Great video! Thank you! Just one question: How did you make that upright, vertical axis with the wire wheel ? Did you purchase it? If so, what's the brand name, please? What a great tool! Thank you so much!
Nice ! I did the wood shoes and nails DIY thing with straps to keep them on . Issues though with the dirt slash slite moist dirt sticking in between nails but hey it's free lol . Ur looks cool I would have to add some weight to that for my yard . Awesome tho
i really dont think that does a effective job...my aerator pulls out plugs of soil and root the size of my finger...your wasting you time...sorry...pretty bloody creative though
There are plug aerators there are spike aerators and there are slit aerators, three methods for the same target, getting water, nutrients and seed into the soil and loosing it up some. Chemical aeration can be used to get 3 of the 4, no opening for seed.
To really be a DIY thing it needs to be made with something that any and everyone usually has around the house. There aren't a lot of people that keep angle iron or a welding machine handy. If you gotta go somewhere to get something welded then it really isn't a DIY project.
I disagree... Anyone can learn how to weld, cheaply too. Stick welders are like 100 bucks at harbor freight. Bed frames on the side of the road are the perfect scrap metal for projects like this. If you want to do it, you can.
This is nice I used a wood roller like this to make a lawn striper, tow behind one for my tractor.
I wonder if you added weights to make it heavier
How to make a home made motorized scarifier?
Great video! Thank you!

Is that working?
I would have used longer thicker nails with the tops ground off.
What is your wire wheel mounted on??
Check out my previous video about how i made this machine with wire wheel. Thanks for comment. 👌
Needs more weight I think.
Yes, but that is just "prototype"..
You could just wear the spiked shoes and save alot of work
Where’s the fun in that??
That log not going to be heavy enough.
Sweet! Plus lawn aerators always look cool!
I would pull this behind my lawn mower instead of pushing it
Same here, I have 3 acres and a bad back.
Good job, but try PVC pipe..... I will last longer.
Show us your build.
Welding without gloves? Deadly irresponsible.
That rips the grass up and is no good ,the tines should be sprung so that it just makes holes not rips .Useless ,no in fact worse .Sorry .
Mate you really should be wearing gloves 😳
Just buy one, they are only 20$
very nice
🤨🤔
I understand that this is only a prototype, but in my opinion the only thing this is going to do is disperse nails throughout your lawn.
I would use .50 big caliber ammo as my nails.
