Who told you it's first in ASIA??😅 There are many intangible heritage declared by UNESCO in all countries. China, Japan have even more number of these than India.
It's probably the first festival to be included in the list from Asia. But that's Nothing unique. The entire Durga Puja festival isn't included in list. It's the Durga Puja Celebrations that occur in the city of Kolkata, that are included. Let's not be hyper-nationalistic.
