Part 2 is here! Aside from the headways from he!! and being super tired, I really enjoyed riding all nighttime trains, so I'll probably do it again next year.

Actually it's not the case. Some trains had their stickers changed to green after the transfers of the r62a from 7 to 6

So in NYC Subway history, the 8 was first used by the BMT's Astoria Line from 1917 to 1949 and then the IRT's Third Avenue Line from 1967 to 1973. The line's portion in the Bronx (it also ran in Manhattan, but the Manhattan section was shut down before 1967) was too long to be considered a shuttle so it was labeled 8 and ran on elevated track between Gun Hill Road and 149th Street. The remaining line was shut down in 1973, and demolition began in 1977 and was completed by the end of that year.
Thanks! I *might* cut the 2 Night episodes together for a fact-tastic episode. There are a lot of cool things you get to see at night that you don't see during the daytime.
The former Bx55 replaced the 8 train.
What the mayor should do is actually enter the subway and see for himself that it is much safer than he thinks rather than relying on a stereotype. Also the pigeon on the train bit was so hilarious, kudos to LilyShine!

At 66th Street,You see a long red line,and a mosaic of Grown Up friends
You should take either:
1. The Montauk branch from Jamaica @ 01:00
2. Take the New Haven line to either Danbury, CT, or New Haven, CT.
3. Take the Harlem Line all the way to Wassiac.
4. Take the Hudson Line to Poughkeepsie.
OR
5. Take the Main Line to Ronkonkama, then Greenport.

The Blue work locomotive is called the R156. The Yellow work locomotive is called the R52. The official name of the R156 is called the MPI MP8AC-3. I see both locomotives roll by almost every night on the 6 line.

So First U Take The (L) To Livonia Av To The (3) and then take the (3) to Utica Av where u get the (4) and then get off at Franklin for the (S) to prospect Park! The work train that you saw that look like a R62 is a R127 it's used to for work/garbage trains for the subway system only used for workers only for transportation (might be wrong)
I believe the cars at 37:55 are classified as an "R127" type car. They were built for work train use only.

The 50th Street/8th Avenue station was below the previous Madison Square Garden that was at 8th Avenue between 49th-50th. I can't find any evidence or photos that tell/show there was an opening directly to the old Garden.

27:27 Some R142As from the (6) were converted to R188s for the (7). Corona Yard/Flushing crews never seem to take the stickers off
ive ridden the NYC subway at 2 am before and explored around at night, and i can say with certainty that NYC is safe at night. just certain places like Hunts Point and Brownsville, places you wouldn't go during the day, would be dangerous at night. The big reason im moving to NYC is for the 24 hour service it provides

Amusingly the "This is an accessible station" announcements sound like they could be saying "This is an acceptable station" which yes the accessible stations do seem to be maintained to an acceptable quality.

Did you know that on the Franklin Avenue shuttle the numbers on that did not get black background and also white colored this was the old version then MTA removed them and got replaced by the Black backgrounds and the white colored for the numbers and the background But MTA kept them
