
