The word Stan is now officially in the Webster's dictionary due to this song. A Stan is 'an extremely or excessively enthusiastic and devoted fan.'

Em's got a lot of great story telling songs. (Though most are horror stories.) This song is the reason the term "Stan" is in the dictionary now. Which does mean obsessed fan or a super fan. Also Em's fan base are called "Stans". (Kinda like Taylor swift fans are called swifties)
It's awesome seeing someone react to eminem genuinely for the first time.

I've seen several comments about this being the censored version. As a community I feel like we're forgetting, and I GREATLY APPRECIATE, she is doing "REAL" first time reactions and not faking like most youtubers... by definition that means she doesn't really know it's a censored song and even if she does know it's "censored" she doesn't know that the censored content is important to the song. You have to remember most songs are censored bc of "curse words" so its just a random silence but you can still decipher what they said using context clues. Em is pretty much the only rapper/artist that has whole phrases censored, sometimes the phrase doesn't even contain cursing, (I.E.: ill take 7 kids from columbine.... ) bc the "message" has to be censored.

Np, I was just reading the comments and kinda taken aback. I just kept asking myself. "I mean I get what you're/ they're saying... I hate that it was censored too but.... HOW WOULD SHE KNOW IT MATTERS IF IT'S A 1ST REACTION ?!?" Lol.
🤔 Do you like his funny, serious, inspiring, serial killer, or "the struggle" songs from him bc I have requests from each one but don't know which you would enjoy so I don't know which to ask for.

stan is one of the more serious songs. did you ever checked out white america ? as far as i remember the story in the song is fictional but was inspired by real experiences.
No this didnt actually happen to eminem but he said he was inspired by some of the fan mail at the time he was getting and wanted to tell people to calm down lol
Em came home to a dude in his house that got by security a couple years back and had to wrestle him to the ground till the cops/ security came

You really need to start doing the dirty version of Eminem songs it just ruins it and you’ll miss the point of the song. It’s art nothing more.

@@WhyAmIReacting try to check out the uncensored version in your free time. The third verse missed out some context of his girlfriend and where she is and what he plans to do and the fourth verse is completely missing huge chunks of it. I believe this audio was for radios so they had to completely chop it up to be allowed airtime. Theres also a slightly less edited video out there too.
