- This magnificent hymn is said to be based on the Welsh ballad 'Can mlynedd i nawr' (which translates to "A Hundred Years from Now"). It's robust, exciting and fun to both sing and play - and is one which (generally) has a swelling of choir and congregations.
Add in a magnificent reharmonisation by Noel Rawsthorne, and you have a thoroughly enjoyable hymn - I hope you enjoy it as much as I did practicing!

A new hymn for me. Nice!
Part of the reason I enjoy sharing, as well as listening to others play, hymns - there's so many incredibly beautiful compositions out there, many of which we don't know about until we stumble across them.
St. Denio is one which lends itself to some incredible word painting at the extremes of fortissimo & pianissimo - have a look at the verses, and it'll make sense: hymnary.org/text/immortal_invisible_god_only_wise
A beautiful piece with great dynamism!
It's hymns like this which make a top 10 near impossible - they're so fantastic!
