- So, we have been getting a lot of requests for a damper video. But since it is such a pain in the butt, I have been delaying it until a day came to do one. Well while I was rebuilding a fellow Anajet owners machine, I took that time to do this video.
We do appreciate everyone who contacts us and asks questions.
Thanks for watching!

Thanks for this a great video...
I hope that u make video how to replace a white tubes
Thank a lot for these technical videos on the MPi's, they are very helpful. Keep them coming!
Wow I've been working with support for 4 weeks since i got my MP5i trying to figure out why i'm banding on my magenta. They have had me replace and adjust wiper blades flush and clean and purge and still banding on magenta and only magenta. After seeing this video it all makes sense now. I think i'm going to take a look at my dampers next as its the only thing left to do. I have new Inks in the machine and all so thanks for the video it is a great help.
Thanks for watching. we have been so glad that our videos have helped out so many others.
Did it work?
Thank You my friend
No problem. Thanks for watching our videos
I am on replacement number 2 of the white dampers because the instructions they sent were not that graphic and I am pretty sure I had done it wrong. I didn't know about those clips, I just figured out that the black bar holding the plates sturdy can com off all the way.
If this doesn't work I may need to change out the white tubs but tech says that's way involved and want me to send the printer back to CA....I'm east coast!
I wish you had this video out before I attempted this ....wish me luck. I'm about to power her up and see if it will print
yeah not all their instructions are all that detailed. thats why we try to do videos inbetween printing. it seems to be a ongoing trend.
I have no boot screen. Just lights up with an error light on control board. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated
How many dampers in total this printer have ill like to replace all of my dampers thanks
Man i appreciate the time you took for people like me, question? I have same machine and i flush all, except the very first pair of white tubes on your right facing machine doesnt flush..all the rest are clear except that one, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
What tool do you need to take off the side clamp
Hello, have you ever changed the tubing from the dampers to the print head?
i have in the past but its not too common
Now that I have the Print heads operational, I still can't keep white ink in the dampers. There's ink in the back compartment of the damper but not that front pocket. Any idea what that's about? Suction problem? I'm going nuts with this thing! I finally thought I was going to be up and running again, never ends with this thing
well the dampers wont always stay full. for us they only fill when we start to print. There could be a suction problem though. What firmware are you running?
SignWorx NC it turned out to be a suction problem. I had to pull air from the tubs that went between the print head and dampers, now it runs perfect.
for now!
How did you pull air from the tubs? I assume by tubs you are referring to the little round units under the dampers. Thanks in advance.
How did you pull air from the tubes? I'm sure we're having the exact problem you mentioned so any information would greatly be appreciated.
SignWorx NC, how do you pull air from the tubes as #realitycheck .wake-upcall mentioned below? I'm sure we're having the exact problem they mentioned so any information would greatly be appreciated.
How do you know if you need dampers?
if there any any ink dripping, that means there might be a tiny hole or the seal of the plastic is defective and leaking out of the side. Or if they aren't filling up when you start printing or doing a startup fill. If that is happening they may be clogged or damaged. But there could be other issues causing print issues. What issues are you happening that you are thinking about the dampers?
SignWorx NC your freaking awesome man. thanks for the speedy reply! My Lines are not filling and after watching your videos I notice my white damper is leaking pretty bad. I purchased this machine used. I hope I'm not unscrewed
yeah used machines can be tricky sometimes. But I would definitely replace the damper if it looks like its leaking and then try again. But the biggest issue I have seen with used printers is those who sell them haven't taken care of them properly and the heads can sometimes be clogged. but lets hope that's not the issue and its just the dampers. If you have any other questions just let me know.
