Always spend good money on anything that is between you and the ground. Boots, beds, tyres, ladders etc. Get a good set of boots, and if they are uncomfortable after a good day's work, get a check up to see if you need insoles custom made. The difference it makes is well worth the cost, and allows you to painlessly be on your feet all day without risking long term injury.
i started buying my sunnies from bunnings, $30, they are polarised and safety at the same time. built pretty good too. havent snapped a pair yet, only lost few.
Great vid! one note on hats, I bought myself a decent legionnaire style cap (with the flaps) and it's been a gamechanger, I hate earbuds so being able to wear earmuffs and have really good (almost perfect) sun protection is awesome. Might seem a little dorky at first but I won't go back!
I found for carpentry cut on site even fixout, mid roof van something you can stand in alot better than having a ute, bigger payload and storage, more organised most mwb vans have 3.1m load length can fit most sheets and doors anything longer goes on roof platform, alot of them come 4x4
Can you please do a video on how you got your apprenticeship. Can you also mention if you got a tool allowance or if you bought all your tools by yourself. Thanks
Applause from a retired tradie, all good. Make it easy on yourself and you'll do a better job. It's good to have something better than a roll of duct tape in the first aid box, and know how to use what is in it. Shit can happen.
So different than us in canada... We mostly run vans because you know... It snows alot. I got 2wd gmc or Chevy junk... I wish the boss would splurge for Ford transits or Nissan NV or Mercedes sprinter... Only guys in head office area got one of those
Having been to Oz (Australia) and worked a bit of construction they don't use wormdrive saws as lots of Carpenters do in the States ,they do have a 91/4"/235mm builders saw which is like a sidewinder on steroids
Buckaroo do great tool belts here in Aus. Most tool companies have their own line of belts too. Makita has a really comfy belt, plenty of add ons (Frogs) as well.
Do a vid of all the legal and safety tickets you need in Australia. Also good video, all of that gear would run into the thousands of dollars though be good if you included the average prices.
Most importantly, a back-up set of lipstick, mascara, and hair product for when the spakies make it to site.😂 this coming from a sparky. Well put together bro.
Why am I watching this when I’m not a tradie

Can i start construction work or being a tradie without an apprentichip? What exactly is a apprentichip?
its training on the job you need an apprenticeship to become a fully qualified tradie
And also look up a toil belt company i. The states here called occidental leather they are really thick leather with wool belts
Buckaroo do great tool belts here in Aus. Most tool companies have their own line of belts too. Makita has a really comfy belt, plenty of add ons (Frogs) as well.

SecretSickle89 all you need is a white card, recognised nationally, each trade has its own qualification
other decent tickets are you height card and confined spaces card, a lot of jobs are looking for those tickets

Been in the trade for 25 years, I do not and never have worn work boots.
My feet hate them, they are way too heavy.
Those boots you have suck you have to wear the thickest socks imaginable or they cut into your ankles.
You started at 17?
Ditto.
